After 37 years of dedicated full-time ministry, Apostle John Appiah Aidoo has retired from active ministry in The Church of Pentecost, bringing to a close a distinguished ministerial journey marked by pastoral leadership, missionary service and significant contributions to the growth of the Church.
The retirement service, which was held on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the Dabaa Prayer Centre in the Abuakwa Area was chaired by the Pentecost Men’s Ministry (PEMEM) Director, Apostle Vincent Anane Tenteh.
The ceremony brought together ministers, their wives, church members, family, friends and well-wishers from Ghana and beyond. Among those present were Apostles Prof. Opoku Onyinah, Emmanuel Agyei Kwafo, Yaw Adjei-Kwarteng, Budu Tawiah and David Kankam Beditor, as well as several area heads.
During his 37 years in full-time ministry, Apostle Aidoo served as a district pastor in Nsuatre, Kibi and Kaneshie, and subsequently as Area Head in Techiman, Suame, La, Takoradi and Abuakwa. He also served as a missionary and National Head in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Preaching at the retirement service on the theme, “God’s Grace Is Sufficient for You,” based on 2 Corinthians 11 and Romans 3:24, Apostle Vincent Anane Tenteh urged Christians to depend continually on the grace of God.
He explained that Christianity should not be measured merely by what believers accomplish for God, but by what God accomplishes in and through them. Drawing from the Apostle Paul’s experiences, he said the successful completion of Apostle Aidoo’s 37 years of ministry was itself evidence of God’s sustaining grace.
He encouraged believers to trust God’s grace in every circumstance, noting that although they may not receive everything they desire, God’s grace remains sufficient to sustain them and help them fulfil their divine assignments.
