The Tema Community 1 District Minister of The Church of Pentecost, Pastor John Mensah Yanney, and his wife, Rosina, have single-handedly constructed a mechanized borehole with ancillary facilities for the Alabokazo community in the Axim Area of the church.
The water facility is made up of a mechanized borehole, an overhead platform with a Rambo 1000 poly tank and taps to dispense the water.
It was commissioned by the Axim Area Head, Apostle Philip Osei-Korsah, and handed over to the chief of Alabokazo, Nana Ebekia Kojo II, on January 30, 2020.
Preaching the sermon, Pastor Richard Osei-Mensah of Eikwie District read Nehemiah 1:1-3, 3:3-5 and said that Nehemiah had the opportunity to serve at the King’s palace in Babylon but did not forget his homeland, Jerusalem.
He explained that when Nehemiah heard that Jerusalem was in ruin, he wept, fasted, prayed and went back to Jerusalem to help in rebuilding the walls of the city.
Pastor Osei-Mensah advised the people of the community to make the development of the area their priority by supporting all development efforts in the community.
Present at the ceremony were Pastor John Mensah Yanney, the Axim Area pastorate, and chiefs and people of the Alabokazo community.
