The Teacher Mante District Minister of The Church of Pentecost in the Suhum Area, Pastor Jacob Asare, was adjudged the overall best graduating student at the Pentecost University College (PUC) during the University’s 10th Congregation held at Sowutuom in Accra on December 15, 2018.

Pastor Asare, who received the Rector’s Excellence Award, was also adjudged the overall best graduating student in Bachelor of Arts in Theology, and the overall best male graduating student.

The glamorous event which had the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as the special guest of honour, was graced by the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, who also doubles as the Chancellor of the University. Also present was the General Secretary, Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi, among others.

Delivering the valedictory speech on behalf of the 2018 Graduating Class, Pastor Asare acknowledged the unflinching support and encouragement received from the Executive Council of The Church of Pentecost, family members and other significant people in the University. “I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who have helped making our graduation today possible,” he stressed.

A total of 820 students graduated with Diplomas, Degrees and Masters certificates in various fields of study.

In an interview with Pentecost News, Pastor Jacob Asare expressed his indebtedness to the Almighty God for His abundant grace that saw him through a four-year successful study.

It will be recalled that during his ministerial formation training (diploma in theology course) at the Pentecost Theological Seminary in 2014, Pastor Asare passed with distinction.
