Sefwi Kwamebikrom District To Construct Police Post

The Kwamebikrom District of The Church of Pentecost in the Essam-Debiso Area is constructing a police post at Kwamebikrom (KBK) to help improve security in the community and its environs.

The Essam-Debiso Area Head, Apostle Robert Kwabena Andoh, on November 27, 2020, cut the sod to begin the construction of the police post during a grand durbar/service held at the KBK Durbar Grounds to unveil the project as part of the 10th Anniversary Celebrations of the district.

Present to witness the ceremony were the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Bia West Constituency, Hon. Dr. Augustine Tawiah; the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bia West District, Hon. John Koah; the former DCE for the area, Hon. Alex Ofori; the Chief of Kwamebikrom, Nana Kwamebi III; the District Police Commander for Bia West and East, Superintendent Daniel Kwaw Teye, as well as the pastorate in the Essam-Debiso Area.

In an address, Apostle Andoh commended the KBK District for the initiative and pledged his readiness and that of the Area to support the project which, he said, is the church’s social and corporate responsibility towards the community.

There were fraternal greetings and goodwill messages from the Chief of KBK, the MP, DCE, as well as the clergy from sister churches.

Both the MP and the DCE promised to support the project with 100 bags of cement each. The MP also promised to provide 10 trips of sand.

The District Minister, Pastor Rexford Osei Kwame, on behalf of the members, thanked the past District Pastors and Area Heads for their hard work that has brought the KBK District to where it is now.

Pastor Osei Kwame took the opportunity to thank the chief and elders of KBK for donating a parcel of land for the project, and also commended the individuals and other stakeholders for their commitment towards the project.

The KBK District 10th Anniversary Celebrations started on November 23, and ended on November 29, 2020, under the theme, “Celebrating a Decade of God’s Glorious Care to His Church – Great is Thy Faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23).

It started with a Gospel and Music outdoor gathering on Wednesday, November 25 at the KBK Durbar Grounds featuring renowned musician Kwaku Gyasi, which yielded four souls.
