Mr. Daniel Kwabena Mantey, a journalist with Pent TV, a subsidiary of the Pent Media Centre, has been selected as a Fellow for the 2025/2026 Africa Extractives Media Fellowship (AEMF).
Mr. Mantey, who serves as a Co-Team Leader for the Documentary Unit of the Pent Media Centre, was chosen from over 300 applicants across the continent for the prestigious fellowship. The AEMF is organized by NewsWire Africa in partnership with the Australian Embassy and other supporting organizations.
The official unveiling of the selected fellows took place on Tuesday, 28th October 2025, at the Australian Embassy, where participants were formally introduced and briefed on the fellowship’s objectives.
The Africa Extractives Media Fellowship is a professional development programme designed to build the capacity of journalists reporting on Africa’s extractive industries, focusing on issues such as transparency, governance, environmental sustainability, and community impact.
Mr. Mantey’s selection reflects not only his growing influence in the field of media and storytelling but also the excellence and professionalism associated with The Church of Pentecost’s Pent Media Centre. His participation in the fellowship will further enhance Pent TV’s commitment to credible, responsible, and socially conscious journalism.
The Fellowship runs from October 2025 to April 2026, during which fellows will undergo training, mentorship, and collaborative projects with industry experts across Africa and beyond.
The Pent Media Centre congratulates Mr. Mantey on this remarkable achievement and prays for God’s continued guidance and wisdom as he represents the institution and The Church of Pentecost on this continental platform.
