7 Healed Of Hearing Impairment

Seven members of the Mamprobi Zone in the Dansoman Area of The Church of Pentecost were miraculously healed of their hearing impairment during the recently-held Easter Convention at the Salvation Army Park, Mamprobi.

The seven people, four of whom were challenged from birth, are Alfred Aryee Tettey, Esther Boafo, Delali Kpodo, Vida Sorgah, Eunice Danquah, and Richard Tagoe.

The spectacular incident took place on Saturday morning, April 8, 2023, to the glee of the members from the nine districts of the zone, namely, Chemunaa, Glefe, Mpoase, Gbegbeyise, New Mamprobi, Mamprobi, James Mckeown Worship Centre (JMWC), Lartebiorkorshie, and Bethel, present at the event.

Among them were Apostle Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo, the National Coordinator for the Home and Urban Mission (HUM) and his wife, Mrs. Agyei Kwafo, as well as Mrs. Priscilla Hagan, the wife of the Youth Ministry Director.

Mrs. Rebecca Adwoa Sey, the wife of the Area Head, Dansoman Area, delivered a sermon at the event on the topic: “The Power of Dominance,” using a series of biblical illustrations.

Reading from Genesis 1:26 and Psalm 8:6, she hinted that God has a kingdom in Heaven and created man in his image and likeness to rule over the earth and become fruitful, multiply, subdue, and have dominion.

She explained that man’s disobedience to God denied him access to the authority earlier given to him. However, in the fullness of time, Christ came to earth in the form of man, died, and arose to give back the authority and power that was taken from him by the devil.

Mrs. Adwoa Sey added that Christ had to carry the cross to set humanity free, and without Christ Jesus, they do not have access to the power of dominance.

Pastor Vincent Tawiah Donkor, the Gbegbeyise District Minister, led the Church to pray for the youth for job opportunities, the unmarried to receive the grace to marry, and for persons with disabilities.

During the prayer, the seven deaf people received healing from hearing impairment.

“I Can’t Stop Walking” – Woman Miraculously Healed Of Stroke

Madam Agnes Agyemang, a 55-year-old resident of Trado, a suburb community in the Akuajoo District within the Kwahu Traditional Area, has received instant healing from stroke syndrome.

Affectionately called “Auntie Akosua,” Madam Agyemang had been suffering from stroke for the past year, during which she went into a coma for a couple of months.

During a house-to-house evangelism exercise last Saturday as part of the Kwahu Easter outreach, a team from the Evangelism Ministry of The Church of Pentecost encountered Auntie Akosua. At that time, she could not stand on her feet, having been unable to walk for two months since coming out of the coma. Her daughter, who was by her side at the time, showed the team drugs and hospital documents as evidence.

After the team prayed for her, Auntie Akosua rose to her feet and began walking about.  “I can walk, and I don’t feel any pain,” she exclaimed.

The next day, when the team visited her, Auntie Akosua was still reveling in the miracle that had taken place.

“I have not been able to sleep. I have been walking throughout the night because it has been many months since I walked,” she said.

To God be the glory!

Apostle & Wife Miraculously Saved From Stray Bullet

The Anyaa-Ablekuma Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle William Ohemeng-Kwakye, and his wife, Comfort, were miraculously saved from a stray bullet that made its way into the Area Mission House.

The spectacular incident happened on Sunday, January 15, 2023, few moments after Apostle Ohemeng-Kwakye had returned home from a series of Church meetings.

Speaking to PENTECOST NEWS, the Area Head said that, while on his way home, he heard a voice whisper to him the statement: “No weapon formed against you shall stand.”

He, therefore, reached for his Bible and read the text as written in Isaiah 54:17: “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the LORD.”

According to him, he reflected over the scripture over and over until he got to the Mission House.

At home, Apostle Ohemeng-Kwakye and his wife retired to bed at about 11:00pm after praying with the family.

“While lying on the bed and studying from my iPad, I suddenly felt the urge to move from the bed to the other side of the room,” he recounted.

He instantly obliged and sat on a bedside desk to continue his study.

Soon afterwards, a stray bullet from an unknown source penetrated the roofing sheet into the master bedroom onto the bed – close to the place he was studying.

The loud blast which accompanied the bullet woke Mrs Ohemeng-Kwakye up from her sleep.

“She began screaming thinking that it was the iPad that had exploded. But by God’s grace, no one was harmed,” he said.

The issue was reported at the Anyaa District Police Command, and a team led by the District Commander visited the mission house to assess the situation.

In furtherance to that, a team of experts was sent from the Police Headquarters, Accra, to also examine the situation, but no scientific proof was established.

It was later detected that the bullet penetrated the roofing sheet and the POP ceiling before landing on the bed.

“What makes the whole situation complex is that the mission house is a two-storey building, but it is surrounded by single-storey buildings, so we do not know how one could have shot into the building from the top,” he said.

The security personnel expressed dismay at the whole situation and thanked God for the mighty deliverance.

I Want To Know Him More - Ex-Fraudster & Idolater Encounters Christ

“I Want To Know Him More” – Ex-Fraudster & Idolater Encounters Christ

Michael Elikplim engaged in many fraudulent activities and made a living out of scamming people for their hard-earned money.

As Eliplim got richer, he acquired houses, cars and other properties at luxurious locations and was enjoying the good life.

To secure his wealth and have his victims spellbound, he went to some spiritualists for charms to back his trade.

All seemed to be going well for Michael until one fateful day when his whole world came crushing down on him.

A close friend of his betrayed him and caused his arrest. As a result, he lost all he had acquired, albeit fraudulently.

After the dust settled on the situation, he headed to his hometown, Adaklu in the Volta Region of Ghana, to escape the shame, disgrace and misfortune that had befallen him.

But tried as he did, Michael was unable to move past his predicaments and thoughts of spiritual forces continued to taunt him.

On the March 9, 2023, two members of the Evangelism Ministry Advance Team, who had been stationed at the Adaklu District, paid him a visit as part of a house-to-house evangelism exercise.

Michael shared his story with them and they, in turn, told him about Jesus Christ and how He paid for the sin of all humanity.

Right after hearing the message, Michael made the decision to accept Christ into his life and insisted on being baptised by immersion.

“I feel like a big burden had been lifted off my shoulders,” he said afterwards.

Michael is very zealous about his new-found faith and now holds Bible studies at his residence.

His thirst for the things of the Lord keeps growing by the day.

When quizzed about his passion for study of the Bible, a rejuvenated Michael said: “I want to know Him (Jesus) more and more.”

The house-to-house evangelism exercise was part of activities organised by the Evangelism Ministry ahead of the upcoming “Ho for Christ” Crusade.

The crusade, which is under the theme: Jesus Came To Seek and Save (Luke 19:10), would be held at the Anglokordzi-Rabazey Children’s Park. It would be climaxed on Saturday, March 18, with a free medical outreach.

Man Accepts Christ, Surrenders Idols To Be Destroyed

Mr. Sampson Yaw Sewor George, a 48-year old traditionalist at Todome in the Volta Region of Ghana, has accepted Christ as his Lord and personal Saviour, and consequently surrendered his idols to be destroyed.

The spectacular event took place during a house-to-house evangelism exercise undertaken by members of the Evangelism Ministry Advance Team of The Church of Pentecost.

Sharing his story with PENTECOST NEWS, Mr Sewor said, for some time now, he had been on the lookout for more spiritual powers to add to what he had already inherited from his late father.

According to him, the main reason why he wanted to be more powerful was to enable him eliminate his ex-wife or her new husband or both.

However, after his engagement with the team, he voluntarily pulled a ring from his throat and handed over his deity to be destroyed.

He subsequently gave his life to Christ and has been baptised in water by immersion.

The house-to-house exercise was part of preliminary activities scheduled by the Evangelism Ministry ahead of the upcoming “Ho for Christ” Crusade.

The crusade, which is under the theme: Jesus Came To Seek and Save (Luke 19:10), would be held at the Anglokordzi-Rabazey Children’s Park from March 14 to 17, 2023.

Mr. Kwame Eleabo, a 55-year-old resident of Ziavi Dzogbe in the Volta Region of Ghana, has miraculously recovered from a mild stroke and speech impairment a day after surrendering his life to Christ.

Mr. Eleabo, who had been incapacitated for over a year, received Christ into his life when some members of the Evangelism Ministry Advance Team preached the gospel message of Jesus Christ to him and prayed for him during a house-to-house evangelism exercise.

The following morning, the team decided to pay him a visit and to engage him on his new-found faith in Christ.

When they got to his residence, to their utter surprise, they saw Mr. Eleabo cheerfully doing household chores without any sign of discomfort – completely different from the condition he was in a day before.

According to Mr Eleabo, after he accepted Christ and the team prayed for him, he still went to bed that evening unable to stand on his feet. However, when he woke up the next morning he realised that he had been healed and could now do the things he could not do before.

“This morning I walked to the barbershop all alone to trim my hair,” he said. He was therefore, grateful to God for His healing power and for coming to his aid when all hope was lost.

Couple Welcomes Set Of Twins After 14 Years Of Marriage

Couple Welcomes Set Of Twins After 14 Years Of Marriage

Members of the Foso Town District in the Assin Foso Area  of The Church of Pentecost were in a joyous mood as they witnessed the christening and dedication of a set of twins of

Elder Ebenezer Takyi Danquah and his wife, Esther, who had been childless after 14 years of marriage.

The well-patronised and colourful service took place at the Foso Town Assembly church auditorium on March 6, 2023.

Sharing their testimony at the event, the couple said they had resigned to their fate, having exhausted all medical alternatives, only for God to surprise them with the set of twins.

“We have endured taunting and name calling from people from all walks of life. Some saw us as a reproach, but we continued to trust the Lord for a miracle, ” Elder Takyi Danquah recounted.

Exhorting the gathering on the topic “Repositioning our Perception about Children to Maximise their Potentials,” the Assin Foso Area Head, Apostle Frederick Kwaku Andoh, said that often times parents see children as a burden and a nuisance.

Using the story of Moses in Exodus 2:1-10, he said the parents of Moses tried all their possible best to hide him in order not to face the same fate the other Jewish children in Egypt.

He explained that Moses’ mother went to this extreme length to save her son because she saw him as a special child.

“How we treat our children is highly dependent on our perception of them. We should understand that God sees all children as his treasures and heritage (Psalm 127:3) and so we must see them as such too.

“For this reason, be diligent in bringing them up your children  in the fear of God for them to attain their full potentials,” he charged.

The children were christened Ekow Nyametease and Ekow Nyamedome Takyi Danquah.

The programme had in attendance the Assin Foso Area pastorate and their wives as well as some past ministers of the Foso Town District and their spouses.

50-Year-Old Woman Miraculously Healed Of Lumbar Spondylosis

50-Year-Old Woman Miraculously Healed Of Lumbar Spondylosis

Madam Victoria Nhyira Adomako, 50, has been miraculously healed of a painful spine condition that she had been battling since childhood.

Madam Victoria shared her testimony on Thursday, February 23, 2023, during the monthly “Gethsemane” prayer meeting held at the El Bethel Prayer Centre, dubbed “The Supernatural Hand of God.”

Narrating her ordeal, Mrs Adomako, a professional teacher at Apedwa in the Abuakwa South Municipal in the Ashanti Region, said had been having waist pain since childhood, but it became very severe last year in March.

She, therefore, went to seek medical attention at the hospital and was made to run several tests.

Mrs. Adomako was later referred to the St. Joseph Orthopedic Centre, where she was diagnosed with Lumbar Spondylosis, a condition that affects the lower spine.

As a result, she was given a wristband to help her balance her movement and support in correcting her back pain, but it did little to bring her any relief.

One of her colleagues told her about the “Gethsemane” monthly prayer service at the El Bethel Prayer at Ho and how he was miraculously healed of his ailment.

“So, I decided to attend the February edition of the programme,” she said.

After the Wednesday morning session, she met Elder Emmanuel Avornyo and narrated her ordeal. Elder Avornyo prayed for her and told her to expect an angelic visitation.

During the evening session of prayer service, Mrs. Adomako felt a touch and a bit of relief, so she removed the waistband before going to bed.

“At dawn, in a dream, I saw angels of the Lord working my back pain; they told me I had been completely healed. At that instant, I began to blow in tongues. I woke up still speaking in tongues,” she recounted.

Madam Victoria said that she realised her pains were completely gone, and for the first time in a long while, she could bend over.

“So, I went out to join those sweeping the compound,” she said.

According to her, she has not worn the waistband ever since and does not feel the pain any longer. She was, therefore, grateful to God for the divine touch.

How God Saved Pastor & Wife From Fatal Accident And Removed Rotten Gauze From The Womb

How God Saved Pastor & Wife From Fatal Accident And Removed Rotten Gauze From The Womb

I am Pastor Jeremiah Atakpa, the Resident Minister of Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC-Aflao/French District) of The Church of Pentecost.

On November 24, 2022, my wife, Mrs Doriane Atakpa, underwent surgery (cesarean section) while delivering our third child. When I went to pick them up from the hospital after their discharge, we were involved in a fatal accident on the road. My steering wheel got locked, and I could not turn it, so I drove straight and hit a tree. A tree branch penetrated through the headlight straight into me in the car. But before it could pierce me, the car stopped.

We returned to the hospital since my wife had complications due to the accident. However, the doctor who conducted the surgery did not probe further, but only prescribed drugs. Despite taking all the prescribed medications, she continued to feel pains in the lower abdomen and complained of difficulty urinating and passing faeces.

A month later, upon the advice of our Area Head, we decided to go to another medical doctor in Lome, Togo to seek a second opinion, only for the doctor to detect after further scans that there was a leftover gauze (abdominal towel) and pus formation after the first surgery.

My wife had to undergo another surgery on January 3, 2023, to remove the pus and the gauze from her womb.

After the 4-hour-long surgery, the doctor told me that he could take away the pus and some particles of the gauze. According to him, the leftover gauze had deteriorated and caused an infection, which was the source of my wife’s pains and anaemia.

We left the hospital for the house with a great sense of relief, thinking that was all, not knowing that “the big one,” to borrow the expression of our dear Chairman, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, was coming.

Despite a few complaints of pain by my wife, we kept praying and believing that they were just side effects of the two consecutive surgeries and that she would be okay with time because she felt much better after the second surgery.

On February 14, 2023, while my wife was getting ready to send our baby to the hospital for their routine weighing, she screamed in the washroom, asking me to come and see. Lo and behold! What I saw was shocking! God pushed the actual leftover, thee month old abdominal towel (rotten gauze) out of my wife’s body while passing out faeces.

Indeed, what God cannot do does not really exist! What doctors could not do despite their good will and medical knowledge, God did it in just a minute. How can something come out through feaces when it was not swallowed? In fact, this is amazing!

In the Bible, people gave God various names depending on their encounter with Him. Today, we call Him ‘Jehovah Gauze’ for showing His ability to move gauze lying in the abdomen into the large intestine without using any surgical tool.

“They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” – Revelation 12:11.
