Bawku Area Records 2,332 Souls During Aggressive Evangelism Month

The Bawku Area of The Church of Pentecost achieved a significant milestone by recording 2,332 souls during the recently observed Aggressive Evangelism Month last November.

The initiative, dubbed the ‘One Member; One Discipled Soul (1M1DS) project,’ aimed at encouraging members to engage in aggressive evangelism exercises to lead many into the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

The project was officially launched by the Area head, Pastor Eric Gyacham, on October 24, 2023, at the Area level. District ministers and presiding leaders were also tasked to replicate the same at their respective districts and local assemblies.

During the launch, the Area Head outlined various strategies for the exercise and encouraged ministers and leaders to teach and encourage all their members to be involved.

Particular emphasis was placed on house-to-house and personal evangelism. Smaller groups within the assemblies were created and tasked to carry out this form of evangelism.

Members were also encouraged to intentionally identify and build friendships with unbelievers and ultimately lead them to Christ.

Proper records were kept for weekly monitoring and evaluations. Individuals who performed well were identified and appreciated to serve as motivation to others.

Additionally, prayers were raised across all locals for this exercise weekly.

The success of the 1M1DS project in the Bawku Area underscores the dedication and commitment of the church community to fulfilling its vision of winning souls for God.

Blessed be the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of the harvest, for granting the Church this massive yield.

According to the leadership of the Area, pragmatic efforts are underway to disciple the converts into full membership.

The crusades took place across the three zones of the Area.

The first crusade of the year took place at Bansi Town Square from February 1 to 3, 2023, recording 74 souls, including 21 children, of whom 42 were baptised in water.

Exactly a month later, a three-day crusade was held at Apondabogo town from March 1 to 4, 2023, successfully recording a total of 129 adult souls, while 64 children accepted Christ. All the adult souls underwent water baptism.

From September 27 to 29, the Area organised another crusade at Takore in the Songo District, winning a total of 116 souls (85 adults and 31 children). Fifty of the adult souls were successfully baptised in water, with 24 receiving Holy Spirit baptism.

In 2023, the Bawku Area, through its crusades, won 929 souls (including 290 children), with 423 of the new converts undergoing water baptism.

Additionally, numerous spectacular events were recorded at the various crusades to the glory of God.

The Church of Pentecost remains committed to the core mandate of evangelism as it rigorously pursues the Great Commission. By the grace of God, the efforts of the church have not been fruitless, as many have been led to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

The gift of salvation that Christ offers is available to all who believe and accept Him as Lord and personal Saviour.

You can also do the same by saying this simple prayer:

“Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead for my justification. I turn from my sins and invite you to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow you as my Lord and Saviour.”

If you have sincerely said this prayer, then you are Born Again. Please find any branch of The Church of Pentecost nearby or any Bible-believing church to learn more about your newfound faith.

16 Receive Instant Healing On Day 1 Of The Offinso for Christ Crusade web

16 Receive Instant Healing On Day 1 Of The “Offinso for Christ” Crusade

The much-anticipated crusade in the Offinso Area of The Church of Pentecost, Offinso for Christ Crusade, dubbed “Gospel and Healing Crusade,” has taken off smoothly, with 16 people receiving instant healing.

The four-day crusade began on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, with over 650 people attending both first and second services at the Offinso Newtown Assembly of The Church of Pentecost.

Speaking at the event, the Offinso Area Head, Apostle Samuel Edzii Davidson, advised the congregants to present their bodies as a living sacrifice unto the Lord.

Elaborating on the theme, “The God Of Fire,” Apostle Davidson revealed that since our God is a consuming fire, we must catch that fire as children of God to become Classical Pentecostal Firebrand Christians.

One way of doing that, he noted, is presenting ourselves as a living sacrifice unto the Lord (Romans 12:1&2).

Touching on the theme of the event, he disclosed that God, being a consuming fire, burns all negativities and bondages in our lives such as the bondage of iniquity, bondage of passivity, bondage of timidity, and bondage of infirmity.

Quoting Malachi 4:2, Apostle Davidson hinted that “Jesus is the fire of righteousness, so if the name of Jesus is believed and mentioned with faith, our infirmities will be consumed by fire.”

During the event, 16 people received instant healing from various ailments, as many others were touched by the Holy Spirit during the prayers led by the Area Head. To the glory of God, five souls were won and baptised in water.

The Offinso Crusade is jointly organised by the Offinso Area and Soul Partners International, United States of America.

In attendance today were: Mrs. Winnifred Edzii Davidson (Wife of the Area Head), Pastor George Kyeremanteng (Area Secretary), Apostle Joseph Gyemfi (Elohim Charismatic Ministry), and Offinso GPCC Organising Secretary, as well as the Area pastorate and their wives.

La Area Targets 1,500 Souls In 1M1D Soul Project

The La Area of The Church of Pentecost seeks to win 1,500 souls for Christ in the One Member, One Discipled Soul (1M1D) project scheduled between November and December this year.

Apostle Dr Dieudonne Komla Nuekpe, La Area Head and Executive Council Member of The Church of Pentecost, revealed this during the launch of the church’s evangelistic drive at the Dr Thomas Wyatt Memorial Temple (Accra Newtown Zone) on Sunday, October 29.

The event, attended by the Chairman of the Church, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, was held simultaneously in other Zonal Centres in La Area.

Taking Scripture references from Jude 1:7, 23 as well as Revelation 20:14 and 15, Apostle Dr Nuekpe reiterated the urgency to reclaim certain people who are wavering in the faith, growing cold in their love for God and snatching others from hell through whatever way possible.

Apostle Dr Nuekpe emphasised the need to trumpet that Jesus Christ is the only accredited Saviour of the world. He alone is accredited to save humanity from eternal damnation.

He further charged believers to pray for the Holy Spirit to baptise the souls that would be won so that they would be firmly established in Christ.

The Area Head implored members to harness dawn broadcasting, rallies, campaigns, hospital visitations, visits to bus stations and beaches, and using traditional and other social media platforms to make the evangelistic drive a success.

Also in attendance were Apostle Prof Peter Ohene Kyei (Rtd), former Rector of the Pentecost University, Mrs Mary Nyamekye, wife of the Chairman, the pastorate in La Area and their wives.

Man On the Brink Of Suicide Surrenders To Christ At “Jesus Saves Crusade” web

Man On the Brink Of Suicide Surrenders To Christ At “Jesus Saves Crusade”

In a remarkable turn of events, a man teetering on the edge of suicide found salvation in Christ during the concluding day of the “Jesus Saves Crusade,” organised by the Darkuman District in the Kaneshie Area of The Church of Pentecost.

On the final day of the three-day crusade held at the Darkuman Circle station, a man, later identified as Nana Poku Serebour, courageously stepped forward during the altar call to surrender his life to Christ.

Before embracing Christ as his Lord and Saviour, Nana Poku Serebour handed over a “Rapid Rat Killer” to the Church elders, revealing his intent to end his life that very evening due to the overwhelming struggles he faced.

He expressed being an ex-convict, left homeless and jobless, with no connections to his family.

Nana Poku Serebour lamented his dire circumstances, citing profound suffering and a loss of hope in life as reasons for contemplating suicide. In a desperate act, he obtained a lethal substance with the intent to consume it in a hidden location.

However, the transformative power of the Crusade intervened. Upon hearing the word of God and engaging with compassionate brethren, Nana Poku Serebour had a change of heart, choosing to surrender his life to Christ.

Counselors provided additional guidance on Christ and salvation, helping him understand the profound significance of this decision.

The church leadership, moved by his plight, assured Nana Poku Serebour that they would support him in finding solace under the protection of God, providing assistance to rebuild his life and become a valuable member of society.

The man was overjoyed and grateful for his new life. He thanked God and the church for saving him from death and despair.

“Jesus Is Our True Helper” – Apostle Tetteh Juddah Tells Christians

The Odorkor Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Isaac Tetteh Juddah, has urged Christians to continue looking up to Jesus, especially in times of trouble, because He is the true helper of humankind.

Apostle Tetteh Juddah said this today when he exhorted congregants during the morning session of the ongoing “Tema-Ashaiman for Christ” Crusade at the James McKeown Memorial Temple in Ashaiman.

Using Psalm 21 as his foundational text, the Odorkor Area Head mentioned that in the days of old, people used to look up to the mountains for help, and in contemporary times, people resort to all sorts of things, including anointing oils.

He, however, stressed that the only true helper of men remains Jesus Christ. According to him, although people deploy security men to guard them, that is not enough, asking, “Can they protect you spiritually?”

“Blessed is the one who makes the Lord his protector because He puts His angels in charge of you,” he added.

Apostle Tetteh Juddah further noted that God is the creator of the world and everything in it, and therefore, He is the one who truly knows what one’s needs are.

“He’s the God of History. He knows your beginning and ending. His thoughts towards you are good,” he stated.

Quoting Psalm 121:7-8, he emphasized that God is a true helper because He has sworn to be the helper of His people even in times of trouble.

He, therefore, urged Christians to consciously make Jesus their helper since they stand to gain more from God’s powerful help (Psalm 121:1-2), providential help (Psalm 121:3-4), personal help, and perennial help.

140  Souls Won During Second Day Of “Tema-Ashaiman For Christ” Crusade

The heavens echoed with joy as 140 individuals surrendered their lives to Christ during the ongoing Tema-Ashaiman for Christ gospel crusade last night.

The event, hosted at the Nii Oninku Park (Tema Community 1), continues to set remarkable records, boasting an attendance of over 6000 participants.

Preaching at the event, Apostle James Asare, the Kasoa Area Head, emphasised that true satisfaction can only be found in Christ Jesus. He highlighted that many have attempted to discover fulfillment through avenues such as alcohol, drugs, material possessions, money, and pleasure, all in vain.

Apostle Asare stressed that those seeking satisfaction in temporary pleasures are ultimately at a loss. He contrasted this with the eternal and lasting life that Jesus offers.

In a passionate appeal, he called on everyone to embrace the life offered by Jesus for a more meaningful existence.

He assured them that just as the prodigal son was wholeheartedly received by his father on his return, God is also ever ready to welcome them home through faith in Christ Jesus.

Following the sermon, an altar call resulted in 140 individuals, including 29 children, surrendering their lives to Christ. Additionally, 21 backslidden Christians rededicated themselves to Christ.

In a testament to God’s glory, 96 of the new converts underwent water baptism on the same day, with 36 of them also receiving the Holy Spirit baptism.
