The Madina Area Women’s Ministry Leader of The Church of Pentecost, Deaconess Lydia Ama Fuah Hayford, has called on Christians to be grateful to God through thanksgiving, praise, worship and adoration at all times in all circumstances in appreciation of what God has made them.
According to her, Christians have been bought by a King with His precious blood who has rescued them from bondage and captivity. “A glorious King has offered a great sacrificial offering to sanctify us, prepare us as soldiers and glorious church to possess the nations,” she said, adding, “God has exchanged our destruction, humiliation, and stigmatization with eternal life and glorious future of hope. In reciprocity, God expects us to keep on showing gratitude, appreciation, worship and praise to Him all the time.”
“Our appreciation, testimony, praise, worship and thanksgiving as a glorious church serve as a great weapon to possess nations, breakdown chains of bondage, restrictions and set captives free in the world,” she stressed.
Deaconess Lydia Hayford said this during the Madina Area Women’s Ministry Joint Service dubbed ‘Aseda Kese’ held recently at Sychar Prayer Grounds.
Speaking on the topic, “The Thanksgiving of a Glorious Church” based on Acts 16:25, she said that a glorious church can never be restricted or chained for destruction.
She explained that Paul and Silas were stripped, beaten, humiliated and placed in an inner cell for no offence. Despite their situation, Paul and Silas never prayed against their accusers, enemies, the devil or anyone, rather they prayed to God for deliverance.
“They [Paul and Silas] raised their voices and kept on praising and worshipping God, praying and singing with thanksgiving which resulted in an earthquake that shook the foundation of the prison and broke down all chains.
“Praise, worship and thanksgiving of a glorious church are great gifts and weapons to disconnect the network of the devil. As Christians, false accusation, stigmatization, sufferings and humiliation should not be a hindrance from worshipping and praising God. Being alive alone is enough reason for us to be grateful to God and appreciate the love, greatness, protection and faithfulness of God in our daily lives,” she added.
She observed that there was nothing that believers can give in return to God than to offer Him a sacrifice of praise, worship, and thanksgiving.
Deaconess Lydia Ama Fuah Hayford, therefore, called on Christians to see themselves as very privileged people to be called as a glorious church to possess the nations. “Let us collectively be happy and appreciative to possess the nations for our Lord Jesus Christ with praise, worship, adoration, and thanksgiving,” she concluded.
