Ministers Are Icons Of Holiness—Apostle Adjei-Kwarteng Asserts

The Ashanti Regional Coordinating Committee (RCC) Coordinator of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Yaw Adjei-Kwarteng, has made a passionate call on ministers and their wives to let their lives commensurate with the calling they have received to influence every sphere of their lives.

According to him, ministers are icons of holiness, which demands mobility of life, and there is the need to cease all impurity and sin.

Apostle Adjei-Kwarteng, who doubles as the Kwadaso Area Head and Executive Council member of the church, said this on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, to officially open the 2025 Ashanti Regional Ministers and Wives Conference at the Asokwa Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC) in Kumasi.

Revealing the rationale of the theme 2025, ‘Unleashed to Live a Life Worthy of Your Calling,’ he unveiled the overarching theme of the church, highlighting that it is the influential factor where the world will be inspired with Kingdom values and principles.

‘The theme was chosen to buttress the understanding that the church has been equipped in the last five years and is ready to be unleashed to transform the world with principles and values of the kingdom.

‘This is to strategically unleash the vast potentials of the church to transform the world and bring many to the saving knowledge of Christ,’ he added.

Expounding the anchor text of the theme, Ephesians 4:1, 1 Thessalonians 4:7, and Galatians 1:24, the RCC Coordinator admonished ministers and their wives to understand their calling and inhabit it, for ‘by living a life worthy of our calling, then there can be glory in the church, any society, or community we enter; you and I must be factors of transformation.’

He admonished that being called to lead the flock of God is an upgrade of one’s calling, and caution must be exercised to refrain from associating oneself with the world. He further urged them to display financial integrity and moral excellence to make the church lovely and beautiful to be looked upon.

According to him, having been sanctified and made holy, it is incumbent on everyone to live a holy life.

On the way forward, he encouraged them ‘to teach our members that the vocation they find themselves in is the ministry they have received’ and discourage the idea that the kingdom work only happens in the church settings but everywhere they find themselves.

14 Areas in the Ashanti Region are participating in the 2025 MWC with over 600 ministers and wives, including Area Heads and ministerial students in full participation.

Embody Christian Virtues – Apostle Denteh To Believers

The Director of the Pentecost Men’s Ministry (PEMEM), Apostle Vincent Anane Denteh, has called on ministers and church leaders to embody the Christian virtues to influence their spheres for Christ.

Elaborating on the 2025 theme of The Church of Pentecost, ‘Unleashed to Live a Life Worthy of Your Calling’ rooted in Ephesians 4:1, 1 Thessalonians 4:7, and Galatians 1:24, he emphasised the church’s mission to transform society by embodying Christian virtues in all aspects of life.

The PEMEM Director explained this at the opening session of the Greater Accra Regional Ministers and Wives Conference being held at the Pentecost Convention Centre, Gomoa-Fetteh.

‘Building upon the foundation laid by Vision 2023, which focused on equipping the church, Vision 2028 aims to mobilise members to actively engage and transform their communities,’ he said.

Apostle Denteh, a member of the Executive Council, revealed that believers are called to be ambassadors for Christ, influencing every sphere of society with godly values and principles.

He referenced Acts 1:8, highlighting that Christians have been endowed with divine power to effect significant transformation in society.

This empowerment, according to him, calls for self-denial and sacrifice, aligning one’s life with God’s will and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide both personal conduct and ministry.

He explained that to be ‘unleashed’ means to realise one’s full potential in Christ.

He encouraged believers to return to their communities, exemplify a lifestyle that leads others to glorify God, and integrate their professions and vocations into their divine assignments.

‘By doing so, Christians can serve as salt and light in society, contributing to the holistic transformation envisioned in Vision 2028,’ he said.PENT NEWS

The Change In Us Must Be Tangible – Christians Charged

The transformation (change) in every believer’s life must be both tangible and visible to the world, Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, the General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, has urged.

He made this assertion today during a presentation on the rationale behind the 2025 theme at the opening session of the Ministers and Wives Conference for the Volta and Oti regions in Ho.

Speaking on the theme “Unleashed to Live a Life Worthy of Your Calling,” Apostle Obuobi highlighted the profound transformation seen in the life of Apostle Paul after his conversion to Christianity.

He emphasized that such a change should be clearly evident, referencing Galatians 4:1 to underscore that Paul’s conversion was so visible that it could not be denied.

“Until we reach a point where people can see the changes in us and give glory to God, we have not fully arrived,” he stated.

Apostle Obuobi also reminded the gathered ministers and wives that the Church’s mission extends beyond the transformation of individual lives; it also encompasses the transformation of society as a whole.

He urged them to ensure that every member is familiar with key Scripture passages supporting the theme for this year, specifically Ephesians 4:1, 1 Thessalonians 4:7, and Galatians 1:24.

Expounding on Ephesians 4:1, Apostle Obuobi referenced Chapter 3, where the Apostle Paul prays for God’s glory to remain in the church from one generation to the next. He stressed that for this to happen, believers must live lives worthy of their calling.

Drawing from Ezekiel 10:18 and 11:22-23, he warned that the glory of God can be lost in a generation and, thus, challenged ministers and their wives to guard against this within The Church of Pentecost.

Apostle Obuobi also reminded them that their calling is both a heavenly and holy one, demanding that they live in accordance with the life worthy of the calling they have received.

Deepen Your Relationship With God – Apostle Arhin Advises Ministers

The Western Regional Coordinating Committee (RCC) Coordinator of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Sylvester Arhin, has admonished ministers and their wives to use this year’s Ministers and Wives Conference to deepen their relationship with the Lord.

This, he said, will help them to be more focused on the assignment God has bestowed on them in the year through fasting, prayer, and sharing of the word of God.

Giving his welcome address to officially open the Western Regional RCC Ministers and Wives Conference for ministers in the Western and Western North Regions at the Akroma Plaza Hotel in Takoradi on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, Apostle Arhin was convinced that the Lord will equip and unleash participants with His unmatched power to possess the nations for Christ.

‘Brothers and sisters in the Lord, we are more than convinced that the Lord has prepared His servants to feed us with Himself as we stay under His feet. We are also convinced that the Holy Spirit is here with us to break, mould, build, strengthen, and empower us for the business of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.’

He added: ‘Therefore, I encourage you to relax and be comforted in the warm presence of the Lord and receive from Him all that He has prepared for you in this conference.’

Apostle Arhin, who doubles as the Takoradi Area Head and Executive Council member of the church, was sure that the participants would be unleashed to live lives worthy of their callings after the conference.

The Western RCC is made up of 10 administrative areas, namely Takoradi, Sekondi, Tarkwa, Asankrangwa, Bogoso, Axim, Essam-Debiso, Sefwi Wiawso, Sefwi Bekwai, and Sefwi Juaboso, with 241 districts. Absolute Holiness Is Possible - Apostle Samuel Obuobi web

Absolute Holiness Is Possible – Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi

Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, the General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, has called on Christians to pursue absolute holiness and reject any doctrine that suggests otherwise. He emphasized that holiness is a non-negotiable trait for every believer, and it should be understood as an attainable goal.

He made these remarks during his presentation on the rationale behind the 2025 theme at the opening session of the Ministers and Wives Conference for the Volta and Oti Regions, currently ongoing at PIWC Ho.

Quoting Ezekiel 43:12, Apostle Obuobi affirmed that Christians are called to lead holy lives, explaining, “The law of the Lord’s temple, which is your body, is absolute holiness.”

He stressed that believers must not focus excessively on the weaknesses inherited from the Adamic nature but instead, focus on the life they have received through faith in Christ— a life capable of living in purity.

Apostle Obuobi further emphasized that there must be a visible distinction between a believer’s former life and the new life in Christ. This transformation should be evident to the world.

Referring to Apostle Paul, he noted that people glorified God because they saw the clear transformation in his life.

Quoting 1 Thessalonians 4:7, one of the main texts of the 2025 theme, he explained that the same man who had once persecuted Christians was now publicly advocating for the faith. This dramatic change led people to praise God.

“We must reach a point where others can clearly see the change in our lives. Until this is achieved, we have not yet reached the mark,” he said.

He added, “The change in Apostle Paul’s life was undeniable, which is why people glorified God. Similarly, our lives should reflect such transformation, and others should give glory to God.”

Apostle Obuobi encouraged all members to strive for righteousness and holiness, stressing that this is one of the key ways to ensure the glory of God remains within the Church for generations to come.

Walk In The Power—General Secretary Charges Believers

The General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, has revealed that God’s intention is for all believers to walk in the demonstration of His power.

He asserts that this empowerment is available to everyone who believes, not just those in positions of authority.

He made this statement during a sermon he delivered on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC) – Asokwa, Kumasi, titled ‘Empowered by the Spirit for the Unleashing Agenda: Barriers to the Power’ during the climax of the 14-day Global Fasting and Prayer event declared by the Chairman of the Church, Apostle Eric Nyamekye.

Apostle Obuobi highlighted that the Kingdom of God is one of power, and walking in this power is crucial for the success of the ‘Possessing the Nations’ agenda.

He referenced Acts 8:6-7, noting that the early Church attracted attention through both their words and the demonstration of God’s power.

He cited Acts 17:6-7, illustrating how early Christians turned the world upside down by manifesting this power.‘The promise of this power, as stated in Acts 2:39, is for everyone,’ he hinted.

He stressed that being close to God is essential for demonstrating His power.

Quoting Mark 3:13-15, he pointed out that the ability to preach and cast out demons is conditioned upon being with the Lord.

He urged believers to walk with Jesus daily, as exemplified in Acts 4:13, where the apostles’ boldness was attributed to their close relationship with Christ.

Apostle Obuobi emphasised that sacrifices are necessary to experience God’s power.

He referenced Hebrews 11:26-27, highlighting Moses’ willingness to forsake earthly titles and positions, and Daniel 1:8, where Daniel chose to avoid defilement.

He stated, ‘Until we get to the point when we are ready to make sacrifices unto the Lord, we are not ready to see His power at work in us.

’The General Secretary encouraged believers to cultivate a constant and close fellowship with God and to make the necessary sacrifices to unleash His power in their lives.

He assured that anyone who stands with the Lord will find the Lord standing with them.

Present at the service were Apostle Peter Kofi Dzemekey (Asokwa Area Head), Pastor Emmanuel Yirebi (Resident Minister, PIWC Asokwa), and Pastor Professor William Oto Ellis (retd), among others.

Kpasenkpe District Fetes 75 Widows

In a colourful event organised by the Kpasenkpe District of The Church of Pentecost, 75 widows were feted by the church to end the 2024 Christmas season.

The event, held at the Kpasenkpe Central Assembly church building, was intended to put smiles on the faces of the widows and demonstrate the love of Christ to them.

The District Minister, Pastor Ernest Kojo Akorli, speaking on the theme: ‘Widowed but not Forsaken,’ emphasised that the love of Christ must be extended to all people, especially the needy, the marginalised, and all unreached people groups.

Reading from Psalm 27:10, he stressed that widows go through a lot of rejection, pain, and ill-treatment, but the Lord loves them.

Pastor Akorli added that taking care of needy widows is the responsibility of family members and the church. He stressed that it is expected of widows to remain committed to the Lord and play exemplary roles in nurturing the younger generations. He also advised Christian widows to be cautious of cultural widowhood practices that are contrary to the Christian faith.

He concluded by saying, ‘Let us be careful of how we treat widows and widowers in society; for anyone at all can be in that state at any moment in life. No one chooses to be a widow or a widower; it is one of the inevitable stages of marriage.’

Each of the widows received a piece of cloth (donated by the Women’s Ministry of the church in Birmingham, UK) and a hot lunch pack. Those who could not attend due to old age had their packages sent to them at home. The food was sponsored by Elder Samuel Dadzie from PIWC Ablekuma in Accra, Elder Prince Adinkra Nyamekye of South Suntreso District in Kumasi, Miss Joanna Agyekum Saah, Mrs Josephine Haizel, and the district minister and his wife.

The programme ended in a joyful moment of feasting and dancing to melodious yuletide tunes. The widows’ conference, initiated by the district minister, has become an annual programme, out of which souls won for Christ have remained in the church.

Life-Saving Intervention: How COP Medical Team Saved Mother, Baby

On December 28, 2024, a remarkable act of compassion and medical intervention took place in Amedzrovi, a remote village in the Yapei Kusawgu District of Ghana’s Savannah Region.

During the medical outreach organised by the Evangelism Ministry of The Church of Pentecost, a young mother and her newborn were saved from a life-threatening situation.

The young mother, identified as Adjo James Adator, faced severe complications after giving birth on her way to the clinic. She was being transported on a motor tricycle but had to return home due to the distance and the urgency of the situation.

Shortly after delivery, she experienced severe postpartum hemorrhaging. With no ambulance available and the nearest health facility over an hour and a half away, the situation was critical.

Providentially, the Church’s medical outreach team was in the village conducting a film evangelism programme. The team, led by Elder Dr Ken Aboah, was alerted about the emergency situation at  about 10:30 PM. Upon arriving at the scene, the mother was found in hemorrhagic shock with a dangerously low blood pressure of 77/35 mmHg and a rapid pulse of 121 beats per minute.

Despite limited resources, the dedicated team, comprising five medical doctors, an anesthetist, a midwife, and a neonatal specialist, worked tirelessly to stabilise both the mother and baby. After providing initial care, the team transported the mother to Yapei Polyclinic in their bus.

At the clinic, the team collaborated with the facility’s staff to address the complications, including a cervical tear and retained products of conception. The mother was severely anemic with a hemoglobin level of 8.5.

Dr Aboah personally intervened to secure a unit of blood for her transfusion,  while the team paid her medical expenses, donated GH₵500.00 to her, and provided a full piece of cloth to her family.

The baby, cared for by the neonatal specialist, was also stabilised, ensuring the safety of both mother and child.

Reflecting on the experience, Dr Aboah remarked, ‘It was truly the hand of God at work. Every member of the team played a vital role, and we are grateful to have been there to save her life.’

The outreach also yielded spiritual fruits, as the team ministered the gospel to the community, leading to the salvation of 93 people – 42 adults, 51 children, and five Fulani individuals – accepting Christ.

Apostle Oboubi Provides Overview Of 2025 Theme web

Apostle Obuobi Provides Overview Of 2025 Theme

The General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, has given an overview of the 2025 theme of the church.

He did this as part of his Apostolic visitation to the Mountain View Worship Centre in the Kasoa Area on Sunday, January 12, 2025.

Apostle Obuobi delivered the sermon highlighting the church’s theme for the year: ‘Unleashed to Live a Life Worthy of Your Calling.’ The theme is rooted in Ephesians 4:1, Galatians 1:24 and 1 Thessalonians 4:7

He explained that the theme aims to guide the church towards achieving its broader Vision 2028, which focuses on ‘Possessing the Nations.’

In his sermon, Apostle Obuobi stated the importance of living a life that reflects one’s divine calling, which is not limited to full-time ministry but encompasses all aspects of life as Christians transition from darkness into the light of God’s kingdom.

He stated: ‘Once we were in the kingdom of darkness but by the saving grace, we have been brought into the kingdom of light.’

He emphasised that every believer has a role to play in manifesting God’s glory.

He referenced Ephesians chapters 3 and 4 to illustrate Apostle Paul’s desire for God’s glory to remain with the church across generations.

He warned against complacency, noting that it is possible for a generation to lose this glory if they do not live according to their calling, citing Ezekiel 10:18 as a historical example of God’s glory departing from His people.

The sermon also delved into two perspectives of the Christian calling: a heavenly call and a call unto holiness. The heavenly call, according to him, is described as a privilege that transcends social status or academic achievement, while the call unto holiness emphasises living a life that reflects God’s righteousness.

Apostle Obuobi asserted that ‘holiness means living out the God kind of life,’ urging believers to embody love and faithfulness in their daily lives.

The General Secretary challenged believers to ensure that their lifestyles lead others to glorify God, similar to how Paul’s transformation inspired others.

He stated: ‘Until we get to the level where people will glorify God because of our lifestyles, we have not reached anywhere.’

He concluded his sermon by encouraging all Christians to view their professional lives as part of their ministry, saying that every occupation—whether in business, healthcare, education, or any other field—serves as an opportunity to reflect God’s grace and impact society positively.

He, therefore, urged believers not to separate their faith from their everyday activities but rather integrate it fully into their lives.
