Be True Servants

Be True Servants of The Lord – Apostle Ofei Ankra-Badu Tells Women

The Tema Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Emmanuel Ofei Ankra-Badu, has charged Christian women to strive to become true servants of God.

Speaking at the September edition of Shiloh Prayers of the Area Women’s Ministry (Prampram Zone) held at the Galilee Prayer Centre in Great Ningo District on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, on the topic: “Relating Well with God” based on 1 Samuel 1:1-11, Genesis 3 and Isaiah 54:13-17, Apostle Ankra-Badu narrated the situation in which Hannah found herself as a barren woman while her rival Peninah was being blessed with many children.

According to him, Hannah nursed bitterness against her husband and her rival which initially hampered her prayer life.

“But when she [Hannah] decided to draw closer to God during an annual worship service at Shiloh, she poured her heart out to God in prayer and that drew God closer,” he said, adding, “When you draw closer to God, you hear His voice and when you relate rightly with God, all the other things move on smoothly.”

The Area Head led the over 500 participants to carefully examine Hannah’s character towards God with regards to the afflictions she went through and explained how connected mankind was to God until the fall of man.

He advised women to be obedient to God’s command by submitting to their husbands no matter the circumstances, stressing that it is the Lord alone who is capable of transforming them into good husbands, and through that, all blockades in their prayers will be removed.

“Hannah laughed at long last because God answered her prayers, not only with Samuel but additional five other children,” he stated.

Concluding his message, Apostle Emmanuel Ofei Ankra-Badu stated that if Christian women are in good relationship with God, the Lord will surely bless their children.

“When we are in good relationship with the Lord, He will fight all our battles for us, and no weapon formed against us shall prosper because we are true servants of God,” he said.

In attendance at the programme were Pastors Peter Mensah Awitor (Prampram District), Essel Kofi Annor (Dawhenya District), Percy Opoku Ahwenee Dankwah (Tsopoli District), Isaac Amofa Yeboah (Goi District) and William Boachie-Ansah (Great Ningo District), as well as the Area and Zonal leadership of the Women’s Ministry headed by Deaconess Charity Kuwornu, the Area Women’s Ministry Leader.

Effiduase Area Women’s Ministry Honours Past Leaders

A special service has been held by the Effiduase Area Women’s Ministry of The Church of Pentecost to appreciate the immediate past Area Executive Committee Members of the ministry.

The service, which took place at Ebenezer Assembly, Effiduase on Tuesday, May 25, drew women from all the 15 districts of the Area.

The former women leaders were Deaconesses Elizabeth Adoboah (Area Leader), Martha Adobea (Assistant Area Leader), Christiana Obenewaah (Area Secretary), Grace Mbir (Treasurer) and Cecilia Aboagye (Financial Secretary). The rest were Mrs. Dora Oppong Kyeremah (Pastors’ Wives Representative), and Deaconess Contance Ofosua – Co-opted member.

In his exhortation titled, “Be Sure To Complete The Work You Received From The Lord,” the Area Head, Apostle Daniel Yeboah Nsaful, admonished Christians not to avoid God’s calling and work, but rather accept it wholeheartedly and do it well.

Quoting Philippians 1:2; Colossians 4:17 and Matthew 25:14-23, Apostle Nsaful said that the reason why some Christians abandon God’s work is that they grow weary, become fed-up, go after things of the world, or simply allow the work to slip through their hands.

On how to complete God’s work well, the Effiduase Area Head said: “You need to be diligent, steadfast and immovable.”

Concluding his exhortation, Apostle Daniel Yeboah Nsaful paid glowing tribute to the past leaders for laying a good foundation as pioneers of the Area Women’s Ministry and asked for God’s blessings upon them.

In a testimony, the current Area Women’s Leader, Deaconess Christiana Obenewaa, said that her predecessors achieved a lot for the newly created Effiduase Area. Notable among their achievements, she said, was the construction and furnishing of an ultra-modern kitchen at the Area Mission House.

She also praised them for the many talk shows they organised for the women in the Area, their visits to the various districts, and their collaboration with PEMEM and other ministries of the church, among others.

Citations and an unspecified amount of money were presented to the outgone executives for their services to the church.

In attendance was the wife of the Area Head, Mrs. Mary Nsaful; the Area pastorate, family members of the outgone executives, among others.

She said that the visit was in line with the church’s “Possessing the Nations” agenda and is also in fulfilment of the aforementioned scripture.

Savings, A Necessary Tool To Wealth Creation – Deaconess Belinda Beatrice Asare

The La Area Virtuous Ladies Coordinator of The Church of Pentecost, Deaconess Belinda Beatrice Asamoah Asare, has charged Christian ladies to intentionally and consciously save and invest to secure their future in this changing world.

She made the call during the La Area Virtuous Ladies meeting held at Dr. Thomas Wyatt Temple, on Saturday, April 24, 2021, on the theme: “The Virtuous Lady in a Changing World – A study on Financial and Wealth Creation.”

In her presentation, and with scriptural references to Matthew 6:33; and Jeremiah 9:12-15; Deaconess Belinda Beatrice Asamoah Asare said that for women to succeed in their financial and wealth creation, they must be prepared to follow certain principles, first of which is to put God first in all that they do, by daily communing with Him.

Reading from Proverbs Chapter 31, she underscored the need for ladies to consciously save, invest, and be financially independent to secure their future in times of crises. Like the virtuous woman in the Bible, virtuous ladies must be hardworking, reliable, problem solvers, result-oriented, and achievers, she added.

Deaconess Belinda Beatrice Asare noted that savings is the basic root of wealth creation. According to her, at least 10 to 20 percent of one’s total monthly income must be saved for future purposes.

“The current state of the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic is a sign of unpredictable future occurrences, and that calls for proper planning,” she indicated.

She advised women to stop impulse buying, and learn to say “No,” to external pressures and extended families, saying, “Have a budget for yourself and your family.”

She further admonished them to invest in themselves. “Seek knowledge; empower yourself in education, trade, and or apprenticeship programmes to help sustain you in future,” she said.

In attendance were the La Area Head and his wife, Apostle John and Mrs. Mary Osei Amaniampong; the Area Women’s Ministry Executives led by Deaconess Georgina Zekpa, and some wives of ministers in the Area.
