The Kpadjai District of The Church of Pentecost, in partnership with the Jesus Rescue Team, organised a four-day gospel crusade and medical outreach in Kpadjai and its surrounding towns.

The event, which was sponsored by Eternal Footprint and Sustainable Medical Missions, took place from March 15 to 19, 2023.

The primary aim of the programme was to present the gospel to the people of Kpadjai and provide medical assistance to meet their health needs.

The four-day activities included a durbar of chiefs and people of Kpadjai community, medical screening and medication, schools outreach, and a gospel crusade at Kpadjai Kokombaline.

The medical outreach provided screening and medication to about 1,500 people in communities such as Kpadjai, Kodome, Kikyei, Alhassan Akura, and Adakope, at a cost of GHS12,000.00.

During the house-to-house visitation exercise, Kwame Mafren, who had been bedridden and unable to walk for about four months, received instant healing and was able to walk again after prayers were offered by the team.

In addition, the team, led by Rev. Michael Davis, the founder of the Jesus Rescue Team, and Commodore Samuel Walker of the Ghana Navy, also donated four student mattresses worth GHS1,000 to the Kpadjai CHPS compound.

The event was a success, with many souls being led to Christ, and a home cell has been established

The Evangelism Ministry Director of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr. Amos Jimmy Markin, last Wednesday, paid a courtesy call on the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa, at his residence in Ho.

The Evangelism Ministry Director was accompanied by the Ho Area Head and Executive Council Member of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr. Dela Quampah.

During the interactions, Apostle Dr. Dela Quampah formally informed the Regional Minister about the ongoing “Ho for Christ” Crusade being organised by the Ho Area of The Church of Pentecost in collaboration with the Evangelism Ministry. He also shared with him some of the preliminary evangelistic activities undertaken by the Evangelism Ministry Advance Team ahead of the crusade and their impact on the region.

The Area Head briefed the Regional Minister on the various sessions of the four-day evangelistic activities, adding that: “we are sharing the gospel leading to the emancipation of the souls of men from the bondage of sin and its effect to the saving power of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

He said that the crusade would be climaxed on Saturday with a medical outreach. This, according to him, would be handled by a team of medical professionals within and outside the region to screen and treat residents of all kinds of ailments. 

Hon. Letsa, in his response, commended the Church for the impressive projects undertaken in the region and the nation and encouraged the Church to continue in pursuit. 

The Regional Minister also revealed that he had received an invitation from the Church to attend the upcoming National Politicians’ Conference, saying: “I actually consider myself an honorary member of The Pentecost Men’s Ministry (PEMEM),” he said.

The Regional Minister also praised the Church for tireless efforts at reaching out to lost souls through all means possible so as to lead them to the saving knowledge of Christ. 

Apostle Dr. Amos Jimmy Markin, on his part, congratulated the Regional Minister and his team for successfully hosting this year’s Independence celebration to the admiration of all.

The Evangelism Ministry Director assured the Regional Minister to expect unimaginable breakthroughs in the region.

“Wherever we have such a crusade, it results in a tremendous transformation of harden systems and ground-breaking seasons,” he said.

At the end of the visit, the church delegation offered prayers for Hon. Letsa and also prayed for an outpouring of God’s blessings on the entire region.

The Evangelism Ministry of The Church of Pentecost, in collaboration with the Schools Outreach Ministry (SOM) of the Peki District of the Church, organised a Sports Outreach last Saturday.

At the end of the exercise, 144 people gave their lives to Christ.

The sports evangelism outreach was part of preliminary activities scheduled by the ministry ahead of the upcoming “Ho for Christ” Crusade.

The crusade would be held at the Anglokordzi-Rabazey Children’s Park from March 14 to 17, 2023.

The event, which is being hosted by the Ho Area of the Church, is under the theme: Jesus Came To Seek and Save (Luke 19:10).

A Trustee of The Church of Pentecost, Elder Dr. Ken Aboah Esq., has charged Christians to make evangelism a personal lifestyle in order to reach more people with the gospel.

He explained that the greatest obstacle to evangelism is Christians who do not share the gospel, attributing this phenomenon to the absence of the love of God in the life of the believer.

Elder Dr. Aboah who is also a National Executive Committee (NEC) Member of the Evangelism Ministry gave the charge when he spoke on the theme: ‘The local church in Evangelism” at the 2023 Global Ministers and Wives’ Conference currently underway at the Pentecost Convention Centre, Gomoa Fetteh, near Kasoa.

He posited that when Christians preached the gospel with the power of God, backed by the Holy Spirit and prayers, nobody can thwart the plans of God in making the hearers of the Word come to the saving knowledge of Christ.

“The only good news in the world today is that Jesus died to save sinners, and this must be preached daily. Don’t let one day pass by without sharing the gospel,” he reiterated.

Referring to God’s covenant with The Church of Pentecost coupled with his personal evangelistic ministry, Dr. Aboah bemoaned the gradual emerging trend of altar calls not being made during church services in some local assemblies of the church.

“We have to make sure to hand over to our children the tenets in the covenant; and the key factor for the growth and sustenance of the church around the globe is aggressive evangelism,” Lawyer Aboah stated.

To this end, he appealed to the ministers and their wives to continuously preach on the second coming of Christ (eschatology). He emphasized that the unreached people in the world could be reach with the word of God through deliberate prayers, planning, preparations, and presentation of the gospel.

Elder Dr. Aboah further called for more financial investment in the evangelistic drive of the church and members undertaking such endeavours.

He used the opportunity to recommend the Schools Outreach Ministry, the Church on the Ocean (reaching out to seamen, fisherfolks) and Prayer Evangelism (scheduling prayer sessions for specific groups) and Festival Evangelism as emerging forms of evangelism which has great impact worthy to be undertaken for maximum results.

PENTECOST NEWS

A three-day gospel and healing crusade organised by the Tamale Area of The Church of Pentecost, in collaboration with Soul Partners International, at the Salaga Senior High School in the Northern Region of Ghana, recorded 297 souls to the glory of God.

The crusade, dubbed “Salaga for Christ,” was held from December 8 to 10, 2022, in morning and evening sessions.

The morning sessions focused on prayer, fasting, Holy Ghost baptism, and teachings, whilst the evening session was dedicated to the proclamation of the Gospel message of Christ.

The officials of Souls Partners International, collaborated with the Health Workers Guild of the Tamale Area to organise medical screening exercises during the morning sessions.

Speaking at an evening session of the crusade, the Tamale Area Head and Executive Council Member of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Sylvester Arhin, asserted that Jesus is the only Saviour of the world and that eternal life can be found in no one else but Him.

“The son of God manifested in the flesh to save man from the power of sin and give us eternal life,” he said.

Apostle Arhin, therefore, urged all who are yet to surrender their lives to Jesus to do so and obtain eternal life.

At the end of the crusade, 297 people accepted Christ as their Lord and personal Saviour; 156 of them underwent water baptism by immersion.

Soul Partners International is a US-based non-profit Christian organisation founded by Dr. Nathaniel Owusu, his wife, Gifty Nana Akua Owusu, and Dr. Harriet Kussi in October 2018.

The organisation partners with local churches to organise evangelism outreaches in their communities and also attend to the health needs of community members.

“Moree for Christ” Crusade, a four-day evangelism outreach organised by the Cape Coast Area of The Church of Pentecost at the Moree D/A Basic School Park, recorded 206 souls to the glory of God.

The crusade, which was held from November 30 to December 3, 2022, was part of the Area’s activities for the recently-observed November Aggressive Evangelism Month.

The event was held in both morning and evening sessions under the theme: “For The Son of Man Came To Seek and Save the Lost” (Luke 19:10).

The main speakers for the crusade were Apostle Samuel Yaw Antwi  (Cape Coast Area Head and Executive Council Member), Apostle Samuel Edzii-Davidson (Offinso Area Head), Apostle Isaac Annan (Mankessim Area Head) and Pastor Samuel Aidoo  (Area Evangelism Ministry Leader and Cape Coast District Minister).

At the end of the event, 145 adults and 61 children surrendered their lives to Christ, 134 persons underwent water baptism, and nine converts received Holy Spirit baptism with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.

It is also worth noting that 53 backsliders were won back and led to rededicate their lives to Christ.

There were also several testimonies of instant healings and deliverance from spiritual bondage during the prayer sessions that followed the preaching of the gospel message of Christ.

Pentecost International Worship Centre, Graceland (PIWC-Graceland) organised a two-day evangelism crusade on the campus of the Regional Maritime University (RMU) as part of activities to mark the “November Aggressive Evangelism Month” being observed in The Church of Pentecost nationwide.

The event, which was held from November 18 to 19, 2022, had Pastor Felix Okyere Anti (Resident Minister) and Pastor Gabriel Nti (PENSA Travelling Secretary, Madina Sector) as the main speakers.

The crusade also featured song ministrations by Kobby Mante and Elder Shadrach Yeboah, Grace Choir (Resident choir of PIWC-Graceland) and PENSA-RMU Harmonics. 

At the end of the event, a total of 10 souls were won, with four receiving water baptism on the RMU campus, while 21 others rededicated their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ.

In a related development, a street evangelism exercise embarked upon by the entire presbytery and members of PIWC-Graceland last Sunday, after church service, yielded 20 souls to the glory of God.

Led by the leadership of the Church, the congregation marched through principal inner roads within the community proclaiming the gospel message of Christ to the residents and other bystanders.
