The True Beauty Of A Christian Is In Sharing The Gospel – Prophet Tetteh Doku

The New Tafo Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Prophet Samuel Tetteh Doku, has stated that the act of sharing the Gospel message of Christ Jesus is the fundamental aspect that showcases the beauty of a Christian.

He emphasised that the true beauty of a Christian does not lie in their physical appearance or innate qualities but rather in their role as messengers of the Gospel.

“Spreading the Gospel makes the Christian beautiful,” Prophet Tetteh Doku said during his sermon titled: “Into the World, We Go” on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at the McKeown Missions Week launch held at the M. K. Yeboah Memorial Temple, Krofrom in Kumasi.

Reading Romans 10:9-15, the New Tafo Area Head highlighted the divine calling of individuals by God to propagate the Gospel and transform the world. He mentioned that those sent by God are equipped with heavenly support and power to navigate obstacles and persevere in their mission.

“When you are anointed for service, you do the work with joy regardless of circumstances,” he stated while recounting his experiences in the ministry work.

The clergyman underscored the transformative power of the Gospel, noting its ability to convict sinners, emphasising that this power remains constant.

He pointed out that God always accompanies the Gospel with signs and wonders, serving as evidence of His presence and power. He stressed that through preaching the Gospel, souls are saved and added to the church, leading to the expansion of the Kingdom of God, as seen in Acts 2:47b.

Concluding his message, Prophet Samuel Tetteh Doku urged Christians not to withhold the Gospel but to consistently share it as they are heralds entrusted with this vital task.

He also encouraged the congregants to support the mission enterprise of the Church by contributing resources and calling and praying for the missionaries.

Mrs. Juliana Korkor Obuobi Fellowships With Anyaa-Ablekuma Area

The wife of the General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, Mrs. Juliana Korkor Obuobi, fellowshipped with the Anyaa-Ablekuma Area on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.

The historic visit saw the gathering of all the pastorate and their wives, area, District, and local women’s leaders, as well as a mammoth of the women in the area.

The Area Head, Apostle William Ohemeng-Kwakye, in his welcome address, expressed his appreciation to Mrs. Julian Korkor Obuobi for making the time to visit the Area.

The congregation, who adorned themselves with the ministry’s paraphernalia, could not hide their joy as they danced their hearts out to the glory of God.

Mrs. Juliana Korkor Obuobi preached on the topic “The Unleashed Woman Transforming Her World,” where she stated that God has specially endowed women with the power of the Holy Spirit to position them to be able to transform her world.

She emphasised that the world is too large to be transformed by a single individual; however, God expects us to transform the whole world, which is why He has positioned them in various spheres in the marketplace to transform it.

Mrs. Korkor Obuobi also touched on the characteristics of the unleashed woman. According to her, the unleashed woman walks in righteousness and thus has no questionable character. Additionally, she speaks the truth wholeheartedly and is trustworthy.

“A woman unleashed does not gossip nor backbite. She patiently waits upon God and does not rush her way through life. The woman does not peddle herself in corruptible practices. Unleashed women are able to provide for the family. She shows compassion,” she stated.

Quoting Luke 24:9 and 1 Peter 2:9, she said that the unleashed woman is evangelistic and passionate about sharing Christ’s gospel with others wherever she finds herself.

She, therefore, urged women to embrace their role as change agents, bearing in mind that they are key stakeholders in the “Possessing the Nations” agenda.

Present at the event were Mrs. Comfort Ohemeng-Kwakye (Wife of the Area Head), ministers’ wives, and Women’s Ministry leaders at the area, district, and local levels.

Embrace Your Role As Change Agents – Mrs. Korkor Obuobi Encourages Women

Mrs. Juliana Korkor Obuobi, the wife of the General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, has urged women to embrace their role as catalysts for positive change in the realisation of the “Possessing the Nations” agenda.

Mrs. Obuobi said this on March 20, 2024, at the Anyaa Central Assembly auditorium during the weekly Wednesday prayer meeting with the Women’s Ministry of the Anyaa Ablekuma Area.

Speaking on the topic: “The Unleashed Woman,” Mrs. Obuobi emphasised the importance of embodying Christlike characteristics to impact their respective spheres positively.

Drawing from biblical references such as 1 Peter 2:9 and Acts 1:8, she highlighted women’s integral role in the transformational agenda of Christianity.

“We have been given every power and strength through the word of God deposited in us,” Mrs. Obuobi declared, urging women to fearlessly make a positive impact in their communities. “As women, we share in the responsibility to transform our world accordingly.”

Expounding on the characteristics of an “unleashed woman,” Mrs. Obuobi outlined key traits essential for effective transformation:

Citing Matthew 5:13, Mrs. Obuobi stated that every unleashed woman must Walk in Righteousness. She further stressed the pivotal role of righteous living in preserving and illuminating the world.

She then added that the unleashed woman must be truthful and avoid gossip and backbiting.

“In a world often marred by deceit, unwavering honesty, even in the face of adversity, is absolutely important in our walk to change our spheres,” she said.

She stated that women who seek to affect their spheres must exercise restraint in speech, refraining from gossiping and speaking ill of others, thus fostering a culture of respect and kindness, live in harmony with everyone, uphold integrity, shun corrupt practices, actively engage in spreading the Gospel and embody the teachings of Christ in their spheres of influence.

Present at the event were the Anyaa-Ablekuma Area Head, Apostle William Ohemeng Kwakye, and his wife, Comfort. Accompanying Mrs. Obuobi was Mrs. Deborah Richlove Owusu, wife of the Osu Central District Minister.

Recognising the significance of the family unit, the wife of the General Secretary further underscored that women unleashed must take charge of their home.

She then added that it is important for every woman to respect and serve her family, for it is a fundamental responsibility.

“Women must demonstrate compassion towards others and should rely on the guidance of the Holy Spirit and prioritise prayer as vital practices for spiritual empowerment and discernment for it mirrors Christ’s ministry, and it is a foundational attribute for societal transformation,” she stated.

Concluding her message, Mrs. Obuobi urged all gathered to be solutions to problems. Drawing inspiration from biblical figures like Esther, she then encouraged women to actively position themselves as solutions to societal challenges, thereby contributing to peace and harmony in their communities.

She then ended by making an impassioned call for women to embrace their transformative role in society, be an inspiration to others and positively influence their spheres with the values and principles of Christlike living.

Ashanti-Bekwai Area Holds Holy Ghost Convention

The Ashanti Bekwai Area of The Church of Pentecost, under the leadership of Apostle Fred Tiakor, held a one-day Holy Ghost Convention at the Bekwai Central Assembly auditorium.

The event, which was held on Friday, March 15, 2024, under the theme “Receiving Power to Be Unleashed” (Acts 1:8), had Apostle I.K. Amoako (Rtd.) as guest speaker and was attended by over 1,700 members.

Speaking on the main theme with scripture references from Acts 1:8 and Luke 11:9-13, Apostle I.K. Amoako said that there are two categories of the Holy Spirit, that is His indwelling and His empowering nature.

He emphasised that the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit equips the believer for service in God’s Kingdom.

He said that as soon as one accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Saviour, the Holy Spirit indwells them, and this gives them the fruit of righteousness and the heart of Jesus.

Apostle I.K. Amoako, however, noted that the empowering nature of the Holy Spirit is worked at and this is what is needed to be effectively unleashed for greater works.

According to him, one cannot rely on the indwelling spirit to do exploits, and therefore, advised Christians to yearn for the empowering spirit as they are being unleashed to conquer kingdoms for the Lord.

After the sermon, Pastor Seth Kwaku Ansah led the congregation in prayer during which 88 members received Holy Spirit baptism.

Also, many others received healings from all kinds of diseases.

Present at the Holy Ghost Convention were the area pastorate and their wives as well as officers and members of the church from the 22 districts in the area.

The Life-Giver Is A Gracious God – Mrs. Roberta Aseyero web

Mrs. Roberta Aseyero, the wife of the Suhum Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, has stated that one’s geographical location cannot prevent them from receiving God’s gracious love and mercies.

She made this profound declaration on Thursday, March 14. 2024 at the Shekinah Temple, Aflao, during the morning session of the “Aflao for Christ” crusade, which is being organised by the National Evangelism Ministry in conjunction with the Women’s Ministry.

She spoke on a message titled: “The Live Giver Is A Gracious God”, based on Joshua 2:1-21.

Mrs. Aseyero recounted how Rahab, a citizen of Jericho, received unmerited favour from God even though she did not deserve it.

Expounding her sermon, she said that after God had assured the Israelites of His provisions and promises to grant them the Promised Land as their treasured possession, Joshua their leader chose two spies to go and spy the land and bring back their report. Coincidentally, these men went into the house of Rahab, a prominent prostitute in Jericho. The men could have entered any other house, but out of divine goodwill and favour, the men found themselves in the Rahab.

“How could God, who was looking for a place for his people, direct these men to the house of a prostitute? This can only be possible through grace. God saw the longing of Rahab for him after she had heard of his fame in Jericho and chose a way to visit and rescue her”, she added.

She further stressed that in order to whitewash God’s gracious deliverance to Rahab, some Bible commentators claim that the spies went to an inn which belonged to her. This is because they could not fathom how God would send his people into the house of a prostitute.

However, “the life-giver is no respecter of persons. He is very gracious. In his kindness, he shows unmerited favour to everyone without conditions. It doesn’t matter the language you speak or your geographical location; the giver of life can show you favour,” she emphasised.

Relating her message to the ongoing crusade, she retorted that some people might be asking themselves why the program is being organised at this particular time. She surmised that it is out of God’s divine providence and salvific purposes that the crusade has been brought to Aflao.

“God has purposed to use the crusade to set the captives free. God in this season is changing stories and transforming lives” she added.

She revealed that God will visit those who desire or long for him.

“If you don’t allow yourself to be carried along with this wave of revival, other people who have visited the land because of the crusade will take the blessings away. You have to avail yourselves for God to use you as liberators” she admonished the congregants.

Mrs. Aseyero posited some virtues about Rahab that is worth emulating. Firstly, she knew what to ask and say at the right time. She became a liberator of her family because she made her requests to the spies at the right time.

“When Rahab had the right opportunity, she requested that she and her family be spared of God’s judgment upon the land. If God listened to a prostitute who had no relationship with him, is it too difficult for him to bless those who know him and put their trust in him? As children of God, we must not doubt God’s providential power and gracious deliverance,” she noted.

Secondly, she revealed that as a mark of her trust in the God of Israel, Rahab tied a scarlet robe on the window that she used to let down spies down when they fled from Jericho. The scarlet robe made her house look different from the rest. In the time of judgment, it was the scarlet robe that would distinguish her house from the rest from the rest.

Mrs. Aseyero prayed that God would put his sign of protection over the lives of those present, protecting them from evil and satanic attacks.

Thirdly, Rahab also told the spies about the news of God’s mighty works and power that had spread throughout the city of Jericho. Like Rahab, Mrs. Aseyero admonished Christians to make good use of information.

Rahab’s knowledge about the Israelites afforded her the opportunity to pray seek the welfare of his family.

“We are in the information age. What you don’t know will kill you” she emphasised.

According to the wife of the Suhum Area Head, another virtue that Rahab possessed that is worth emulating is that she was a hard-working woman.

Mrs. Aseyero stated that through her research, she discovered that Rahab was into a basket weaving business.

She, therefore, advised Christians to invest in multiple businesses in order to cushion their income and support their families.

Mrs. Roberta Aseyero also noted that Rahab knew how to create opportunities, adding: “Our ability to identify opportunities can open unlimited doors for us. Rahab hid the spies on top of her roof because she saw an opportunity to extend favour to these men, believing that whoever waters shall himself be watered.”

She concluded that Rahab had to wait for her deliverance to come. Even though it was delayed, she was not denied. She and her family were saved, and God’s providential grace enabled her to marry a Jewish royal, which made her become a great-grandmother of King David.

“If Rahab, who happens to be a prostitute and a liar, could receive God’s grace, then whatever situation we find ourselves in can also be turned around when we turn to the Lord. The Christian ought to speak positively about the situation, and things will change, for God spoke to darkness during the creation, and there was light. God is looking for a willing and obedient heart. Once it is given to him, he will surely extend his hand of favour to the seeker”, she explained.

The four-day event is being held under the theme “In Him is Life (John 1:4).”

Salvation Is An Individual Affair – Apostle Dr. Jimmy Markin Asserts web

Salvation Is An Individual Affair – Apostle Dr. Jimmy Markin Asserts

The Evangelism Ministry Director of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr. Amos Jimmy Markin, has said that the eternal life that God has promised can only be gained through one’s personal decision to accept Christ as Saviour.

Apostle Dr. Jimmy Markin made this assertion when he delivered a sermon on March 12, 2024, at the CEPS Park in Aflao.

In his sermon, the Evangelism Ministry Director said that securing eternal life is a matter of personal choice. It cannot be forced, coerced, or emotionally manipulated into being. It’s a decision that comes from within.

Speaking at the opening day of the “Aflao for Christ” crusade, Apostle Dr. Markin drew from Mark 10:17-22, highlighting the universal quest for understanding life after death and the path to eternal life.

He stressed that this quest, present in the hearts of unbelievers, needs to be settled once and for all.

Apostle Dr. Markin reminded the congregation of Jesus’s love for all men, even sinners, and clarified that merely doing good deeds does not qualify one for heaven.

He explained that every person is born in sin and thus spiritually dead, unable to inherit the spiritual world. However, God sent His son, Jesus, who died and resurrected for all mankind.

“Now, as the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep, Christ offers resurrection from the dead,” he added.

The Evangelism Director furthermore revealed that everyone who believes in Jesus receives the Spirit of God and inherits eternal life. This belief allows the individual to dwell in that Spirit.

“Eternal life is gained through personal decision. It is not by force, push, or emotions,” he asserted.

He urged the congregation to accept their sinful nature, believe in Jesus Christ as Lord over their lives, and acknowledge Him. In doing so, He will bring His Spirit into their spirit, leading to a spiritual rebirth.

Present at the crusade were Apostle Michael Agyen Brefo (Aflao Area Head), Elder Seth Peasah (El Bethel Prayer Centre), Deaconess Mrs. Philomina Mireku (Women’s Ministry Director), Mrs. Rebecca Aseyero (Wife of Suhum Area Head), Mrs. Rebecca Sey (Wife of Dansoman Area Head), and Deaconess Eunice Obeng (Evangelism Ministry NEC Member).

Jesus Christ Is The Restorer Of Broken Lives – Mrs. Rebecca Sey web

Jesus Christ Is The Restorer Of Broken Lives – Mrs. Rebecca Sey

The wife of the Dansoman Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Mrs. Rebecca Sey, has declared that the purpose of the coming of Jesus into human history is to bring restoration to the sinner.

She made this assertion on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, during the “Aflao for Christ” Crusade held at CEPS Park, near the border between Togo and Ghana.

Speaking on the message titled: “Jesus, The Embodiment of Eternal Life (Colossians 1:15-16)”, Mrs Sey stressed that Jesus’ purpose in coming into human history was to restore what man lost at the beginning.

Referencing Genesis Chapter One, she explained that, in the beginning, God created man in his own image with veins, capillaries, tendons, and flesh.

The flesh, which was formed, was motionless until God breathed into the man formed from the dust of the ground. “This action by God made man a living being,” she added.

She furthermore noted that the life one has is as a result of the breath of God, adding, “Without the breath of God into man, he remains lifeless.”

Expounding her message, she emphasized that, just as God, Jesus Christ is the source of life.

“He is not only a creator of life but also the author of life. For by him, all things were created in heaven, on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, dominions, and authorities, including everything that has breath on this earth. Since Jesus is not only a custodian of life but the restorer of life, He is able to give life to any person who finds himself in a hopeless condition,” she stressed.

Mrs. Rebecca Sey stated that in the beginning, God created man and gave him all the blessings he needed for life.

According to her, as a loving Father, God declared unto man to ‘be fruitful and multiply’ and to have and take dominion. That is how humanity was supposed to be. However, she revealed that that is not as it is in our present reality, this is because of sin.

“Human beings lost all the blessings of fruitfulness, dominion, and taking over because man’s greatest enemy, who is the devil, has his manifesto. His manifesto was to steal, kill, and destroy. Because of the fall of man, our desperation caused us to entangle ourselves with demonic powers. This has, unfortunately, made man a slave to the devil and death. Sin brought God’s judgment on humanity in the Garden of Eden. The judgment was that man shall toil and suffer to live on the earth, including pains and suffering that leads to death,” she bemoaned.

“But Jesus came to restore and give abundant life to mankind. The Bible says that when the Son of man sets you free, you are free indeed. When you give your life to Jesus, the enemy will not have authority over you again. This is because Jesus gives the gift of life to those who believe in his name,” she stressed.

The wife of the Dansoman Area Head further revealed that, for the purpose of restoring mankind to God’s original plan, “Jesus came to pay the price for man’s emancipation from sin. The way that was bent and crooked because of sin, Jesus came with the good news that He is the way, the truth, and the life.”

She emphasised that Christ Jesus can change the story of the destitute and oppressed. All that the afflicted could do is to run and receive this gift of Christ which Jesus is ready to give to those who call upon him.

“Are you weary, broken-hearted, and rejected? Turn to Christ Jesus and he will save you,” she stated.

She concluded her gospel message by admonishing all manner of persons to turn to Christ for the gift of life that He freely gives.
