Mrs. Favour Agbo, a resident of Nsakina, heard about the “Accra for Christ” crusade and decided to attend yesterday’s evening session with her husband. Little did she know that she would leave the event grounds healed of an ulcer she had been enduring for the last eight years.
Mrs. Agbo, a non-member of The Church of Pentecost, shared her story with PENTECOST NEWS after the event.
Narrating her ordeal, Favour said whenever she had a crisis, she felt severe stomach pains making life very unpleasant. According to her, the medications she received from the hospital were only to “manage” the situation.
According to Mrs. Agbo, on her way to the grounds with her husband, she felt an uneasiness usually associated with the condition but was determined to attend the event at all cost.
“When the preacher man said those who were sick should come forward to be prayed for, I went forward in faith. I closed my eyes as he prayed, and the next thing I saw was that I had fallen forcefully to the ground,” she said.
After she got up from the ground, Mrs. Agbo realised that she was feeling much better and also noticed that all the associated symptoms of the condition had left her.
The “Accra for Christ” crusade, which is under the theme: “This Same Jesus” (Acts 1:11), is being jointly held at the Nsakina M/A School Park by the Evangelism Ministry of The Church of Pentecost and the Anyaa-Ablekuma Area of the Church. The morning sessions are however held at the Oduman Central Assembly church auditorium.
