The Ayigya District of The Church of Pentecost has donated 70 wooden desks valued at GH₵16,600.00 to the Ayigya M/A Junior High School as part of activities marking the 2026 National Pentecost Men’s Ministry (PEMEM) Week Celebration.

The presentation took place on Monday, June 22, 2026, and was made on behalf of the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr. Eric Kwabena Nyamekye, the Executive Council, the National PEMEM Directorate, the Bompata Area Head, Apostle Victor Asamoah, the District PEMEM, and the entire church membership.

The donation was led by the Ayigya District Minister, Pastor Mark Opoku Ababio, and his wife, Mrs. Bridget Opoku Ababio.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Pastor Ababio reiterated the church’s commitment to community transformation through its “Possessing the Nations” agenda. He explained that The Church of Pentecost places great importance on impacting society beyond the walls of the church through practical acts of service and development initiatives.

According to him, the donation was in response to a request made by the school during a previous engagement with the church. He noted that since the school is located within the church’s immediate community, addressing its needs remains a priority.

Pastor Ababio further stated that the ultimate goal of the church’s interventions is to demonstrate the love of Christ and create opportunities for people to encounter the gospel. He emphasised that believers are called to be ambassadors of Christ by contributing positively to the well-being of their communities.

Receiving the items on behalf of the school, the Oforikrom District Education Director, Mrs. Dorothy Opare-Baidoo, expressed gratitude to the church for the timely support. She described the donation as a significant relief that would help improve the learning environment and commended The Church of Pentecost for its continuous contribution to educational development.

The Headteacher of Ayigya M/A JHS, Mr. Eric Amankwah, also thanked the church for the intervention. He explained that inadequate desks had remained a major challenge since he assumed office in 2024 and noted that the donation would greatly enhance teaching and learning.

While expressing their appreciation, both school authorities appealed for additional support in areas such as teachers’ chairs, teaching aids, and other educational resources.

The gesture reflects The Church of Pentecost’s ongoing commitment to supporting education and promoting sustainable community development through impactful social interventions.
