The ‘Operation One Officer, One Ministerial Handbook’ distribution exercise meant to dole out free copies of the Ministerial Handbook to all ordained officers of The Church of Pentecost has been launched in the Koforidua Area.
The launch was performed by the General of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi, on behalf of the Chairman at the Central Tabernacle in Koforidua on Friday, February 15, 2019.
The event, which climaxed the 4-day Officers’ Retreat and Apostolisation, was jointly attended by officers in both Koforidua and Koforidua Effiduase Areas.
Present were the Koforidua Area Head and Executive Council Member, Apostle Samuel Osei Asante, the Bawku Area Head, Pastor Eric Gyambibi Boateng, the former National Head of the Church in Nigeria, Apostle Fening Obiri Yeboah, and Mrs. Rose Dansoa Kumi-Larbi (wife of the General Secretary), among others.
Apostle Kumi-Larbi had earlier on launched the exercise at the Effiduase and Begoro zones of the Koforidua Effiduase Area.
The leadership of the Church has printed about 200,000 copies of the Ministerial Handbook meant to be distributed to all ordained officers and other leaders of the Church across the world. The book will also be printed in eight major Ghanaian languages to help those who are not conversant with the English language.
Currently, there are over 110,000 officers in the Church globally, consisting of 35,334 elders, 25,427 deacons, 47,517 deaconesses, and 2,429 leaders.
Addressing the officers at the launch, the General Secretary charged them to endeavour to read the Ministerial Handbook which contains the policies and practices of the Church and ensure that they operate by the guidelines in the book.
He took time to walk them through the various sections of the book as well as the Vision 2023 document and its implementation schedules.
He pointed out that the new vision demands that officers adopt new ways of doing things instead of following the status quo.
He posited that policies have helped in sustaining The Church of Pentecost, making it a very organised, disciplined and solid church. “Policies have undoubtedly assisted in keeping the church in shape and to achieve the visions of our forerunners,” he stressed.
