Multiple groups, including the Area Women’s Ministry, Area Presbytery, and the Pastorate, shared heartwarming testimonies, underscoring the remarkable accomplishments and contributions of Prophet Kankam and his wife, Margaret. They said these contributions have significantly elevated the Ashaiman Area’s stature.

Testimonies resonated with the couple’s exceptional interpersonal skills, genuine Christian lifestyle, unwavering respect for all individuals regardless of their status, remarkable prayer life, love for children, integrity, punctuality, and active participation in social activities involving members, officers, and ministers of the Area.

Prophet Beditor was also lauded for his courageous approach to challenging issues and his steadfast adherence to the church’s policies.

The Chairman commended Prophet Beditor for embodying the teachings he imparts, making the testimony of his exemplary character effortless.

Apostle Nyamekye also acknowledged Prophet Beditor’s significant efforts in facilitating a seamless transition for his successor.

During his sermon, Apostle Samuel Osei Asante, Kaneshie Area Head and Executive Council Member, urged believers to apply the talents bestowed upon them by God for the advancement of the church. Quoting from Ephesians 4:7-16, he highlighted that upon accepting Christ, believers are endowed with spiritual gifts and abilities by the Holy Spirit to fulfill their divine purpose.

Apostle Asante emphasised that every believer is vital in the church, provided they align themselves with their strengths and God-given graces.

In their response, Prophet Kankam Beditor and his wife expressed gratitude towards God, the church leadership, and the various individuals and groups that supported them throughout their ministry journey in Ashaiman. They encapsulated their appreciation with a reading from John 16:7-8, emphasising the necessity for them to make way for their successor, who will elevate the Ashaiman Area to a higher level through God’s divine power.

Asamankese Area Bids Farewell To Apostle Obuobi & Family

A send-off service was held today in honour of the General Secretary-Elect of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, and his family at Akroso in the Asamankese Area of the Church as he prepares to officially assume the high office of the Church, come Saturday, September 2, 2023.

The joyous event was officiated by Apostle Mike Etrue, an Executive Council Member and the Coordinator for the Eastern Regional Coordinating Committee (ERCC) of the Church. The service, held at the Samuel Richard Asomaning Memorial Temple, brought together a host of dignitaries from various walks of life, including active and retired ministers of the Church, state officials, traditional authorities, relatives, friends, well-wishers, and members of the Church within and outside the Asamankese Area.

Preaching on the topic “Called to Service” with John 9:1-5 as his main biblical reference, Apostle Mike Etrue, who also serves as the Koforidua Area Head, emphasised that God sends, calls, and appoints individuals to fulfill specific assignments.

He, however, highlighted that the execution of these assignments should glorify God, as the purpose of every task is to give glory to Him, rather than serve personal interests.

He encouraged Church leaders, especially ministers, to serve with the intention of bringing glory to God.

“It is my prayer that as you (Apostle Samuel Obuobi) go to the Headquarters to serve as General Secretary, you will work hard to glorify God,” he said.

The Koforidua Area Head further noted that people called to serve God’s purpose must work hard within the opportunity and time in accordance with the will of God.

He, therefore, urged Christians, particularly Church leaders, to work diligently, saying: “Every opportunity God gives us in His vineyard comes with a time limit. This is your time, so please do not be lazy, work hard.”

Touching on “Calling,” Apostle Etrue advised believers to accept that it is God who qualifies and calls men according to His eternal purpose

“No man can promote himself to God for honour. It is God who honours people,” he stated.

He quoted 1 Corinthians 1:26-27 and reminded Church leaders that it is the Lord who chooses, calls, and honours them, while urging them to diligently carry out their entrusted responsibilities.

“Therefore, be humble and do the work entrusted to you and to do it diligently,” he added.

Expounding on “Service,” Apostle Etrue said that a call to service is a call to meet a particular need so as to fulfil God’s purpose concerning His purpose.

He highlighted virtues such as faithfulness, obedience, love, and fruitfulness as key qualities that should characterise the service of every Christian leader.

During the service, the Asamankese Area presbytery, the Area Women’s Ministry and the Area pastorate shared heartfelt testimonials about the outgoing Area Head and his wife, Juliana. They acknowledged their significant contributions to the Church’s growth in the Area over the past two years and presented them with citations to acknowledge their commendable service.

In a brief remark, Nana Kwabena Ofori II, Chief of Akroso; expressed his delight that such a momentous event had taken place in Akroso, a town of great significance in the history of The Church of Pentecost.

He praised Apostle Samuel Obuobi for his outstanding work as Asamankese Area Head and extended well wishes to him and his family as he embarks on his new mandate.

In response, the Obuobi family expressed gratitude to God for seeing them through the turbulent period they endured when they first arrived in the Asamankese Area. He also thanked the leadership of The Church of Pentecost and the entire Asamankese Area for their support throughout their two-year stay in the Area.

Subsequently, Apostle Etrue, along with the other apostles present, led the congregation in praying for God’s grace upon Apostle Obuobi and his family as they embark on their journey to serve as the Chief Scribe of The Church of Pentecost at the Church’s Headquarters for the next five years.

Notable figures at the event included Nana Martey Wayo, Chief of Osenho; and Barima Baffour Opoku Agyemang II, Chief of Dokrochiwa. The Asamankese Area pastorate and their spouses, as well as representatives from the Asamankese chapter of the Ghana Pentecostal Charismatic Council (GPCC) and Local Council of Churches (LCC) of Akroso and Asamankese, were also in attendance.

Jesus Is The Only Hope For Dead Situations – Apostle Dr. Markin Declares

Apostle Dr. Amos Jimmy Markin, the Director of the Evangelism Ministry of The Church Of Pentecost, declared that Jesus is the only hope for dead situations.

Speaking on the sermon titled: “Lazarus Shall Rise Again,” on Friday, August 25, 2023, at the recently held “Greater Kumasi For Christ” Crusade at the forecourt of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, Apostle Dr. Amos Jimmy Markin noted that when all hope is lost, it is only Jesus that can revive situations.

Drawing inspiration from John 11:1-5 and 20-26, he unveiled the timeless message of hope and restoration embedded within the narrative of Lazarus.

With profound insights, the Evangelism Ministry Director delved into the intricate story of Mary, Martha, and Lazarus—intimate friends of Jesus—who faced the heart-wrenching reality of Lazarus’ passing.

He poignantly revealed, “They raised Lazarus for their future survival; he was their puppet, their hope for the future.” This narrative served as a touching reminder of how the adversary’s strategies often plunge people into darkness and despair, employing tactics of destruction, theft, and death.

Apostle Markin deftly paralleled the challenges of Mary and Martha to contemporary spiritual battles.

He compassionately noted how the devil subtly ensnares individuals, leading them away from their spiritual vigour and purpose.

However, he emphatically reassured the congregation, “With Jesus, your ‘Lazarus’ will rise again!”

“In the midst of their profound distress, Jesus intervened in the lives of Mary and Martha,” he added.

Apostle Markin beautifully highlighted, “Jesus comes in when all your hope is gone, when every joy is shut. Though the devil seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, Jesus comes to offer life—abundant and overflowing.”

Reflecting on John 11:14, Apostle Markin showcased the moment when Jesus declared, “Your brother, no matter how decomposed he is, will rise again!”

This proclamation resounded with the message that Christ has the power to infuse hope and restoration into the most seemingly hopeless situations.

Apostle Markin shared the two reasons behind Jesus’ tears in this poignant story.

“First, He wept because of His boundless love for every individual, regardless of their background or actions,” he expounded.

“Second, His tears revealed His observation that people struggled to believe.”

Drawing a powerful analogy, he urged listeners to remove the metaphorical stones of doubt, unbelief, and self-righteousness that hinder their spiritual growth.

Prayer Is The Indispensable Tool For Restoring God’s Blessings WEB

Prayer Is The Indispensable Tool For Restoring God’s Blessings – Elder Tobbin Asserts

Elder Dr. Samuel Amo Tobbin of the Dr. Thomas Wyatt Assembly of The Church Of Pentecost has asserted that prayer is the indispensable tool for restoring God’s blessings on Christians.

He made this assertion today at the Pentecost International Worship Centre, Asokwa during the morning session of Day 2 of the “Greater Kumasi For Christ” Crusade.

With Genesis 1:27-28 as a biblical foundation, Elder Tobbin illuminated the omnipresent blessings bestowed upon humanity by God.

In his sermon, Elder Tobbin emphasised that the absence of visible wonders does not equate to the absence of God’s blessings.

Drawing a parallel to the intangible yet undeniable components of human existence—the spirit and soul—he revealed that blessings from God are steadfast companions throughout life’s journey.

“Blessings from God are noy always outwardly manifest, but they journey with us, unseen yet powerful,” he affirmed.

Drawing insights from Romans 3:23 and John 11:41-43, Elder Tobbin, who is also the Chairman of the Tobbinco Group of Companies, delved into the spiritual implications of sin.

He stated that when humanity succumbed to sin, the once-flourishing blessings were withdrawn. However, through embracing Christ, one is redeemed from curses and liberated from the shackles of sin.

“Embracing Christ ushers in a transformative freedom, liberating you from the chains of curses,” he charged.

“As a Christian, accepting Jesus Christ into your life propels you into a realm of freedom,” Elder Tobbin noted.

Reflecting on John 11:41-42, Elder Tobbin marveled at Jesus’ power to summon Lazarus from the spirit realm into the physical.

“Restoration is not confined to mere retrieval; it involves breathing life into the lifeless. Prayer is the conduit to revitalize the dormant,” he expounded.

Elder Tobbin stressed that prayer transcends mere request—it is a proclamation.

Drawing from the biblical truth that life and death reside in the power of the tongue, he encouraged believers to speak life into their circumstances.

“Prayer becomes an indispensable tool in the journey of restoring blessings,” he affirmed.

Only Jesus Christ Is Accredited To Free You From Bondage – Apostle Dzemekey

Apostle Peter Kofi Dzemekey, the Asokwa Area Head of The Church Of Pentecost, has emphatically proclaimed that exclusive authority rests with Jesus Christ to bring life to even the most lifeless situations.

“The Word of God possesses the profound ability to disentangle you from the clutches of death and its snares. It possesses the power to shatter every chain!” declared Apostle Dzemekey.

These powerful assertions were made during the evening session of Day 3 at the ‘Greater Kumasi For Christ’ Crusade, currently ongoing at the Heroes Park, located at the forecourt of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Drawing from the scripture in John 11:27-43, Apostle Dzemekey expounded that when Jesus addressed the lifeless body of Lazarus, his words held the power to evoke life, leading to Lazarus’s miraculous resurrection.

Highlighting the story of Martha and Lazarus, Apostle Dzemekey illuminated how Martha perceived Jesus’ arrival as belated. However, he clarified that this apparent delay was orchestrated for the optimal moment of Lazarus’s salvation.

“God sometimes deliberately postpones our circumstances to ensure that we emerge with the maximum impact,” he stated.

Continuing, he stressed Martha’s inability to comprehend Jesus’ actions. Yet, Jesus assured her of Lazarus’s restoration.

“Jesus’ command for the stone to be rolled away was founded on His exclusive authority over that stone. Neither spirit nor human can roll away the stones binding our lives. Only one Man is endowed with the accreditation to liberate you,” Apostle Dzemekey affirmed.

As he concluded, Apostle Dzemekey emphasised the enduring significance of the name of Jesus.

“Though countless great names have faded into history, the name of Jesus remains eternal. Jesus is unceasing, unretired, and immutable—unchanged yesterday, today, and forever,” he said.

Unite For The Cause Of The Lord–MrsGeorgina Manu Advises Christians

Mrs Georgina Manu, the wife of the Pentecost Students and Associates (PENSA) Travelling Secretary for Mampong Sector, has called on Christians to unite for the cause of the Lord.

She made the call recently when preaching at Akenten Appiah Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED)Asante Mampong Campus on the theme: “Unity is Strength” at the handover service of the Pentecost Students and Associates (PENSA).

She stressed the need for the newly called executives to come together and advance the cause of the work of the Lord.

She said marriage vows can unite people for one cause. She said blood is thicker than water; hence, it binds family members together. Therefore, the blood of Jesus has bonded all Christians together.

Mrs Manu charged Christians to put aside every form of language, class, and tribe when they come together because the blood of Jesus binds them together.

Using Acts 2:1-4 and Psalm 133: 1-4 as scripture references, she emphasised the need for Christians to eschew pride, status and class but rather work together for a common goal in preparing the saints for Heaven.

She said the disciples of Jesus united with one goal: waiting for the promised Holy Spirit; hence, God poured out the Holy Spirit unto them.

“The disciples had their breakthrough because they were together,” she pointed out.

She concluded her message by saying that Jesus Christ was humble to the extent that he washed his disciples’ feet, saying, “Loving one another is the key to unity.”

Elder Mysteriously Saved From Drowning Into Mining Pit web

Elder Mysteriously Saved From Drowning Into Mining Pit

Elder Ernest Nyarko of the Bantama Extension District in the Kwadaso Area of The Church of Pentecost was mysteriously saved from drowning in a 2-mile-wide mining pit.

This happened when Elder Nyarko, a worker of Asanko Gold Mines at Manso Nkran, was to draw water from the pit for service last Sunday using a dump truck and service truck with his superior, an expatriate. He went for the first round, and during the second round, he realised that the intake could not carry the water well because it was draining the sand out. He had to descend to push the intake forward while holding the truck’s handle. Suddenly, he slipped, began drowning, and was carried away by the water.

He called out to his superior and other workers for assistance, but they could not help because of how risky the situation was. For about a minute, he went blank; he shouted and began speaking in tongues, followed by a spirited worship song. A while later, he lifted his hands to give up. Instantly, his feet landed on sticks in the moving water, which amazingly began to raise him and pull him back.

Gradually, he got out of the pit. Interestingly, after a thorough search, even breaking down the pit, the mysterious stick that saved his life could not be found.

This indeed testifies to the saving power of God even on the verge of death.

Moses The Handsome Boy web

Moses: The Handsome Boy

Undeniably, beauty and handsomeness wield considerable influence, evoking both affection and antipathy. When beauty is managed with tact and preserved judiciously, it can bestow numerous rewards, impacting interactions with others. The adage “use what you have to gain what you want” has become a common refrain among young individuals, particularly among women. It suggests that if one possesses physical allure, it should be harnessed to attain prosperity. Regrettably, this sentiment is often misconstrued as an endorsement of unsavoury activities like prostitution.

Yet, beneath every appearance of beauty lies a concealed purpose, bestowed by God, with the intention of glorifying Him, enhancing a nation, enriching a family, or elevating an individual. It is crucial to differentiate this divine purpose from indulgence in fornication or other societal transgressions. Beauty is accompanied by a unique favour, extended selectively and not universally. It serves as an opportunity to demonstrate the latent qualities and purposes that can eventually render one deserving of such distinctive favour.

In each person’s life, there comes a stage where their appearance grants them privileges and openings that ameliorate or resolve situations. For some, beauty rescues them during infancy, while for others, it occurs during adolescence, youth, or even old age. However, it’s important to acknowledge that everyone possesses their own brand of beauty, with some radiating an exceptionally captivating aura. Yet, the most potent adversary of beauty is arrogance and pride, attributes that must be discarded without hesitation.

The Holy Bible narrates the tale of Moses, who, from the moment he entered the world, captivated every gaze with his handsomeness. His own mother risked her life to defy the decree of King Pharaoh, who had commanded the death of all male Jewish infants. The king’s own daughter was so struck by Moses’ charm that she, too, defied her father’s order. Thus, Moses found himself in the palace, where the king resided. In a remarkable twist, the king himself couldn’t enforce his own decree upon seeing Moses, allowing him to become the sole Jewish boy spared at that time (Exodus 2). This infantile escape from death on account of his attractiveness allowed Moses to be raised under the enemy’s roof without competition, destined to liberate the Israelites from captivity in the future. This serves as a compelling testament that human decisions cannot thwart God’s plans and purposes, so long as the chosen vessel remains obedient to the Creator.

As Moses reappeared in the palace as a grown man, his mission was to rescue the Israelites from captivity. However, the magnetic appeal of his appearance held no sway this time. The youthful and vigorous Absalom, adorned with remarkable handsomeness, was poised to ascend his father King David’s throne. Yet, his haughty demeanour and pride precipitated his downfall, tragically ending his life before the throne could be his. This leads me to contend strongly that a purpose underlies every manifestation of beauty, one that must not be hijacked by prostitution, theft, or other societal ills.

Repentance & Holiness In God Brings Restoration web

Repentance & Holiness In God Brings Restoration – Apostle Adjei-Kwarteng

Apostle Yaw Adjei-Kwarteng, the Coordinator of the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Committee (ARCC) and an Executive Council Member of The Church of Pentecost, has emphasised that genuine repentance and holiness in God lead to spiritual restoration.

Addressing a gathering of believers today at the Pentecost International Worship Centre, Asokwa, in Kumasi, during the morning session of the ongoing ‘Greater Kumasi For Christ’ Crusade, Apostle Adjei-Kwarteng, also the Bomapata Area Head of The Church, stated that Christians can mimic Christ’s character through repentance and holiness.

Speaking on the topic: “The Restoration of The Character of Christ: A Call To Repentance And Holiness,” with scripture references from 1 Peter 15:16 and 2 Chronicles 7:13-18, the Bompata Area Head said that restoration signifies God’s intervention in aiding His people.

Quoting Numbers 6:26-27, he noted the profound impact of God’s illuminating presence, which is akin to His face shining upon individuals.

He drew a parallel between the hiding of God’s glory due to human sin and the subsequent closure of the heavens, leading to spiritual famine and adversity.

Apostle Adjei-Kwarteng further explained that the withdrawal of God’s favor comes before restoration, stating that, “This withdrawal serves as a precursor to a time of famine, plague, and hunger—a period when nothing appears to flourish in one’s life.”

Using the analogy of sunshine and photosynthesis, he conveyed that just as sunlight is necessary for life on earth, God’s favour is essential for spiritual vitality.

The ARCC Coordinator also underscored the significance of the Church’s return to the path of righteousness and godliness.

According to him, genuine adoration of God and His blessings requires a transformation within the Church society.

“Restoration takes place when the Church re-embraces the ways of righteousness, thus drawing closer to God’s intended purpose,” he remarked.

The Bompata Area Head also elaborated on the dual nature of repentance—both a one-time renewal of the mind and an ongoing process.

He referenced 1 John 1:8-10, emphasizing that the presence of godliness is crucial for restoration within the Church.

“Mimicking God’s character is principal; it aligns us with His divine attributes,” he asserted.

Exploring the concept of holiness, Apostle Kwarteng used James 1:13-16 as a basis to explain God’s absolute purity and separation from evil.

“God does not look at any standard to determine his Holiness. He is the standard!,” he reiterated.
