The Ho Area of The Church of Pentecost has donated assorted items to the Ho Prisons and the Ho Cured Lepers Village.
The donations took place separately on December 24, 2019, by the Area Missions Committee and the Area Evangelism Ministry, respectively.
The Area Missions Committee Chairman, Pastor Daniel Ntebi Napare, on behalf of the Area Head, Apostle Moses Ahiakor, led a delegation to present 500 copies of the New Testament Bible and 25 copies of the full Bible to the inmates and officers of the Ho Prisons respectively.
Receiving the Bibles, Assistant Chief Administrator of the Ho Prisons, Emmanuel Nii Aforto Tetteh, who stood in for the Prisons Director, was grateful to the church for the gifts and said the Bibles would be put to good use.
On his part, Pastor Napare urged both the officers and the inmates to make time and read the Bibles so as to develop a personal relationship with God.
The inmates at the time of the visit were made up of 484 males and 14 females.
At the Cured Lepers Village, the Evangelism Ministry also donated bags of maize and rice, yams, plantain, cooking oil, cakes, and toiletries to the cured lepers.
In a short exhortation, Overseer Frederick A. Agbevem, advised the cured lepers to do away with bitterness, stemming from their being ostracized and see themselves as precious in the sight of God.
The inmates were so grateful to the church for the donation.
