Apostle Dr. Amos Jimmy Markin, the Evangelism Ministry Director of The Church of Pentecost, has assured that God’s arms are open wide, ready to receive and restore anyone who comes to Him in humility.
He has, therefore, called on all individuals, particularly unbelievers, to make a resolute decision to turn to Christ amidst the myriad distractions vying for people’s attention in the contemporary world.
The Evangelism Director made this passionate appeal during the opening day of the much-anticipated “Greater Kumasi For Christ” crusade at Heroes Park, in the forecourt of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, Ghana.
In his sermon, Apostle Dr. Markin highlighted the boundless mercies, love, kindness, and favour that God bestows, irrespective of one’s past.
Emphasising the transformative power of accepting Jesus into one’s life, the Evangelism Director affirmed the promise of salvation, healing, and deliverance, ultimately leading to eternal life.
Referencing Exodus 3:3-4 and John 3:14-18, he drew a parallel from the life of Moses, expounding on the remarkable journey of destiny.
“From a royal upbringing as a Prince of Pharaoh, Moses’ identity underwent a significant shift. His priestly robes were exchanged for the attire of a shepherd, his mode of travel changed from horseback to wandering the desert,” he said.
Apostle Dr. Markin underscored Moses’ 40-year period of obscurity and uncertainty, which, according to him, was a consequence of the weight of sin he bore.
He further recounted how God persistently sought Moses’ attention by igniting a burning bush.
Apostle Dr. Markin reminded listeners that all individuals, born of woman, carry the innate nature of sin. He, however, noted that God’s grace is a beacon of hope, even for those who feel lost, unworthy, or burdened by incurable afflictions.
The Evangelism Director stressed that God’s season of renewal extends to all, saying: “This season is characterised by divine grace and favour, where God seeks to reconcile sinners to Himself, not based on their transgressions.”
The “Greater Kumasi For Christ” Crusade began on August 22, 2023, and is expected to end with a medical screening on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Heroes Park.
