Dormaa Koraso District “Prayer Walk” Records Healings & Souls

The Dormaa Koraso District in the Dormaa Ahenkro Area of The Church of Pentecost has held a major Prayer Walk that attracted hundreds of participants and left a significant spiritual and social impact on the community.

The event, which took place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, and commenced at 4:30 a.m., saw Christians, non-Christians, and members of various denominations join the exercise, which covered more than 10 square kilometres of the town. Participants prayed, worshipped, and declared the Lordship of Christ over the land as they interceded for families, institutions, and the entire community.

The Prayer Walk recorded notable testimonies, including an instant healing of a woman who had been unable to walk for several years. According to eyewitnesses, the woman suddenly stood up, walked, and later joined the procession, drawing widespread amazement and praise to God.

The spiritual atmosphere also led to several conversions, as many residents reportedly gave their lives to Christ during the walk—one of the district’s most significant evangelistic outcomes in recent years.

Local chiefs and community leaders also expressed their appreciation for the initiative. Some leaders pledged to worship with the church, describing the event as a key contributor to peace, unity, and moral upliftment in the community.

The exercise concluded with a community breakfast sponsored by the District Minister, P/Overseer Godwin Agbedu Donkor, and his wife, Mrs. Judith Kafui Donkor.

Your Family Is Your Micro-Church – Apostle Raj Admonishes

An Executive Council Member of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Sundaram James Raj, has urged believers to restore the biblical family as the foundation for spiritual vitality and societal transformation.

Apostle Raj delivered this message during this year’s November Heads’ Prayer Meeting of The Church of Pentecost at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), Gomoa Fetteh, under the theme: “The Godly Home – Raising God-Fearing Families to Strengthen the Local Church and Aid the Unleashing Agenda.”

Drawing from Genesis 1:27–28, Apostle Raj reminded participants that before nations, cities, or the Church existed, God established the family as the primary channel for blessing, multiplication, worship, and stewardship. He emphasised that the home is the first sanctuary of worship, the first school of discipleship, and the primary environment where divine order is modelled.

Amid contemporary pressures on traditional family structures, he encouraged Church leaders to champion the restoration of godly homes as essential to moral renewal and national transformation.

Tracing biblical examples, Apostle Raj highlighted how God consistently worked through households. From Noah, whose obedience preserved humanity, to Abraham, whose covenant responsibilities shaped generations, families were central to God’s redemptive plan. He also referenced Deuteronomy 6:6–9, stressing that spiritual formation is an intergenerational mandate. Parents, he said, should prioritise spiritual literacy alongside academic training, raising children as future witnesses, leaders, and ministers.

He further cited the New Testament, noting that early churches often met in homes (2 Timothy 1:5), demonstrating that strong household devotion forms the backbone of a vibrant and missional Church. Every godly home, Apostle Raj explained, functions as a “micro-church,” carrying the spiritual DNA of Christ into daily life.

Apostle Raj also stressed the vital role of the Holy Spirit in family life. Spirit-filled homes, he noted, become centres of prayer, healing, discernment, and restoration. Through worship and responsiveness to the Spirit, families cultivate forgiveness, strengthen marriages, and nurture children in their God-given callings.

Concluding his message, he called families to action: establish daily devotions, model forgiveness, guard purity, serve together, strengthen marriages, and actively participate in church ministry. These practices, he stated, equip households to advance the Church’s Unleashing Agenda.

Affirming that societal transformation begins at home, Apostle Raj reminded participants: “The revival we seek must first ignite in living rooms before it fills sanctuaries,” echoing Joshua’s declaration: “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Tepa Area Other Sheep Ministry Holds Maiden Seminar

The Tepa Area of The Church of Pentecost, through its Ministry to Other Sheep, has held its maiden seminar at the Tepa Central Assembly under the theme “I Must Bring Them Also” (John 10:16).

The event, which took place on Sunday, October 19, 2025, brought together ministers, officers, and members from across the Area to deepen understanding and strengthen efforts in reaching non-Christian communities with the gospel of Christ.

Present at the seminar were Pastor Emmanuel K. M. Adeti (Hwidiem District Pastor and Area Coordinator for the Ministry), Pastor Obeng Gyamfi (Twabidi District), Pastor Stephen Larbi (Tepa District), and several district representatives and ministry coordinators.

In his welcome address, Pastor Adeti introduced the ministry’s slogan, “The Other Sheep Ministry – One Flock, One Shepherd,” emphasizing the Lord’s command to reach those outside the Christian faith. He shared a brief exhortation titled “One Flock, One Shepherd,”drawn from John 10:16, in which he reminded participants that Muslims are not enemies but friends and fellow human beings who also need the light of Christ. He encouraged members to approach evangelism to Muslims with love, humility, and understanding rather than prejudice or argument.

Elder John Ackah led the first presentation on the topic “How to Win a Muslim.” He explained key aspects of Islamic beliefs and how Christians can wisely engage in dialogue by starting from shared beliefs before addressing differences based on Scripture. He advised participants to avoid arguments, build genuine relationships, and provide practical support – specially to converts who may face rejection from their families.

The second session, led by Pastor Adeti, focused on “The Concept of Islam,” during which he presented statistical insights about the growing Muslim population and the Church’s strategic mission to reach them. He called on members to intensify prayer and evangelistic efforts, noting that the rapid spread of Islam and the intentional establishment of mosques near church communities must awaken the Church to greater spiritual vigilance and action.

The seminar concluded with an intensive prayer session led by Elder Stephen Osei, Area Secretary for the Ministry.

PASTOR MUSA YAHAYA CALLS FOR RENEWED COMMITMENT TO PRISON EVANGELISM web

Pastor Musa Yahaya Calls For Renewed Commitment To Prison Evangelism

Pastor Musa Yahaya, the National Secretary for the Evangelism Ministry of The Church of Pentecost, has called on Christians to intensify efforts in reaching all people with the gospel message, including those behind prison walls, describing evangelism as a divine responsibility that knows no boundaries.

He made the call during a Gospel Heralds Training Session held in preparation for the upcoming Tamale for Christ Crusade.

Drawing inspiration from Romans 10:9–10, Pastor Yahaya emphasised that faith in Christ—believing with the heart and confessing with the mouth—leads to righteousness before God.

According to him, while many have received salvation and stand righteous before God, some remain confined by the laws of men within prison facilities. “Though free in Christ, these brethren remain bound in the physical world,” he said.

Pastor Yahaya noted that this reality highlights the urgency of the Church’s mandate to proclaim the gospel everywhere, including to those who are physically imprisoned.

He urged believers to heed The Church of Pentecost’s Unleashing Agenda, which challenges Christians to take the gospel beyond traditional spaces and impact lives in every sphere of society.

“The righteousness that the gospel imparts is the greatest form of freedom anyone can receive. It transcends earthly prisons, governments, and societies,” he stated, adding that the Church must act with passion, faith, and courage to fulfil its calling.

He further encouraged Christians to see evangelism not merely as a duty but as an act of love that brings spiritual liberation and often leads to social transformation.

“Our mission as Christ’s heralds is to proclaim the good news everywhere, to every person, so that righteousness and true freedom may be realised in the fullest sense,” he said.

Pastor Yahaya’s message forms part of The Church of Pentecost’s broader evangelistic drive, which seeks to reach communities, institutions, and correctional centres across Ghana as part of its effort to “Possess the Nations” for Christ.

The Tamale for Christ Crusade is expected to draw thousands of participants from across the region as the Church continues its mission to win souls and transform society through the gospel.

Tepa Area Ministers And Wives Rally Records 78 Souls For Christ, 62 Baptised In Water

The Tepa Area of The Church of Pentecost experienced a mighty move of the Holy Spirit during its maiden “Ministers and Wives Rally,” which yielded seventy-eight (78) souls for Christ, with sixty-two (62) of them receiving water baptism. The three-day evangelistic event, held from Tuesday, October 28 to Thursday, October 30, 2025, took place in two zones, Ntotroso-Gyedu in the Kenyasi Zone and Wioso in the Wioso Zone, under the theme, “Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth, and the Life” (John 14:6).

The rallies brought together all ministers and their spouses within the Area, led by the Tepa Area Head, Apostle David Nii Addo-Pappoe, and his wife, Mrs. Faustina Addo-Pappoe. The atmosphere was charged with fervent prayer, passionate preaching, and powerful manifestations of the Spirit as many surrendered their lives to Christ.

Delivering the main sermon, Apostle Addo-Pappoe emphasized that Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father and the only truth that liberates humankind from sin, bondage, and the power of Satan. He explained that one of the primary reasons Christ came to the world was to set the captives free and grant eternal life to all who believe in Him. “There is no other name through which humanity can be saved apart from the name of Jesus,” he declared.

To the glory of God, the rallies recorded a combined attendance of about 300 people across both zones. Also present were Pastor Dr. Kwesi Atta Agyapong (Tepa Area Secretary) and his wife, Mrs. Lucy Agyapong; Pastor Stephen Larbi (Area Evangelism Leader); Pastor Enoch Mensah (Area Executive Member); as well as the host ministers, Pastor Hayford Antwi Kontoh and Pastor Isaiah Yankson Coker.

The event, marked by deep spiritual encounters, reaffirmed the Tepa Area’s commitment to the Church’s Vision 2028 agenda of “Possessing the Nations” through aggressive evangelism and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Kaneshie Area Launches November Aggressive Evangelism Month

The Kaneshie Area of The Church of Pentecost, under the leadership of Apostle Daniel Dekpor, has launched the November 2025 Aggressive Evangelism Month at the Kaneshie Worship Centre in Accra. The colourful launch, held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, was graced by the Evangelism Director of the Church, Apostle Emmanuel Kwesi Appiah, together with the Area Pastorate and other ministers.

In his address, Apostle Appiah explained that official letters had been dispatched to all Area Heads across the nation to inaugurate the Evangelism Month, signalling the start of an intensified soul-winning campaign throughout the Church. He commended the Kaneshie Area for their enthusiasm and prayed for a renewed passion for evangelism across the continent of Africa. He also urged all Christians to embrace evangelism as a divine responsibility.

The November Aggressive Evangelism Month, themed “Unleashed to Go and Tell Everyone, Everywhere,” and dubbed “One Member, One Discipled Soul,” draws inspiration from Luke 10:1–2, Mark 16:15–20, and John 1:41–42. According to Apostle Appiah, the initiative seeks to equip and unleash every believer to share the gospel wherever they are – be it in markets, schools, workplaces, or communities – affirming that God can use anyone regardless of their background or social status.

“The initiative centers on equipping and unleashing every member to reach out to others for Christ,” he emphasized, adding that the vision is rooted in the Church’s divine mandate to make disciples of all nations.

He further disclosed that planned activities for the month include house-to-house evangelism, crusades, street outreaches, dawn broadcasts, social media campaigns, and sessions for water and Holy Spirit baptism. He noted that follow-up and discipleship strategies have also been outlined to nurture new converts and sustain ongoing evangelistic efforts.

Among the dignitaries present were Elder Evans Ayim (Deputy Director, Evangelism Ministry); Apostle Professor Joseph I. T. Buertey (Resident Minister, Kaneshie PIWC); Pastor Musah Yahaya (Secretary, Evangelism Ministry / Resident Minister, Kaneshie Worship Centre); Pastor Joseph Appiah Tah (Kaneshie Area Evangelism Leader / Bubuashie District); Pastor Samuel Awujah (Kaneshie Area Secretary / Darkuman District); Pastor Samuel Kofi Yeboah (Adwenbu District / Kaneshie Area HUM Coordinator & PEMEM Leader); Pastor Anane Yeboah (Bubuashie North District); and Elder Lawyer Ken Aboah (Trustee, The Church of Pentecost).

PIWC-Sakumono Leads Twenty-One Inmates to Christ at Nsawam Prison web

PIWC-Sakumono Leads Twenty-One Inmates To Christ At Nsawam Prison

In a moving demonstration of God’s transforming power, twenty-one inmates at the Nsawam Medium Prison have surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ during an evangelistic outreach organised by the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC) – Sakumono, in the Sakumono Area of The Church of Pentecost.

The fellowship, held on Sunday, October 26, 2025, took place at the Male Ward’s Transformation Assembly of the Church of Pentecost, which currently has a membership of about 450 inmates. The outreach formed part of PIWC-Sakumono’s commitment to Vision 2028 – “Unleashing the Whole Church to Transform Their World with the Values and Principles of the Kingdom of God.” The visit sought to share the message of hope in Christ and to assure the inmates that they are not forgotten by God or His Church.

A 15-member delegation led by the Presiding Elder, Yohannes Ametri, represented the church. The team donated various clothing items and a cash amount of GH₵ 5,000 to support the welfare of the inmates. Preaching on the theme “The Divine Exchange,” Elder Ametri drew lessons from Acts 3:14–15, 2 Corinthians 8:9, and 1 Peter 2:24. He explained that the death of Jesus Christ on the cross represents the greatest exchange in human history; where humanity’s sin, poverty, and shame were replaced with righteousness, grace, and eternal hope.

“His death on the cross has brought us a divine exchange for healing and righteousness,” he said. “The death of Jesus took away our poverty and paved the way for grace and richness for believers. You and I are beneficiaries of this divine exchange.” He encouraged the inmates to hold on to their faith, reminding them that through Christ, they can experience true transformation regardless of their past.

DSP Pastor Thomas Owusu Brefo, the District Superintendent of Police in charge of Religious Affairs at the Nsawam Prison, commended the initiative and expressed gratitude to The Church of Pentecost for its continued spiritual and material support. He disclosed that the facility currently accommodates over 3,500 inmates – a reduction from the pre-COVID population of about 5,000. He emphasized the shift in Ghana’s correctional philosophy from punitive measures to rehabilitation and reintegration.

“Inmates are miraculously preserved,” DSP Pastor Brefo said. “There is a need to work on them and reform them so they can assist in society’s development.” He further explained that inmates receive vocational and technical training in trades such as plumbing, tailoring, and other skills to prepare them for life after incarceration.

Elder Samuel Nkansah Sakyi, the Area Coordinator for the Prison Ministry, explained that the visit was inspired by Hebrews 13:3, which admonishes believers to remember those in prison as though they were bound with them. “Those incarcerated need encouragement and support from those of us outside,” he said. “Our visit is to show love and remind them that God’s grace reaches even behind prison walls.”

On behalf of the inmates, their leadership expressed deep gratitude to the leadership of PIWC-Sakumono, led by Apostle Seth Fianko-Larbi, the Resident Minister, and his executive team. They described the fellowship and donation as a great encouragement and a tangible reminder that God’s love and the Church’s compassion extend to all people, regardless of circumstance.

The visit ended with joyful worship and prayer, marking another step in The Church of Pentecost’s mission to bring hope, transformation, and salvation to every sphere of society, including the nation’s prisons.

Apostle Appiah Urges Believers to Hold Fast to Jesus, the Way to Eternal Life

Speaking at the ongoing ‘Afram Plains for Christ’ crusade on the theme, ‘Jesus Christ, The Only Way to Eternal Life’ (John 14:6), Apostle Emmanuel Kwesi Appiah, Director of the Evangelism Ministry of The Church of Pentecost, has encouraged believers never to give up, regardless of their situation in life, because God remains in control.

Drawing his main text from John 14:5-6, Apostle Appiah emphasised that Jesus Christ is the only true way to salvation.

He explained that every other path leads to loss and destruction, but those who walk with Christ find eternal life.

‘No one can give you life except Jesus Christ. You may take other roads and get lost, but if you go through Jesus Christ, you will have eternal life,’ he stressed.

Referencing passages such as John 10:15, Luke 5, and Mark 5, Apostle Appiah further noted that faith in Christ gives believers the assurance and testimony of eternal life.

He urged the congregation to remain steadfast in their walk with the Lord, adding, ‘Jesus is the way; no more wandering. In Him alone is life.’

The ‘Afram Plains for Christ’ crusade officially began on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 and is expected to end on Saturday, August 30, 2025 with a medical screening exercise.

Afram Plains For Christ Crusade Opens At Tease

Waves of worship, fervent prayers, and electrifying praise filled the air at the New Market Square in Tease, Afram Plains, as the much-awaited ‘Afram Plains for Christ’ crusade officially began on Tuesday night, August 26, 2025.

The gathering drew hundreds of believers and seekers alike, all eager to encounter the transforming power of Jesus Christ.

Organised by the Evangelism Ministry of The Church of Pentecost, in collaboration with the Afram Plains Area of the church, the four-day crusade is expected to attract both members of the church and non-members from across the Afram Plains and surrounding communities.

The crusade features ministrations from seasoned speakers, including Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi (General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost), Apostle Emmanuel K. Appiah (Director of the Evangelism Ministry), Prophet Victor Asante Darko (Afram Plains Area Head), Apostle Samuel Edzii Davidson (Offinso Area Head), Elder Godfred Asare (El Shaddai Prayer Centre, Konongo), and Elder Seth Peasah (NEC Member of the Evangelism Ministry and Leader of the El-Bethel Prayer Centre, Ho).

The event is also blessed with song ministrations from the Afram Plains Mass Choir, Sister Joyce Effah, Elder Blessed Koduah, and Deaconess Lizzy Rockson.

The Afram Plains, located in the Eastern Region of Ghana, is one of the country’s most fertile but underserved areas.

With vast arable lands along the Afram River, a tributary of the Volta Lake, the local economy largely depends on farming and fishing. Maize, yam, cassava, and groundnuts are cultivated in abundance, while fishing sustains many families along the lakeside.

Despite its rich natural resources, the area faces development challenges due to scattered settlements and difficult terrain.

These challenges, however, make the Afram Plains a strategic focus for missionary work. Through evangelistic campaigns like ‘Afram Plains for Christ,’ The Church of Pentecost continues to extend the light of the Gospel to remote communities, offering hope and transformation through Jesus Christ.

The crusade will conclude on Saturday, August 30, 2025, with a free holistic medical screening and children’s service, offering both spiritual and physical healing to the people of the Afram Plains.
