Twifo Praso Area Organises Maiden Teens Cooking Competition

The Twifo Praso Area of The Church of Pentecost has held its maiden Teens Cooking Competition, aimed at testing the culinary skills and knowledge of teenagers within the Area. The event took place on Saturday, November 22, 2025.

The competition, an initiative of the wife of the Area Head, Mrs. Doris Otu-Nyarko, was designed not only to assess the cooking abilities of the teens but also to promote good eating habits and table etiquette among young people.

According to Mrs. Otu-Nyarko, the programme was inspired by the need to educate and build confidence in teenagers as they learn practical life skills.

The event featured two main segments—a quiz on table etiquette and healthy eating practices, and a cooking contest where participants were tasked to prepare a meal based on the dietary needs of a hypothetical individual.

Addressing participants, the Area Head, Apostle Lawrence Otu-Nyarko, encouraged the teens to take active roles in household responsibilities, especially in the kitchen.

He added that the initiative would help reinforce healthy eating habits among the youth.

At the end of the keenly contested competition, the Twifo Hemang District emerged winner, with Wassa Akyempim placing second, while Wamaso District took third position.

Michel Camp District Celebrates 25 Years Of God’s Enduring Faithfulness

The Michel Camp District of The Church of Pentecost recently celebrated its 25th Anniversary, marking a quarter-century of God’s unfaltering faithfulness. The theme, “The Faithfulness of God,” anchored on Psalm 100:5, guided the district’s week-long celebration, which began on November 4, 2025, and culminated on November 9, 2025.

The anniversary festivities featured a series of events, including a Mega Crusade, Jesus March Float, Praise and Thanksgiving Night, and a grand thanksgiving service. The events brought together past ministers, officers, members, and dignitaries to reflect on the Lord’s goodness throughout the District’s journey. Several seasoned ministers of The Church of Pentecost, including Apostle Dr. Amos Jimmy Markin, Apostle Nana Yaw Agyei, Apostle Anthony Ahalivor (Retd), and Prophet J.E. Ameyaw (Retd), expounded on the theme, encouraging members to acknowledge God’s faithfulness.

In his sermon, Prophet J.E. Ameyaw (Retd) affirmed that the District’s 25-year journey has been sustained solely by divine protection. “Many are seeking protection and safety from other sources, but those who have Jesus have firm and assured protection,” he said.

Pastor Shadrack Addo Arnan, the District’s Minister, expressed gratitude to God and all who have laboured for the District’s growth. “I am deeply thankful to God, to all past District Ministers, officers, and members who have contributed since the creation of this District. Your sacrifices and commitment have brought us this far,” he said.

The District also demonstrated the love of Christ through social action, donating items to the Boundless Horizon Special School at Tema. The celebration was graced by several dignitaries, including Nii Tetteh Oglie II, Chief of Militsakpo, who expressed appreciation for the Church’s invitation and assured them of his support.

The Michel Camp District was established in September 2000 with four Assemblies and has since flourished under the leadership of several ministers. As Pastor Addo Arnan testified, “From small beginnings, the Lord has done great things for us. To God be the glory!”

The District’s history was also highlighted, with the first District Minister, Late Pastor James Mensah, and subsequent leaders contributing to its growth. The celebration served as a reminder of God’s unfailing faithfulness across generations, and the District continues to thrive spiritually and socially, bearing testimony to the truth that “Great is Thy faithfulness, O Lord.”

Kwatire District Holds Menstrual Hygiene Management Campaign, Donates Over 300 Sanitary Items

As part of activities marking its 10th anniversary celebration, the Kwatire District of The Church of Pentecost in the Sunyani Area has organised a Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) campaign and donated over 300 sanitary items to adolescent girls in the community. The District, which is celebrating a decade of God’s faithfulness under the theme, “Celebrating the Faithfulness of God: He Has Established Our Land”(Psalm 119:90), held the event on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the Kwatire Community Durbar Grounds. Participants included pupils from basic schools as well as young apprentices.

Speaking at the gathering, the District Pastor, Pastor Michael Opoku Nsiah, said menstruation is a natural process created by God and therefore should be regarded with dignity and proper care. He stressed that anything God created is good and must be handled responsibly to promote good health and prevent diseases. Pastor Nsiah encouraged community members to show respect to girls and women during their menstrual periods and called on adolescents to practise good hygiene by keeping themselves clean and disposing of used sanitary pads appropriately. He cautioned against the reuse of sanitary materials and urged boys to desist from mocking girls who may be experiencing their menstruation.

The Chief Executive Officer of Sustainable Development Focus, SUDEF, Ghana, Elder John Baidoo, whose organisation partnered the District for the event, noted that the campaign sought to highlight the importance of menstrual health and draw attention to the challenges faced by females who lack access to essential menstrual products. He explained that the initiative was also aimed at promoting dignity and safety for women and girls as they manage this natural biological function.

Chairing the event, Deaconess Grace Tabiri-Mensah advised adolescent girls to prioritise proper menstrual hygiene to avoid infections and health complications. She also encouraged them to commit their lives to the Lordship of Jesus Christ as they grow into adulthood.

Health professionals from the Kwatire Government Hospital served as facilitators for the campaign, taking participants through practical education on effective menstrual hygiene management. The event concluded with the distribution of sanitary pads to all adolescent girls present, an effort supported by the Women’s Ministry of the Church.

The programme featured a series of insightful presentations. Evangelist Agyemang led the first session, focusing on “One-Minute Evangelism” and providing an overview of the mandate and operations of the Other Sheep Ministry.

His presentation opened the floor for fruitful discussions and contributions from participants, enriching the learning experience. Church Urged To Engage Influencers As Agents Of Transformation web

The Church Urged To Engage Influencers As Agents Of Transformation

The Community 2 Revival Assembly in the Greenwich Meridian District of The Church of Pentecost on Sunday, November 16, 2025, hosted Pastor Michael Laryea Jnr, Coordinator for the Ministry to Celebrities, as part of the Apostolisation sessions following the Heads’ Meeting at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC).

Delivering a sermon on the 2026 theme, “The Church Unleashed to Transform Society Through the Gospel and the Power of the Holy Spirit,”Pastor Laryea Jnr situated the message within the larger Possessing the Nations agenda, noting that the Church exists not only as a spiritual body but as a divine instrument for societal transformation. He explained that God has mandated His Church to influence every sphere of life through the Gospel and the enabling power of the Holy Spirit.

Acknowledging challenges such as rising secularism, moral decline, corruption, and increasing hostility toward Christian values, he observed that many believers today struggle to carry out their transformational mandate. Despite these realities, he assured the congregation that God is raising a generation equipped to confront societal darkness with truth, love, and spiritual authority. He referenced Nineveh’s repentance under Jonah, Daniel’s influence in Babylon, and the sweeping transformation that occurred in Ephesus when the Gospel confronted entrenched idolatry, emphasising that meaningful societal change is possible even in adverse environments.

Pastor Laryea Jnr stressed that the Gospel of the Kingdom goes beyond personal salvation to encompass justice, integrity, compassion, and the dignity of labour. Drawing from the Puritan heritage, he reminded believers that every Christian is a minister within their sphere of influence – whether in education, governance, business, media, or family life – and that secular work becomes sacred when done unto the Lord. He concluded by emphasising that true and lasting transformation is only achievable through the power of the Holy Spirit. The Church, he noted, must therefore operate with boldness, spiritual discernment, and the authority Christ has bestowed, declaring that now is the time for the Church to be fully unleashed into society.

Adding his remarks, the District Minister, Pastor Dr Suleman De-Graft Issaka, highlighted the importance of the Ministry to Celebrities, explaining that a celebrity is simply an individual with influence or a significant following. If the enemy values such people, he said, then God certainly has even greater use for them in advancing His Kingdom. He cited Peter, Zacchaeus, and Paul as biblical examples of well-known and influential individuals whose lives were transformed by Jesus and later used mightily for Kingdom work. These accounts, he noted, show that ministering to influencers is both biblical and essential. He encouraged the congregation to uphold Pastor Laryea Jnr in prayer and support as he undertakes this crucial ministry assignment.

Nchiraa District Launches COP-STEM Championship; Hundreds Of Students Commit To Christ

The Nchiraa District of The Church of Pentecost in the Kintampo Area made history on Friday, 14th November 2025, with the successful launch of its maiden COP-STEM Championship, an innovative educational initiative that brought the entire town to a standstill.

The programme, conceived by the Schools Outreach Ministry (SOM) of the District, was birthed after extensive engagements with key educational stakeholders who identified the urgent need to support teaching and learning, particularly in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). In response, the COP-STEM Championship was instituted to motivate and equip pupils to excel in STEM subjects, thereby contributing to the long-term transformation of education in Nchiraa. The maiden edition of the event recorded an impressive turnout, bringing together over 900 students and 40 teachers from all public basic schools in the district, making it one of the largest educational gatherings ever held in the town.

The Special Guest of Honour, Elder Barima Acheampong Sarpong II, Chief of Asante Asamang and Deputy Director of the Pentecost Men’s Ministry (PEMEM), delivered an inspiring keynote address in which he urged students, teachers, and parents to see the COP-STEM Championship not merely as a quiz competition but as “a passport to the future.” Elder Sarpong II lauded the initiative as a bold and visionary step by The Church of Pentecost, emphasising that the programme goes beyond the distribution of learning materials to become a transformative movement aimed at elevating the standard of education in the community. He encouraged students not to view their location as a limitation but as a springboard to greater achievements and concluded with three key challenges: to be curious, see problems as opportunities, and use their hands creatively.

Representing the Wenchi Municipal Director of Education, Mrs. Mary Nyarko Adutwum, Municipal PRO of the Ghana Education Service, Mr. David Baffoe, commended The Church of Pentecost for the initiative, noting that STEM education should be embraced as a pathway to innovation, problem-solving, and a brighter future for the young generation. The event also drew the participation of several dignitaries, including personnel from the Ghana Police Service, officials of the Ghana Education Service, the Kintampo Area SOM Leader, and chiefs and queenmothers of the Nchiraa community, reflecting strong collaboration between the Church and local institutions.

The day’s activities were crowned with an interschool sports festival held at the Methodist School Park, which transformed into a vibrant scene of unity, excitement, and youthful energy, engaging the entire community. The programme culminated in a remarkable spiritual harvest, as 370 students surrendered their lives to Christ, marking the COP-STEM Championship not only as an educational milestone but also as a powerful evangelistic breakthrough for the Nchiraa District. This historic event thus combined learning, community engagement, and spiritual revival, positioning the district to continue nurturing both academic excellence and godly transformation.

Apostolic Encounter Ignites Revival at PIWC Graceland

A remarkable wave of revival swept through Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC) Graceland when the Missions Director of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Emmanuel Agyemang Bekoe, paid an apostolic visit intended to reignite zeal, unity of purpose, and spiritual readiness toward the Church’s 2026 theme and its corresponding thematic areas as previously outlined by the Chairman of the Church, Apostle Dr. Eric Nyamekye.

Addressing the congregation on Sunday, November 16, 2025, Apostle Bekoe emphasised that the Church remains God’s chosen agency to project His glory and Lordship across the earth. However, he noted that increasing secular influences and distorted human behaviours often mask this divine mandate, causing many believers to lose heart. In such a season, he said, God is actively searching for dedicated men and women who will courageously advance His kingdom agenda. “One man, one woman can change the narrative,” he stressed, urging Christians not merely to work for a living but to live for the work of God.

Drawing lessons from Jonah’s initial reluctance, the Missions Director reminded the Church that despite human hesitation, God still uses His vessels to accomplish His purpose. He highlighted the 2026 theme – “The Church Established to Transform Society Through the Gospel and the Power of the Holy Spirit” – as a strategic step toward fulfilling Vision 2028. According to him, achieving this requires two essential tools: committed people who understand their divine assignment, and the uncompromised proclamation of the Gospel under the power of the Holy Spirit. “The day the Holy Spirit leaves the church, our gatherings become nothing more than social events,” he cautioned, reaffirming the Spirit’s centrality to ministry.

Apostle Bekoe further outlined the key thematic topics for 2026, including Spiritual Living in a Secular World; My Job, My Kingdom Assignment; Authenticating Conversion into Credible Testimony; Raising Spirit-Filled Disciples; Baptism and the Infilling of the Holy Spirit; The Power of Fasting and Prayer; Living in Anticipation of Christ’s Return; Sharing the Love of Christ;and The Godly Home. Though familiar, he said, these topics must be repeatedly echoed until the Church fully embodies them.

Referencing Acts 8:4–8 and Acts 13:1–13, he affirmed that transformation requires not only proclamation but demonstration. Signs, wonders, and tokens of divine power, he noted, authenticate the Gospel and inspire faith in unbelievers. He challenged the Church to abandon fear, exercise bold faith, and allow God’s power to flow through them.

Apostle Bekoe concluded with a passionate charge: “As the proconsul saw something in Paul’s day, may people see something through us as we say something.” He then led the congregation in an intense prayer session, igniting renewed passion for the task ahead.
