TOSM, Sanneh Institute Deepen Partnership To Support Believers From Other Faiths

The National Executive Council (NEC) of The Other Sheep Ministry (TOSM) on January 16, 2026, paid a working visit to the Sanneh Institute at North Legon to strengthen collaboration aimed at Christian witnessing and the intentional support of believers from other faiths backgrounds.

The visit formed part of broader efforts to develop structured responses to the unique pastoral, discipleship, and integration needs of such believers, particularly within the West African context.

During the engagement, TOSM reaffirmed its commitment to defending the spiritual wellbeing and rights of Christians who were formerly affiliated with other faith traditions. The Ministry acknowledged its responsibility in this area, noting that some members of its national leadership are themselves believers from other faiths backgrounds and therefore bring personal experience and insight to the Ministry’s mission.

Discussions focused on building strategic networks that would allow ministers and church leaders from other faiths backgrounds to interact, share experiences, and identify practical needs.

Attention was given to how local churches can provide sustained pastoral care and guidance, especially for young believers navigating faith transitions. Participants also explored avenues for strengthening collaboration between ministries, institutions, and churches to enhance support systems.

A major outcome of the meeting was the proposal to develop a contextualised discipleship manual specifically designed for believers from other faiths backgrounds, with emphasis on the West African setting. The manual is expected to serve as a practical tool for grounding converts in Christian doctrine, identity, and spiritual maturity.

Apostle Dr Dieudonne Komla Nuekpe commended the initiative, stating that its objectives align with the foundational vision of TOSM. He highlighted the strategic importance of partnering with The Church of Pentecost, whose numerical strength and facilities offer wider reach and impact.

He further proposed expanding the initiative to include leadership development and suggested that it could evolve into an annual convention. He also encouraged long-term thinking that could incorporate broader civic engagement.

The visit ended with a proposal to organise a regional engagement in the second half of the year to further strengthen ministry efforts through collaboration and structured discipleship.

Present at the meeting were Prof John Azumah, CEO of the Sanneh Institute; Apostle Dr Dieudonne Komla Nuekpe, NEC Chairman of TOSM; Evangelist Abraham Addae Agyemang, National Coordinator of TOSM; Pastor Dr De-graft Issaka Suleman; and Pastor Mark Mohammed Alhassan.

The Power Of The Holy Spirit Makes The Difference web.jpg

The Power Of The Holy Spirit Makes The Difference – Apostle Dr Nuekpe

The La Area Head and Executive Member of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr Dieudonne Komla Nuekpe, has called on believers to depend fully on the Holy Spirit in every aspect of their lives.

Apostle Nuekpe made this call during a sermon titled “Living for His Glory” at the 37th Local Assembly of the Roman Ridge District on Sunday, January 11, 2026.

Referencing Luke 1:35, he noted that just as the Holy Spirit came upon Mary, the mother of Jesus, the Spirit’s presence sanctifies the believer. He explained that the Holy Spirit provide believers the enablement to live a life pleasing to God, adding, “It is only the Spirit of God that makes impossibilities possible.”

He indicated that if believers do not allow the Holy Spirit to take control, they will grow weary in their daily walk with God.

Quoting Jeremiah 45:1-5, Apostle Nuekpe recounted how Baruch had left everything to follow the prophet Jeremiah during Judah’s rebellion against God. However, Baruch eventually became grieved and began to grumble, complaining bitterly about the things he had forsaken to serve God and feeling disappointed by unfulfilled expectations. It was at that point that God, through Prophet Jeremiah, revealed the impending destruction upon Judah and assured Baruch that He would preserve his life as a prize of war.

Citing 1 Corinthians 15:58, the Apostle urged believers to stand firm in the truth. Instead of complaining about past failures or unachieved goals, he encouraged them to be grateful for the gift of life and to give thanks in all circumstances. He implored the congregation not to relent in their pursuit of the Holy Spirit through fasting and prayer, emphasizing that only the Spirit can enable them to remain steadfast in the Lord.

Apostle Dr Nuekpe also quoted Romans 8, reflecting on the Apostle Paul’s confession of struggling to do the good he desired while often doing the very evil he hated. He attributed this struggle to a lack of the Holy Spirit’s infilling, warning that believers who fail to yield to the Spirit will find it difficult to live for God’s glory.

Finally, referencing Galatians 5:17 and 19, Apostle Dr Nuekpe emphasised that living for God’s glory requires believers to eschew all forms of sin and live in conformity with the Word of God. This, he noted, fosters a closer relationship with the Holy Spirit and empowers believers to live lives that are pleasing to God.

Apostle Dr Nuekpe concluded the message by reiterating that the Christian journey cannot be successfully navigated through human effort alone. He led the congregation in a time of solemn prayer and rededication, urging them to seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance earnestly.

In attendance were the district Pastor, Michael Manieson, Mrs Junanita Nuekpe, the Area Deacon, Elder Michael Opare Atuah and Elder Professor Dziwornu.

Pentecost Preparatory Honours Late Mrs Agatha Amoah with Academic Block web.jpg

Pentecost Preparatory Honours Late Mrs Agatha Amoah with Academic Block

An academic block at the Pentecost Preparatory School in Madina has been named in honour of the late Mrs Agatha Amoah, a pioneer of the institution and wife of former General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Albert Amoah (Retired).

The dedication took place during a short but significant ceremony held at the school premises on Wednesday January 28,2025.

Pentecost Preparatory School was founded in 1985 as Arm of the Lord by then Mr Albert Amoah and his wife, the late Mrs Agatha Amoah. The establishment of the school was inspired by a vision God placed in the heart of Mrs Amoah, which later grew into a fully functioning educational institution.

In 1994, the school was donated to The Church of Pentecost after two unsuccessful attempts by the couple to hand it over to new management. This decision was necessitated by their increasing responsibilities in full-time ministry, as Apostle Amoah became actively engaged in pastoral duties.

Speaking at the naming ceremony, Apostle Albert Amoah (Retired) described the school as “a seed of thought planted in the mind of my late wife many years ago,” noting that what began as a simple vision has today become a lasting legacy impacting generations of children.

The General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, who also addressed the gathering, urged Christians and leaders to live purpose-driven lives that leave enduring legacies for future generations. He emphasised that great achievements often begin as small ideas.

“Everything starts like a seed,” he said, “but when it is well looked after and watered, it grows into something positive.”

Apostle Obuobi further encouraged resilience in the face of opposition and challenges, drawing lessons from the perseverance of Apostle Amoah and his late wife, who faced significant resistance during the early years of the school’s operations.

Touching on the importance of memorials, he referenced Joshua 4:1–6, explaining that God instructed the Israelites to set up a memorial of stones as a reminder of His intervention when the River Jordan parted. According to him, such memorials serve as reminders of God’s faithfulness and human obedience.

In a related announcement, Apostle Albert Amoah (Retired) unveiled the establishment of the Agatha Amoah Excellence Award, which will be presented to students who demonstrate outstanding academic performance, with a special focus on excellence in English Literature.

During the meeting, Apostle Dr Nyamekye explained that it was important to formally meet the Prime Minister and officially brief him on the operations and impact of The Church of Pentecost in Kosovo and across the wider Balkan region. Child After Eight Years – A Testimony Of Faith And Intercession

The Kojobone District of The Church of Pentecost was filled with joy and thanksgiving on Friday, December 12, 2025, as Overseer Eric Adade and his wife, Mrs Hannah Serwaa Adade, dedicated their son, baby Samuel Nyametease Adade Jnr., at a special naming ceremony held at Kojobone Central. The child’s dedication marked the fulfilment of an eight-year journey of faith, prayer, and perseverance.

The ceremony attracted pastors, church leaders, family members, friends, and community representatives. It was chaired by the Kete-Krachi Area Head, Pastor Charles K Fosu, who was accompanied by his wife, Mrs Gifty Fosu. Ministers from other Christian denominations in Kojobone, as well as representatives from the Kojobone Chief’s Palace, were also present, underscoring the significance of the occasion.

Pastor Alex Buobu delivered the exhortation on the theme, “Biblical Parenting: A Case Study of Eunice and Timothy,” drawing from 2 Timothy 1:5 and 3:14–17. He encouraged parents to be intentional in planting sincere faith, godly values, and positive habits in their children, emphasising that effective parenting requires deliberate spiritual investment. He further noted that parents are custodians of the future of the Church and must therefore mentor their children through godly example, consistency, and love. He also stressed the need for holistic child development, urging families to nurture children spiritually, socially, intellectually, and physically through practices such as family altars, Bible reading, Sunday School participation, and good personal discipline.

At the height of the service, Mrs Hannah Serwaa Adade shared a moving testimony, recounting how she and her husband waited patiently on God for eight years for the fruit of the womb. She explained that despite several medical consultations, tests, and treatments, no solution was found. However, their faith in God remained steadfast. She testified that during the Pre-Christmas Pastors and Wives Retreat organised by the Area Head last year, they engaged in earnest prayer, after which God answered them with the gift of conception.

The testimony ignited heartfelt praise and thanksgiving among the congregation, strengthening the faith of many present. The service ended in joyful celebration as the Kojobone District rejoiced with the Adade family, giving glory to God for His faithfulness and perfect timing.

Downtown Ofaakor Area Begins Twin Mission House For Two Districts web.jpg

Downtown Ofaakor Area Begins Twin Mission House For Two Districts

The Downtown Ofaakor Area of The Church of Pentecost, under the leadership of Apostle William Kojo Edzorhoho, held a foundation stone-laying ceremony on January 18, 2026, at the Downtown District Mission House premises, marking a significant milestone in the construction of a twin mission house to serve both the Downtown and Peace Town Districts.

In his welcome address, the Area Head described the project as a timely and strategic intervention, noting that the twin mission house would provide adequate accommodation for ministers serving the two growing Districts. He commended the ministers and leadership for their dedication and hard work in bringing the project to this stage.

Delivering the sermon, Pastor Daniel Nabaku, Minister of the Ebenezer Estate District, spoke on the topic “The Mission Dynamics.” Drawing from Genesis 28:18, he explained that Jacob anointed the stone with oil to mark it for recognition, stressing that mission houses are built with a divine purpose – to house God’s sent servants. He encouraged members to give the “keys of their hearts” to their ministers, just as keys are handed over to mission houses, adding that ministers are entrusted with God-given vision that must be nurtured over time. He urged the congregation to live harmoniously with their ministers to fully benefit from the purpose of the mission house.

Recounting the history of the project, the District Secretary noted that the old Downtown Mission House, after 25 years of use, had become structurally unsafe and required urgent replacement. Through prayer, consultation, and member involvement, leadership developed plans for a single storey building accommodating two mission houses. Following a sod-cutting ceremony in April 2024, construction commenced in May 2024 under strict supervision.

The Peace Town Mission House project began after the creation of the Peace Town District during the 48th Council Meeting in May 2025, with construction starting promptly to house the new District Minister.

The ceremony was attended by ministers and their wives, traditional leaders, opinion leaders, and members from both Districts. Profound gratitude was expressed to Apostle William Kojo Edzorhoho and Mrs Lucy Dede Edzorhoho, as well as all committees, officers, artisans, and members whose collective efforts continue to drive the project forward.
