The New Combine District Women’s Ministry of The Church of Pentecost in the Agormanya Area has organised a day’s health seminar on National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) card usage and sponsored health insurance renewal for women in the New Combine community near Akosombo, including Muslims whose NHIS cards had expired.
The exercise was to address and invest in some of the health issues concerning women in the New Combine community.
The ministry invited officials from the National Health Insurance Authority to educate the people on the appropriate usage of the NHIS card to enjoy its full benefits.
At the end of the exercise, the church sponsored the renewal of expired NHIS cards for 70 women, both members and non-members.
Through the exercise, two women gave their lives to Jesus Christ.
