The TOBINCO Group has commissioned an ultramodern quality assurance block at Spintex, Accra.

The facility, which was dedicated by the La Area Head and Executive Council Member of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr Dieudonne Komla Nuekpe, on August 28, 2023, attracted dignitaries such as the Chairman of the TOBINCO Group of companies, Elder Dr Nana Amo Tobin I; Apostle Dr Col. B. G. Kumi Wood, Mrs Juanita Nuekpe (wife of the La Area Head), Pastor Emmanuel Yirebi and a cross-section of La Area Pastorate and their wives.

In an interview, the Managing Director of EPRC, Mr Asare Twerefuor, noted that the new laboratory facility is meant for quality assurance, quality control and product development.

According to him, quality assurance ensures that products brought into the factory meet the specifications or standards and monitors the process to ensure that work is done according to procedures. He added that quality control does the analysis by testing products to ensure that they meet the parameters set by the international market before they are released into the market.

Mr Twerefuor further indicated the main divisions within the facility are the word chemistry, instrumentation room and microbiology. Unlike formally, where the company imports products from India, now, they manufacture about 95% of their products. 

Speaking at the event on the topic, “Excelling in it for maximum impact,” Apostle Dr Dieudonne Nuekpe noted that just as the centurion valued and respected his slave servant and had to seek assistance from Jesus, individuals should also place value on humanity above anything else and care for them.

He added that the centurion was a well-known and celebrated man in the town due to his patriotic nature. He loved his country and did many good things for them, which earned him respect and honour in his nation. 

“The value Elder Dr Nana Amo Tobin places on humanity is the reason why he is putting up a lot of companies to help people,” he stressed. 

He, therefore, called on participants to love, value and care for humanity, which is the only sure way to impact society, nation and the world at large.

Twenty-two-year-old Kwaku Boakye Gyamfi, a member of the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Odorkor, etched his name in history last Thursday as he graduated from the School of Medical Sciences at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) as the youngest medical doctor in Ghana.

Dr. Kwaku Boakye Gyamfi’s academic journey began in 2006 when he commenced his primary education at Danem Royal Montessori School at the tender age of five. Subsequently, he transitioned to Good Shepherd International School, followed by Oregon International School, and eventually Startrite Montessori School, all located in Accra. In 2014, at the age of thirteen, he completed his basic education with an impressive aggregate of 06.

In the same year, 2014, he secured admission to Prempeh College Senior High School to further his secondary education. Remarkably, he finished his secondary education in 2017 at the age of 16, achieving an aggregate of 07.

Upon successfully passing through a rigorous interview process, he earned admission to the UCC School of Medical Sciences later in 2017, still at the age of 16.

Kwaku’s arduous six-year medical educational journey culminated on September 7, 2023, as he graduated from the UCC School of Medical Sciences at the age of 22.

Dr. Kwaku Boakye Gyamfi was born in April 2001 to Dr. & Mrs. Gyamfi, devout members of The Church of Pentecost, currently fellowship at PIWC-Odorkor. He is the second child and the only son among four siblings, all of whom are girls. His father is a Business and Financial Advisor, while his mother is a Caterer and a businesswoman. Both parents hail from Sekyere Central in the Ashanti Region but reside in Accra, along with their four children.

PENTECOST NEWS.

The New Tafo Area of The Church of Pentecost, under the headship of Prophet Samuel Tetteh Doku, on Monday, September 11, 2023, began this year’s Lay Leadership Training School in earnest for all officers in the Area.

Being held simultaneously at the zonal level, the 5-day event, which will end on Friday, September 15, 2023, is being attended only in the evening.

Both English and Twi classes are being held, with plenary sessions to seek clarifications on thought-provoking issues and questions.

Topics being treated in this year’s school are “The Church Leader’s Marriage and Family Life,” “The CoP Distinctive Brand,” and “The Repositioned Local Assembly of The Church of Pentecost.”

The Lay Leadership Training School is an annual programme designed to equip the officers in the Church with the requisite knowledge, basic skills, insights, and principles to enable them to shepherd the flocks that have been entrusted to their care.

The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, today paid a visit to the family of the late Elder Dr. Johnson Addo, a member of the Board of Trustees of The Church of Pentecost, following his sudden demise.

Elder Dr. Johnson, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Raphal Medical Centre, passed on to glory on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Accra, after battling with a short illness.

Accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Mary Nyamekye, the immediate-past General Secretary of the Church, Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi Larbi (now Ashaiman Area Head), and Apostle Emmanuel Ofei Ankra-Badu (Tema Area Head), the Chairman visited the bereaved family to sympathise with them for the great loss.

During the visit, the Chairman offered words of encouragement to the bereaved family and urged them to be strong in faith during this difficult period. He encouraged them to take solace in the fact that the late Elder diligently served God’s purpose in his generation.

“Elder Dr. Johnson Addo was a good man who spent his time on earth serving God, The Church of Pentecost, and humanity; and his good deeds on earth will forever follow him,” he said.

The Chairman further stated that, although his demise is a very painful one, Elder Dr. Johnson has been called to be with his Father in heaven and to rest from his earthly labour.

Apostle Eric Nyamekye also signed a book of condolence opened for the departed Elder.

The Church delegation also included Pastor Samuel K. Koomson (PIWC-Tema Resident Minister) and a cross-section of ministers and members in the Tema Area.

The La Area of The Church of Pentecost, headed by Apostle Dr Dieudonne Komla Nuekpe, an Executive Council Member of the Church, has renovated a 6-unit classroom block for the Forces Senior High Technical School (FSHTS) at Burma Camp in Accra.

Apostle Dr Nuekpe, on August 17, 2023, handed over the renovated classroom block to the authorities of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF). Present were Apostle Dr Colonel Benjamin Kumi-Woode (Coordinator of GAF Chaplains), Pastor Thomas Anane (La Area Estate Chairman), Mrs Juanita Toffa Nuekpe (La Area Head’s wife) and the Area pastorate and wives.The gesture was aimed at cementing the existing cordial relationship between The Church of Pentecost and the Ghana Armed Forces. 

The scope of the work covered block laying to raise the building, painting, re-roofing, provision of fans, creating a new drainage system, electrical installation, and replacing old doors and windows.

The project began in August 2022 and was executed by Zap Plus Company Limited, a construction firm, under the supervision of the GAF.
