The Sefwi-Bekwai Area of The Church of Pentecost has inaugurated the Ntrentreso District during a ceremony held on Friday, August 28, 2026, at the Sefwi-Aboanidua Church Auditorium.
The newly created district was carved out of the Sefwi-Bekwai Low Cost District as part of the Church’s efforts to strengthen its administrative and pastoral structures and enhance its ministry to members and communities.
The ceremony also featured a welcome service for the newly transferred District Minister, Pastor Nicholas Adimah, and his wife, Mrs Grace Armavie Adimah.
Pastor Adimah joins the Ntrentreso District from the Gia District in the Bolga Area, where he served for six years.
Speaking at the service, the Sefwi-Bekwai Area Head, Pastor Stephen Bonzoe, challenged Christians to become strong pillars in the Church and agents of positive transformation in society.
He spoke on the theme, “Why Are You Here? What Are You Doing There?” drawing lessons from 1 Samuel 17:26–29, where David encountered Goliath after being sent by his father to check on his brothers.
Pastor Bonzoe noted that David’s presence at the battlefield was not accidental, explaining that although his initial assignment appeared ordinary, God used the situation to position him for a significant purpose.
He encouraged believers to continually examine their purpose, assignment, attitude and impact wherever God has placed them, whether in their families, workplaces, churches or communities.
“Your location may be ordinary, but your assignment can be extraordinary,” he said, urging Christians not to allow criticism, discouragement or misunderstanding to distract them from their God-given responsibilities.
The Area Head further encouraged members to remain rooted in the word of God and demonstrate the transforming power of the Gospel through their conduct and influence.
He particularly urged the leadership and members of the new district to embrace their responsibility as pillars who would provide spiritual strength, stability and positive influence for the advancement of the Church’s mission.
The service was attended by Sefwi-Bekwai Area Executive Committee members, the Area Pastorate and their wives, officers and members from various districts, chiefs and elders from Sefwi-Aboanidua, traditional leaders, and representatives from the Sefwi-Wiawso Area.
