Members of the Maadoteng Local Assembly in the Samanbo District of the Wa Area of The Church of Pentecost have received a newly constructed church auditorium, generously funded by Dr Peter and Mrs Dorothy Debrah-Mensah of the United Kingdom.
The dedication of the facility, which took place on September 9, 2026, marked a significant milestone in the history of the assembly and brought immense joy to members and residents of the community.
Valued at GHS 172,359.00, the auditorium stands as a symbol of the couple’s commitment to God’s work and their passion for advancing the Kingdom through practical acts of service.
The facility was dedicated to the glory of God by Apostle Bernard Azizu Mohamed Abogorago, Wa Area Head, on behalf of the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr Eric Nyamekye. He was assisted by Pastor Kwame Adu, District Minister for Samanbo.
The dedication service was characterised by heartfelt thanksgiving and celebration as ministers, church leaders, members and invited guests gathered to witness the commissioning of the new place of worship.
Preaching on the theme, “Service to Man Is Service to God,” Apostle Abogorago drew inspiration from Matthew 25:40, reminding the congregation that service rendered to humanity is ultimately service rendered to God.
He outlined five key principles of Christian service: that serving others is a divine command; that every act of service is valued by God; that service should be rendered without the desire for human recognition; that genuine service requires sacrifice; and that God faithfully rewards those who serve Him.
According to the Wa Area Head, Christian service goes beyond words and must be demonstrated through practical acts of love, generosity and selflessness that bring glory to God and benefit others.
The generous contribution of Dr Peter and Mrs Dorothy Debrah-Mensah extends beyond the provision of a physical structure. The new auditorium will serve as a centre for worship, fellowship, prayer, discipleship and evangelism, providing a conducive environment for spiritual growth and nurturing future generations in the Christian faith.
The event was attended by ministers and their wives from the Wa Area, traditional leaders, church officers and members, who joined the Maadoteng Assembly in celebrating this remarkable achievement.
