Salman District Inaugurated, Mission House Dedicated

The newly-created Salman District in the Axim Area of The Church of Pentecost has been inaugurated. The official residence of the district minister has also been dedicated to the glory of God.

The inaugural ceremony, which took place on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, was also used to welcome the first minister of the district, Probationary Overseer George Amankwah, and his family.

Delivering the sermon on the topic, “You have not been to this way before, therefore let the Ark of God lead you,” based on Joshua 3:1-4, the Gwira Banso District Minister, Pastor Moses Ohipeni Nartey, advised the congregants to be obedient to the leadings of the Lord.

“As humans, we cannot see the end from the beginning, however, God can. Therefore, we have to be attentive to the voice of the Lord and His leadings if we want to excel in our lives and ministry,” he said.

He, therefore, encouraged the members to endeavour to hear and obey the voice of the Lord so that they can possess the nations for Christ.

The Axim Area Head, Apostle Philip Osei-Korsah, and his wife, Mrs. Hannah Osei-Korsah, also used the opportunity to donate a brand new Royal Motorcycle worth GH¢4,600.00 to the new district to facilitate the work of God in the district.

Present at the ceremony were the Chief of Salman Community, Nana Kwamina Bentum II, and the pastorate and their wives in the Axim area.

Report by Overseer Daniel Atuah.
