292 Students Accept Christ During Apeguso SHS Outreach

Two hundred and ninety-two students of Apeguso Senior High School surrendered their lives to Christ during a three-day outreach organised by the Schools Outreach Ministry of Apeguso District in the Agormanya Area of The Church of Pentecost.

The event, which started on Friday, February 9, and concluded on Sunday, February 11, 2024, featured Morning Devotion, Dawn Broadcast, Gospel Presentation, Purity and Leadership Seminars, Movie Night, and Celebration Service.

Held under the theme, “The Enabling Power of Christ for Academic Excellence” (Philippians 4:13; John 15:5; 2 Timothy 1:7), the event focused on equipping students holistically and unleashing them for excellence.

Speaking on the theme, “Keys to Excellence and Fulfilment in Life: the Case of Daniel” on the opening day of the event, Pastor Clement Amankwa, the Apeguso District Minister, revealed that true fulfilment in life is premised on peace with God, which is possible through conversion and the New Birth. In response to the gospel, 167 students gave their lives to Christ.

An altar call made on Saturday, February 10, in the aftermath of a Movie Documentary on the reality of Heaven and Hell, saw 125 persons surrendering their lives to Christ and 80 others rededicating their lives.

Among the new converts was the daughter of a Fetish Priest. She was responsible for beating drums at the Shrine and had the chance to attend church for the first time. She responded to the gospel in tears and requested to be baptised in water.

Another student confessed that she was chosen to replace the fetish priest in her hometown and felt she had been liberated through the prayer sessions and, thus, surrendered her life to Christ.

Several students testified to their willingness to reform and yield their lives to Christ after the Seminar on ‘Breaking Free from Addiction’ held on Saturday afternoon.

Over 700 persons attended the program, including Mrs. Victoria Asabea Badoo, the Headmistress; Rev. Samuel Gadasu, a teacher and a pastor with Light House Chapel; Ps. Joseph Nickson; Elder Daniel Lomo, a teacher and the District Secretary; Elder Benedict Foley, District SOM Coordinator; teaching and non-teaching staff and students of Apeguso Senior High School.

John Aidoo, a deacon of The Church of Pentecost in the Kuntanse District of the Agona Swedru Area, single-handedly won 55 souls for Christ in 2023, making him the highest soul winner in the Area.

The Agona Swedru Area Secretary of the Church, Pastor George Osei-Asiedu, disclosed this during the Area’s 2023 End-of-Year Presbytery Meeting held recently in Swedru.

The commitment of Deacon Aidoo to soul-winning moved the Area Head, Apostle Derek Kwaning Mireku, to instantly ordain him as an Elder of the Church at the meeting.

With the support of his District Minister, Pastor Charles Boateng Asante, all 55 new converts have been baptised by immersion.

Apostle Mireku, upon assumption of office, introduced award systems to honour members who commit themselves to soul-winning and other key performance indicators.

Evangelism Is Key To Achieving The Possessing The Nations Agenda – Apostle Otu-Nyarko

The Twifo Praso Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Lawrence Otu-Nyarko, has asserted that embarking on aggressive evangelism is paramount because it is the key to helping the church achieve the ‘Possessing the Nations’ agenda.

According to him, evangelism is the core mandate of every Christian, so there is the need to look at it critically, for without it, people will die and suffer eternal banishment from the presence of God.

“You have the message and all the power backing you to rescue the perishing. The salvation message to a lost soul has been given to you, so preach it without fear,” he said, adding, “You have been commissioned to preach the gospel. Preach it to whoever you come into contact with. Remember that you have been discipled to make others disciples of Christ.

Apostle Otu-Nyarko said this when launching the Twifo Praso Area 2023 One Member, One Discipled Soul campaign, which came off at Twifo Praso Asikafo Assembly church auditorium on Sunday, November 5, 2023.

Reading from Matthew 28:18-20 and Rom.10:9-15, Apostle Otu-Nyarko spoke on the topic: “Repositioned to go and tell.”

As part of the project, members embarked on personal evangelism, street evangelism, breakfast meetings, and rallies.

Present at the launching ceremony were Mrs Doris Otu-Nyarko (wife of the Area Head), Ministry Leaders and their executives, and the Area pastorate and their spouses.

In a programme, dubbed “Ministers and Wives Rally & Carols Service,” under the theme: “Remember those in Prison” (Hebrews 13:3a), a team of about 84 ministers and wives, ministries executives, and some Area office holders stormed the Navrongo prisons on Friday afternoon with the Gospel message of Christ.

The team with support from the 32 districts in the Area also treated the 191 inmates to a hot lunch and donated foodstuffs and provisions to the tune of GHS 20,985.00 to them.

According to the Area Head, Apostle David Amankwaa, the act was motivated by the Church’s Vision 2028, which seeks to unleash its ministers and members to transform their sphere of influence with Kingdom principles and values.

He said that Scripture admonishes Christians to visit those in prisons, and in doing that you have done it for the Lord.

The Officer-in-Charge, DSP Oscar Piuyire, expressed their profound gratitude to the Bolga Area for the kind gesture and usual support to the prisons.

Bawku Area Records 2,332 Souls During Aggressive Evangelism Month

The Bawku Area of The Church of Pentecost achieved a significant milestone by recording 2,332 souls during the recently observed Aggressive Evangelism Month last November.

The initiative, dubbed the ‘One Member; One Discipled Soul (1M1DS) project,’ aimed at encouraging members to engage in aggressive evangelism exercises to lead many into the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

The project was officially launched by the Area head, Pastor Eric Gyacham, on October 24, 2023, at the Area level. District ministers and presiding leaders were also tasked to replicate the same at their respective districts and local assemblies.

During the launch, the Area Head outlined various strategies for the exercise and encouraged ministers and leaders to teach and encourage all their members to be involved.

Particular emphasis was placed on house-to-house and personal evangelism. Smaller groups within the assemblies were created and tasked to carry out this form of evangelism.

Members were also encouraged to intentionally identify and build friendships with unbelievers and ultimately lead them to Christ.

Proper records were kept for weekly monitoring and evaluations. Individuals who performed well were identified and appreciated to serve as motivation to others.

Additionally, prayers were raised across all locals for this exercise weekly.

The success of the 1M1DS project in the Bawku Area underscores the dedication and commitment of the church community to fulfilling its vision of winning souls for God.

Blessed be the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of the harvest, for granting the Church this massive yield.

According to the leadership of the Area, pragmatic efforts are underway to disciple the converts into full membership.

The crusades took place across the three zones of the Area.

The first crusade of the year took place at Bansi Town Square from February 1 to 3, 2023, recording 74 souls, including 21 children, of whom 42 were baptised in water.

Exactly a month later, a three-day crusade was held at Apondabogo town from March 1 to 4, 2023, successfully recording a total of 129 adult souls, while 64 children accepted Christ. All the adult souls underwent water baptism.

The Bugri crusade saw 38 adults surrendering their lives to Christ, with two undergoing water baptism. Nineteen children were also won for Christ. Despite low water baptism due to religious inhibitions, 47 souls experienced the power of God, speaking in tongues during this crusade.

On the other hand, the Zebilla crusade recorded 53 souls, including 15 children. Thirty-three of the adult souls underwent water baptism.

From September 27 to 29, the Area organised another crusade at Takore in the Songo District, winning a total of 116 souls (85 adults and 31 children). Fifty of the adult souls were successfully baptised in water, with 24 receiving Holy Spirit baptism.

In 2023, the Bawku Area, through its crusades, won 929 souls (including 290 children), with 423 of the new converts undergoing water baptism.

Additionally, numerous spectacular events were recorded at the various crusades to the glory of God.

The Church of Pentecost remains committed to the core mandate of evangelism as it rigorously pursues the Great Commission. By the grace of God, the efforts of the church have not been fruitless, as many have been led to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

The gift of salvation that Christ offers is available to all who believe and accept Him as Lord and personal Saviour.

You can also do the same by saying this simple prayer:

“Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead for my justification. I turn from my sins and invite you to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow you as my Lord and Saviour.”

If you have sincerely said this prayer, then you are Born Again. Please find any branch of The Church of Pentecost nearby or any Bible-believing church to learn more about your newfound faith.

16 Receive Instant Healing On Day 1 Of The Offinso for Christ Crusade web

16 Receive Instant Healing On Day 1 Of The “Offinso for Christ” Crusade

The much-anticipated crusade in the Offinso Area of The Church of Pentecost, Offinso for Christ Crusade, dubbed “Gospel and Healing Crusade,” has taken off smoothly, with 16 people receiving instant healing.

The four-day crusade began on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, with over 650 people attending both first and second services at the Offinso Newtown Assembly of The Church of Pentecost.

Speaking at the event, the Offinso Area Head, Apostle Samuel Edzii Davidson, advised the congregants to present their bodies as a living sacrifice unto the Lord.

Elaborating on the theme, “The God Of Fire,” Apostle Davidson revealed that since our God is a consuming fire, we must catch that fire as children of God to become Classical Pentecostal Firebrand Christians.

One way of doing that, he noted, is presenting ourselves as a living sacrifice unto the Lord (Romans 12:1&2).

Touching on the theme of the event, he disclosed that God, being a consuming fire, burns all negativities and bondages in our lives such as the bondage of iniquity, bondage of passivity, bondage of timidity, and bondage of infirmity.

Quoting Malachi 4:2, Apostle Davidson hinted that “Jesus is the fire of righteousness, so if the name of Jesus is believed and mentioned with faith, our infirmities will be consumed by fire.”

During the event, 16 people received instant healing from various ailments, as many others were touched by the Holy Spirit during the prayers led by the Area Head. To the glory of God, five souls were won and baptised in water.

The Offinso Crusade is jointly organised by the Offinso Area and Soul Partners International, United States of America.

In attendance today were: Mrs. Winnifred Edzii Davidson (Wife of the Area Head), Pastor George Kyeremanteng (Area Secretary), Apostle Joseph Gyemfi (Elohim Charismatic Ministry), and Offinso GPCC Organising Secretary, as well as the Area pastorate and their wives.
