Jesus Christ Is Alpha & Omega – Pastor Awuah Fordjour

“Jesus Christ is the Alpha and Omega; the beginning and the end of everything. He is the only teacher from whom we must learn; the only Lord on whom we should depend, and the only model we should imitate. He is the only Physician that can heal us; the only Shepherd that can feed us; the only Way that can lead us; the only Truth that we can believe; the only Life that can animate us. He alone is everything to us, and He alone can satisfy all our desires.”

The above statement was contained in the sermon preached by the Agape District Minister and Outreach Coordinator of the Evangelism Ministry of The Church of Pentecost, Pastor Frank Awuah Fordjour, during a morning session of the “Juaboso for Christ” crusade at the Juaboso Central Assembly church auditorium.

Speaking on the topic: “Knowing Jesus by Revelation” with Matthew 13:17 and Philippians 3:10 as his anchor texts, Pastor Fordjour advised Christians to emulate Apostle Paul, who was relentless in his quest to know more of the Lord despite the many challenges he faced.

He noted that knowledge of God is very key to Christian living and a successful ministry.

One such deep truth that everyone must come to terms with, according to him, is the knowledge of Jesus Christ as the only saviour of the world.

He explained that Jesus Christ, the eternal son of God, is a gift of love from the Father for the salvation of the World. His sinless life on earth, death on the cross, burial and resurrection has accredited Him as the only saviour of humankind, he added.

Pastor Fordjour further explained that all those who believe and accept Him as their personal Saviour and Lord shall be saved from sin, death and eternal damnation.

“In return, Jesus gives you eternal life and the power to become a child of God,” he stated.

The Agape District Minister further indicated that when one becomes born again, God gives them the power to overcome sin and temptations, evangelise, prosper, overcome the world, overcome the devil and evil spirits.

“He also gives you the power to pray, and to operate and accept the gifts and the fruit of the Spirit,” he added.

Pastor Fordjour stressed the importance of the baptism of the Holy Spirit in Christian living, stressing that: “No Disciple can be victorious or effective in his/her Christian life and service without experiencing the power, person, glory and the fruit of the Holy Spirit.”

He further noted that the main work of the Holy Spirit is to help believers harness and maximise all the benefits (blessings) of the salvation they have received in Christ.

“Salvation comes with a package, but for the Christian to enjoy the fullness of the package is the work of the Holy Spirit,” he reiterated.

Jesus Is Powerful – Apostle Obeng Kesse

The Suame Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle John Obeng Kesse, has said that everything about Jesus is powerful and that He is the only one who wields absolute power.

“Everything about Jesus is powerful; His name is powerful, His blood is powerful, and all authorities and principalities are under his feet,” he charged as he addressed the thousands gathered at the Juaboso Town Park for yesterday’s evening session of the “Juaboso for Christ” crusade.

Quoting Hebrews 2:8-9, the Suame Area Head explained that God has put all things in subjection under the feet of Jesus, hence at the mention of His name, every knee bow in heaven, on earth and underneath.

He further indicated that Jesus’ preoccupation is to save all who are in the bondage of sin and death and grant them eternal life.

“Many people have great vision and professions in the world, but Jesus chose the business of redeeming sinners from sin and death,” he said.

He said that Jesus has power to save sinners from the kingdom of darkness of the evil and bring them into His kingdom of Light.

“The best part is that, Jesus’ power is translative, so He gives His power and authority to anyone who believes in Him to act in His name,” he said.

Apostle Obeng Kese, therefore, appealed to anyone contemplating suicide because of a hopeless situation they find themselves to reconsider their decision and rather come to faith in Christ, who is all-powerful and can save them from any predicament.

Do not die in your sin, believe in Jesus, and you will certainly experience the power in His name,” he said.

Seek God’s Anointing For Greater Impact – Evangelist Ohene-Asa Otu To Christians

The Sefwi Juaboso Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Evangelist Shadrach Ohene-Asa Otu, has advised Christians to be intentional about receiving the anointing of God for greater impact in life and ministry.

Evangelist Otu said this yesterday during the morning session of the “Juaboso for Christ” crusade at the Juaboso Central Assembly church auditorium.

Speaking on the topic: “The Double Portion Anointing” with 2 Kings 2:6-10 as his main scripture reference, the Sefwi- Juaboso Area Head said that each day the Lord gives Christians is an opportunity for them to seek good things from God through prayer. One of the things which, according to him, every Christian must seek in prayer is the anointing of God, he added.

Touching on the benefits of the anointing, Evangelist Otu explained that the one who is anointed has their words (speech) backed with evidence because anything they say comes to pass.

He further explained that an anointed person is not intimidated by anything or anyone, works signs and wonders (miracle worker), leads a life of holiness, righteousness and good character, and is “untouchable.”

“The anointing also brings life, breaks yokes (burdens), makes you a changed person and unique, brings about promotion, and grants you access to the deep things (mysteries) of God,” he said.

He, therefore, urged believers, in particular, to always yearn for a double portion of the anointing of God as Elisha requested of his master, Elijah.

To receive the anointing of God, Evangelist Ohene-Asa Otu said that one must first believe in Jesus Christ and be born again.

“As a child of God, you must ask for the power and the gift of the Holy Spirit through prayers and always wait upon the Lord,” he said.

The Sefwi-Juaboso Area Head also urged them to be determined and participate actively in congregational worship and fellowship in seeking a double portion of God’s anointing.

50-Year-Old Woman Miraculously Healed Of Protracted Bone Pain

Mrs. Susanna Ameyaw of the Bokabo District of The Church of Pentecost, who had been experiencing excruciating pain in her bones for many years, received instant healing during Day 2 of the “Juaboso for Christ” crusade.

She shared her testimony with the thousands gathered at the Juaboso Town Park for the event, yesterday.

Speaking to PENTECOST NEWS on the sidelines of the event, the mother of five said the condition had made life very unbearable and made it difficult for her to work on her farm, which is the source of her livelihood.

According to her, she would have gone to the hospital to seek medical attention, but for financial constraints. So, when Elder Stephen Awuah Kesse of the Agona Prayer Centre-Tarkwa, called out for persons who needed a touch of God to come forward to be prayed for, she saw that as a golden opportunity and quickly joined many others upfront.

“When the speaker said God is about healing someone of bone disease, I instantly felt that I was the one he was referring to and accepted it by faith. And surely, right after he said the prayer, the pain was gone,” she said.

Madam Susanna, who could not stop thanking God, shed tears of joy for the miracle she had received, saying: “Our God is indeed a good God. He knew I could not afford to go to the hospital for treatment, so He healed me Himself. May His name be praised.”

The “Juaboso for Christ” crusade is being jointly held by the Sefwi Juaboso Area of The Church of Pentecost and the Evangelism Ministry. The event is under the theme: “Jesus, the Only Saviour of the World.” (John 4:42).

Don’t Allow Anything To Overshadow Your Faith – Christians Told

Elder Stephen Awuah Kesse, Leader of the Agona Prayer Centre in the Tarkwa Area of The Church of Pentecost, has advised Christians to be resolute in their faith in all situations.

According to him, Christians can always find hope even in times of distress, stressing that “hope is found in Jesus alone. So, when you feel that all is lost, know that Jesus gives hope.”

Elder Awuah Kesse was speaking on Day 2 of the “Juaboso for Christ” crusade being jointly held by the Sefwi Juaboso Area and the Evangelism Ministry at Juaboso Town Park.

Dwelling on the story of the woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5:25-34, Elder Kesse said it took just a day for the woman to meet her destiny helper.

He, therefore, urged Christians to be hopeful in the Lord and trust that, in the appointed time, He will also come through for them.

“Men may neglect you, but God will never forsake you. It takes a day in the life of everyone to meet their destiny helper,” he said.

Elder Awuah Kesse also advised believers to be extra cautious during difficult times because the devil usually takes advantage of their predicaments to sway them from the Christian faith.

“We are always waging war against Satan over the faith we have in Christ Jesus. Do not allow your mind, which is the battleground, to be dominated by the words of friends and relatives or the deceit of the devil. Take a bold decision and be determined to walk with Jesus,” he advised.

Elder Awuah Kesse also urged Christians to take inspiration from the testimonies of others who demonstrated great faith in the Lord in difficult situations and were rewarded for it.

“The touch of Jesus brings liberty and wholeness. Just believe in the power of Jesus; He will turn your situations around,” he said.

Life Is A Journey – Apostle Dr. Jimmy Markin

“Life is a journey; it has a beginning and an end. Right from birth, you begin the journey and once you begin, you must know that it will come to an end. However, the mystery of the journey of life is that you do not know when it will end.”

The above statement was contained in a sermon preached by the Evangelism Ministry Director of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr. Amos Jimmy Markin, during the opening of the “Juaboso for Christ” crusade yesterday at the Juaboso Town Park.

According to Apostle Dr. Markin, since life is a journey, every human being must accept the fact that it will surely come to an end.

“It does not matter how it ends, whether, through an accident, sickness leading to death or through the rapture of the saints, every life on earth will end,” he said.

The Evangelism Director cautioned that the state in which one dies can never be reversed and remains. “Whether you died a believer or an unbeliever, you cannot change your status after death,” he warned.

He, therefore, urged humankind to make a concrete decision on how they would like to end their life journey. He stressed that there is no middle ground in the issue of heaven and hell.

“You are either blessed or cursed, a child of God or the devil, going to heaven or hell; there is no middle ground,” he said.

Apostle Dr. Jimmy Markin said that every human has to decide which side to be on.

Using the story of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10:25-37 to elaborate his assertion, he said that on the journey of life, human beings are bound to be attacked by the devil, who only seeks to kill, steal and destroy (John 10:10).

He said that, like the Good Samaritan, Jesus came to fully pay the price for the sins of humanity and redeem them from the attacks of the evil one.

The Evangelism Director, therefore, called on every human being to accept Christ into their lives as Lord and personal Saviour, especially since they do not know when their journey would end.

“This is not about emotions; it is a decision you must make; your destiny is in your own hands,” he charged.

The “Juaboso for Christ” crusade, which is being jointly organised by the Sefwi Juaboso Area and the Evangelism Ministry of The Church of Pentecost, is under the theme: “Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the World.”

You Have Been Saved To Represent God On Earth – Apostle Osei Fosu To Christians

The Sefwi Bekwai Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Emmanuel K. Osei Fosu, has said that the gift of salvation certifies believers as God’s representative on earth.

Apostle Osei Fosu said this yesterday when he preached on the topic: “Receive the life in Jesus Christ” on Day 3 of the ongoing “Sefwi Nkwanta for Christ” crusade at the Tanoso Community Park.

Using John 17:9-11 and John 3:16-17 as scripture references, the Sefwi Bekwai Area Head said that Jesus Christ possesses life and anyone who seeks Him obtains life for godly living.

“As a Christian, remember that the old life is crucified with Christ, so you are a new person in Christ. That means you have transited from death to life in Christ,” he said.

He explained that the depraved nature of humankind resulted from the disobedience of the first humans, Adam and Eve. According to him, this weakness causes human beings to perpetuate evil and other sinister acts against their fellow humans.

He further observed that evil is prevalent in the contemporary world because many unbelievers (and, even believers) do not have enough godly (spiritual) life.

He said that Christians have been redeemed to serve the interest and will of God on earth and must, therefore, lead lives that conform to the image of Christ.

“You are not only saved from darkness to light, but you also become the representation of God’s light on the earth,” he stressed.

Apostle Osei Ofosu, therefore, urged believers to eschew all forms of unrighteousness (sin) in order to receive all the countless gifts in Christ Jesus.

“There is a big difference between participating in church activities and possessing the gift of God’s salvation for yourself. As a believer of Christ, give your all to Him, make sure you remain in His word, and live your life in Him,” he said.

Eternal Life Can Only Be Found In Christ – Pastor Awuah Fordjour

The Agape District Minister of The Church of Pentecost, Pastor Frank Awuah Fordjour, has emphasised that eternal life can only be found in Christ and that only those who have accepted Him as Lord and personal Saviour can access it.

Pastor Fordjour said this when he preached on the Day 2 of the ongoing “Sefwi Nkwanta for Christ” crusade yesterday.

In his sermon, the Agape District Minister, who doubles as the Outreach Coordinator for the Evangelism Ministry, explained that the word “life” is translated in Greek as Bios, Psuche, and Zoe.

“Bios is simply physical life, Psuche means the soul-life, and Zoe is the God-kind of life, which is eternal,” he explained.

Using John 10, John 5:12, John 1:1 and 2, he stated that not only can eternal life be found in Jesus, but also, He alone has the power to save.

“Sin has no medication, but Jesus is the only one who possesses the antidote,” he said.

He further noted that, addition to eternal life and remedy for sin, there are countless benefits and blessings in Jesus such as good health, prosperity, deliverance from impure spirits, among others.

Pastor Awuah Fordjour, however, cautioned that anyone who does not accept Christ automatically becomes a candidate for hell, a place of torment reserved for all workers of iniquity.

“Your will has been given to you, so you must make your own choice. But whatever you decide, remember that you will account for this one day,” he advised.

The “Sefwi Nkwanta for Christ” crusade is under the theme: “In Him Is Life” (John 1:4). The event is being jointly organised by the Evangelism Ministry Directorate and the Nkwanta District of The Church of Pentecost at the Tanoso Community Park.
