Apostle John Osei Amaniampong (retired) and family have donated GHS 20,000.00 towards The Church of Pentecost Chairman Education Foundation at the Pentecost University,
The donation was made during a retirement service held in honour of Apostle Amaniampong and his family yesterday at the Dr. Thomas Wyatt Memorial Temple.
Presenting the cheque donation, the retired minister remarked that, although his children’s education was always interrupted by his ministerial transfers, it did not have any adverse impact on their educational life as his seven children have all excelled academically,
“The family is, therefore, presenting this donation to COPCEF to thank God for His faithfulness towards us and our children,” he said.
The donation was received on behalf of the University by Apostle Prof. Peter Ohene Kyei (retired), a former rector of the institution.
The COPCEF is an education-support fund instituted by the Chairman of the Church, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, for needy but brilliant students.
In addition to internal scholarships, the foundation would support the University’s infrastructure and staff development and also boost Pentecost University’s ambition to become the university of choice in Africa and the world.
