Christians have been admonished to allow the Holy Spirit to fill them in order to live the supernatural life.
The Walewale Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Evangelist Francis Yaw Adu, made the call in a sermon at the Gbingbani District on Friday, November 2, 2018, to climax the month-long celebration of the ‘Area Holy Ghost Month’ for the month of October.
Speaking on the topic, “Living the Supernatural Life” with 2 Corinthians 5:17 and 1 Samuel 10:6 as his anchor texts, the Area Head disclosed that there are certain experiences that make up the supernatural life.
According to him, to live the supernatural life, one needs to be baptized and continually filled with the Holy Spirit. He indicated that the supernatural life begins as a changed life in Jesus Christ, according to 2 Corinthians 5:17.
Evangelist Adu stressed that a carnal person cannot experience the supernatural life, because it takes a divine encounter for one to be changed into a new creature as evidenced in the life of Saul in 1 Samuel 10:6.
The Area Head led the members through prayers for them to experience the supernatural life Twenty-one persons were baptized in the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues for the first time. A woman with a swollen leg who could not walk for two months was healed instantly. Two other women were healed of hearing impairments. Several other members testified of miracles of various kinds.
Present at the service was the District Minister for Gbingbani, Overseer Emmanuel Kenin, and his wife, Abigail.
