The Berekum Area of The Church of Pentecost has organised a two-day seminar for pastors, presiding elders, and church workers in church planting.

The seminar dubbed ‘Church Planting in a Glorious Church’ took place at the James McKeown Temple (JMT), Berekum.

Addressing the 128 participants, the Area Head, Apostle Samuel Berko, explained that the seminar was about translating their soul-winning and discipleship drive into church planting. He explained that the seminar was intended to equip church workers with the requisite skill and practical ways of integrating the souls won into the church.

He stated: “If the souls we win are really discipled, then it must lead to church expansion and planting of churches.”

Apostle Berko indicated that church leaders must plant churches because it is the Lord’s commission; the early church expanded through church planting, and that history reveals that The Church of Pentecost has come this far through intentional church planting in the nations across the world.

According to him, since newly planted churches are fresh, they are hungry for growth and can release people into effective ministry.

Participants discussed the way forward in implementing the new vision in their jurisdictions. This is expected to yield great dividends by winning more souls to expand the kingdom business.
