Samuel Nartey George, Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, has warned that the wrath of God will fall on anyone who tries to take away the peace of Ghana.

He cautioned politicians against any actions that could disrupt the peace Ghana is currently enjoying, asserting that they will not succeed.

In an interview with Pentecost News at the sidelines of the Greater Accra Unleashed Crusade, organised by The Church of Pentecost at the Black Star Square in Accra on Thursday night, the MP assured Ghanaians that the peace of the Lord Jesus will continue to reign supreme in the country.

He said: ‘No man, whichever political party, will take away the peace that God has given this country and think that they can lead.’

Hon. Sam George acknowledged that the forthcoming election is a very critical one with high stakes, as it involves a former President and a sitting Vice President vying for the presidency, which is likely to heighten tensions in the country. However, he stated, “But with the church stepping in this way and reminding us that before politics, we are Ghanaians, the peace of the land will be safeguarded.’

The Ningo-Prampram MP urged young people not to allow themselves to be used by politicians as agents of violence.

‘To politicians, the wrath of God will fall on anyone who tries to take away the peace of this country,’ he said, adding, ‘And to the people of Ghana as a whole, we are a Christian nation, a nation loved by God, and as people of God, we must act according to His will and purposes because it is God who crowns and enthrones kings.’

He called on all Ghanaians to do their part to maintain the peace of the country, saying, ‘We must know that we are all ultimately accountable to the Most High God.’
