“Togo For Christ” Crusade Records 3555 Souls!

The massive weeklong crusade held from July 16 to 20, 2024, at Adidogome Park in Lome, Togo, resulted in 3555 people coming into the saving knowledge of Christ.

The event, dubbed the “Togo for Christ” crusade, was jointly organized by the International Missions Directorate, the Evangelism Ministry Directorate, and The Church of Pentecost International, Togo.

Themed “Jesus Saves and Heals” (Acts 4:12), the four-day event lived up to expectations, drawing mammoth crowds, recording spectacular miracles, and most importantly, giving thousands the opportunity to surrender their lives to Christ.

The crusade began with preliminary evangelism activities led by the Gospel Heralds, an Advance Team dispatched by the Evangelism Ministry to Togo ahead of the event.

In Togo, the team was distributed in pairs among six districts of the Church in the southern part, where they undertook various evangelism activities such as house-to-house evangelism, film evangelism, sports evangelism, and tract distribution.

These pre-crusade activities resulted in the opening of 10 new assemblies in the country to the glory of God.

At the main convention grounds, the gospel message of Christ was powerfully ministered, convicting hearts and causing many to surrender their lives to Christ.

In the southern sector, 1,889 adults and 514 children accepted Christ as their Lord and personal Saviour. Out of the souls won, 692 were baptised in water while 194 received Holy Spirit baptism.

Additionally, 243 backslidden Christians rededicated themselves to the faith.

Evangelism outreaches undertaken in six districts in the northern part of the country also recorded 1152, making the overall total of souls won 3,555.

Numerous miracles were also recorded, with many testifying of being healed of various physical ailments.

The morning sessions, held at the CIAP-Yokoe (PIWC-Yokoe) auditorium, mainly focused on breaking the strongholds of the evil one and liberating all who were under the bondage of the devil.

Intensive prayer sessions were, therefore, held to invoke God’s favour upon the people and the land.

From all indications, the land of Togo has received a mighty visitation from God, sparking a new season of revival starting with the Church.

To God be the glory!

Jesus Is Ever Ready To Forgive Every Sin – Apostle Brefo Assures

Apostle Michael Agyen Brefo, the Aflao Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, has assured that no one should bear the weight of a guilty conscience, as Jesus is ever ready to forgive any sin, no matter how grave it may be.

“Jesus is anointed to forgive our sins, and He indeed died to cleanse us from all sins,” he said during the morning session of Day 3 of the “Togo for Christ” crusade.

In his message, Apostle Agyen Brefo emphasised that Jesus is the Saviour of the world who rescues people from their sins.

He explained that because of sin, humanity had become enslaved by the evil one, but Jesus came to deliver them from the kingdom of the devil to His kingdom of light.

The Aflao Area Head further noted that Jesus came to earth purposely to destroy the works of the evil one and to grant humanity eternal life.

“The abundant life Jesus offers includes our deliverance, healing, and miracles,” he said.

He stressed that sin is destructive, and for this reason, all must submit to the Lordship of Christ to be redeemed from the manipulation of the devil and his cohorts.

“Jesus is in the rescue business. He is transforming lives, and if only you will accept Him into your life, you will be free,” he said.

The Name Jesus Is More Valuable Than Gold – Apostle Tetteh-Juddah

Apostle Isaac Tetteh-Juddah, the Odorkor Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, has declared that the name of Jesus is the most precious thing in the life of every human being.

According to him, the name of Jesus is more valuable than gold because there is no other name by which humanity can be saved.

Apostle Tetteh-Juddah made this assertion on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, when he preached on Day 2 of the evening session of the “Togo for Christ” crusade at Adidogome Park in Lome, Togo.

In his sermon, he stated that there are four major problems in life: danger, demons, disease, and death.

Using various scriptures from Acts 4:12, Philippians 2:11, John 10:10, and 1 John 3:8, he explained that Jesus is the only antidote to these issues.

He said that it is only through the name of Jesus that people can escape danger and overcome demonic powers.

The Odorkor Area Head further noted that the name of Jesus has the power to heal any disease and bring life to the dead, declaring, “With Jesus, there is no such thing as death.”

He pointed out that people often resort to other avenues for power to deal with these problems, but the devil makes slaves of them in the process.

This, he said, is because the devil only comes to steal, kill, and destroy, making it far worse to fall into his hands.

He, therefore, urged all who have not yet surrendered their lives to Christ to do so in order to enjoy everlasting life.

“Jesus has conquered danger, demons, diseases, and death, and He did it while He was on earth,” he said.

Adopt Holistic Approach to Make Evangelism Effective – Church Leaders Advised

Pastor Frank Awuah Fordjour, the Crusades Coordinator for the Evangelism Ministry of The Church of Pentecost, has advised church leaders to adopt a holistic approach to evangelism to make the Gospel relevant, productive, and fruitful in contemporary times.

Pastor Frank Awuah gave this advice during his presentation on the topic “Holistic Evangelism Approach to Possess the Nations” in the morning session of the ongoing “Togo for Christ” crusade on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at the CIAP-Yokoe auditorium.

“The global evangelisation drive of the Christian Church in this post-modern era is confronted with many challenges such as secularisation and urbanisation. Therefore, there is a need for new approaches and efforts in the practical proclamation of the gospel,” he said.

According to him, renewed ways and strategies are essential for reaching out with the gospel of salvation to urbanised, secularised, and post-modern societies, as well as rural, remote, and developing areas.

“Other relevant challenges include finding workable ways of reaching out to some minority or specialised groups, which require specialised training,” he added.

He further proposed a model for undertaking a holistic outreach, outlining the following steps: intercessory fasting and prayers, scouting the area where outreach is to take place, developing an outreach proposal indicating the objectives and targets of the outreach, mobilising teams and equipment for the outreach, dispatching an advance team to the outreach area ahead of the scheduled period, publicising the event, post-crusade follow-up on new converts, and budget and fund mobilisation.

He emphasised that following this model would ensure the effective organisation of the crusade and the full integration of new converts won into the church.

The Church Is Endowed With Great Power & Great Grace for Evangelism – Elder Dr. Ken Aboah

Elder Dr. Ken Aboah, a member of the National Executive Committee of the Evangelism Ministry and a trustee of The Church of Pentecost, has asserted that the church is endowed with great power and grace to liberate all who are under the bondage of the evil one.

Elder Dr. Aboah made this statement during the morning session of the ongoing “Togo for Christ” crusade on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at the CIAP-Yokoe auditorium.

Speaking on the topic “Power Evangelism,” the esteemed Elder explained that the Kingdom of God came to exert itself against the Kingdom of Satan through the coming of Jesus Christ and the preaching of His gospel (Matthew 6:9, Colossians 1:13, Acts 26:17-18, 1 John 3:8). He emphasised that believers must always keep this in mind in their evangelistic pursuits.

He noted that many have become slaves to Satan and sin, lost, prey, alienated from God, dead in spirit, and citizens of the Kingdom of darkness. Christians, he urged, must adopt power evangelism to redeem such people.

Elder Dr. Aboah defined power evangelism as the kind of evangelism that is not just based on the word of God (Logos), but also on the demonstration of the power of God (Exousia).

“Man’s method involves oratory, eloquence, persuasion, enticement, manipulation, human wisdom, and philosophies, and sometimes scaring and threatening people with bad omens. Power evangelism is God’s method,” he said.

He emphasised that the Kingdom of the evil one is no match for God’s power, and for this reason, believers should have no fear of evil forces.

Referencing Acts 2:37, 4:33, 11:21-25, 14:1-3; Acts 6:8; Mark 16:20; and Acts 5:12-16, he pointed out that in the Early Church, believers preached in the power of the Holy Spirit, casting out demons and healing the sick.

Elder Dr. Aboah stated that the demonstration of God’s power affirms the gospel message that believers preach and urged Christians to always avail themselves as vessels to be used for the demonstration of God’s power.

He also assured believers that, like the early church, they too are endowed with great grace and power to do exploits for the Lord, depopulating the kingdom of Satan and populating the Kingdom of God.

Jesus Is The Only Name That Saves – Apostle Dr. Jimmy Markin

Apostle Dr. Amos Jimmy Markin, the Evangelism Ministry Director of The Church of Pentecost, has affirmed that there is no name other than Jesus by which humanity can be saved.

He made this declaration yesterday during the opening of the “Togo for Christ” crusade at Adidogome Park in Lome, Togo.

In a brief sermon based on Luke 7:37-40, 48, and 50, Apostle Dr. Markin, who is also an Executive Council Member of the Church, emphasised that the greatest problem facing humanity is not poverty, sickness, disease, or the pursuit of witchcraft and charms, but sin.

He warned that sin kills, paralyses, blinds, and is the root of all evil, which is why it is the cause of all the problems of humanity.

“When the devil possesses you, he makes you do strange things. The worst name that can ever be given to you is ‘sinner’,” he said.

Apostle Dr. Markin further noted that sin alienates one from God, their future, and eternity, stressing that Jesus is the only cure for sin.

He explained that all humanity has sinned because they were conceived and born in sin. Therefore, everyone must come to faith in Jesus, declaring: “Jesus saves, heals, forgives sins, sets captives free, and gives hope to the hopeless.”

He asserted that the name of Jesus is the only name in and under heaven by which humanity can be redeemed from the destructive influence of sin.

He thus urged all who are yet to surrender their lives to Christ by accepting Him as their Lord and personal Saviour.

The “Togo for Christ” crusade is being jointly organised by the International Missions Directorate, The Church of Pentecost Togo International and the Evangelism Ministry Directorate of the church.

The four-day crusade is under the theme “Jesus Saves and Heals.”

He emphasised that the event would be unprecedented, resulting in a powerful move of the Holy Spirit in the country.

Haatso Area Organises In Him Is Life Crusade At Pantang Hospital Park web

Haatso Area Organises “In Him Is Life” Crusade At Pantang Hospital Park

The Pantang Hospital Park is the venue for a soul-saving and life-transforming crusade, dubbed “In Him Is Life,” organised by the Haatso Area of The Church of Pentecost.

The four-day crusade is part of a series of activities marking the end of the 2024 mid-year programmes.

Opening the event on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, the Area Head, Apostle William Boakye Agyarko, spoke on the main theme, “In Him Is Life,” based on John 1:1-4.

He defined life as a period of time in which something is in existence or operates.

Apostle Agyarko stated that Jesus came into the world to give eternal life freely to man, along with all the necessary things to make life easy for those who freely come to accept Him as their Lord and Saviour.

“When you come to Jesus, you receive in abundance not only salvation but also peace, love, joy, and protection from Satan and his host of demons,” Apostle Boakye Agyarko stated.

Concluding his message, Apostle Boakye Agyarko warned that whoever fails to believe that Jesus Christ is the only saviour and surrender to Him risks facing eternal damnation in hell because God’s wrath will abide on them forever.

He used the occasion to invite all to come to Jesus Christ, who gives eternal life freely.

On Wednesday, June 19, Apostle Anthony Mensah of PIWC-Atomic delivered a message on the topic, “Life in Jesus Christ,” based on Mark 10:17 and Hebrews 9:27.

Apostle Mensah revealed that the ancient Greeks classified life as Bios (physical life), Psuche (soulish life), and Zoe, which is eternal life.

According to Apostle Mensah, eternal life has no end, no beginning, and is not created; it is in God only. It is this Zoe life that God gives to all those who come to Him through Jesus, and it is activated as soon as human beings die.

Apostle Mensah intimated that since every man has an appointment with death once in their lifetime to face judgment, it is very expedient for everyone to accept Jesus in order to escape eternal damnation and receive eternal life, which only Jesus gives.

Other speakers scheduled for the crusade include Apostle Joseph Danzerl, Achimota Area Head, and Pastor Yaw Agyenim Boateng, the Agbogba District Pastor and Area Evangelism Ministry Leader.

Also participating in the event are all ministers and their wives in the Haatso Area.

So far, 24 souls have been won, and 12 of them were baptised by immersion on Thursda, June 20.
