Tamale Area Women’s Ministry Supports Tamale Teaching Hospital

The Tamale Area Women’s Ministry of The Church of Pentecost has offered support to the Tamale Teaching Hospital as part of the Easter festivities.

A church delegation led by Mrs. Agatha Tawiah, the wife of the Tamale Area Head and the Area Women’s Ministry Leader, and comprising Area Women’s Ministry Executive Committee Members, Ministers’ Wives, and District Women Ministry Leaders from the Tamale Metropolis, visited the facility on Saturday, March 30, 2024.

The team was received by the management of the hospital led by Mr. Saakaa Danladi, Head of Finance, in the company of other senior staff of the facility.

As part of the visit, the women donated some chairs to the hospital and also branded the Children’s ward with educational stickers.

Presenting the items, Mrs. Agatha Tawiah said that the Women’s Ministry has been making such presentations in many places as it aligns with the “Possessing the Nations” agenda, dubbed “Vision 2028,” which encourages members of the Church to provide social services to the community.

Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, Mr. Danladi expressed gratitude to the church for the gesture, which he believed would bring smiles to the faces of the children and their mothers.

He stressed the need for more collaboration like this because the government cannot meet the infrastructural needs of the citizenry alone. Parents and children on admission were filled with joy that such a gesture had been extended to them.

Present at the brief presentation ceremony were Mr. Mohammed Bukari Suglo (representing the Head of the Department), Hajia Rahinatu Abdul-Salam (Administrator of Radiology and the Coordinator of the donation), Hajia Habiba Lawal (DDNS, Trauma Sub-BMC), and Amadu Rashida S. (Ward in charge – Trauma/Orthopedic Unit).

Ekroful District Women’s Ministry Organizes Inter-Assemblies Easter Cooking Competition

It was a great scene on Easter Monday, April 1, 2024, where women from the various assemblies in the Ekroful District in The Church of Pentecost faced off against each other in a memorable cooking competition to round up this year’s Easter Festivities.

The event, which was organized to promote local foods, saw the women prepare various indigenous foods and drinks such as Waakye with shito and chicken gravy, Fufu with “Ebunobuno” soup, Cocoyam with garden eggs stew, Fruit salad, Watermelon juice, Tuo Zaafi, and some local drinks.

In a brief remark, the Ekroful District Minister, Pastor Edward Asamoah Antwi, charged the congregation to cultivate the habit of preparing their own indigenous foods.

“If you want to have a healthy and prolonged life, aside from God helping us, we should advise ourselves to feed on what we grow in our farms. Because, going by that is not only healthy but also economized,” he added.

He also commended the District Women’s Ministry Leader, Deaconess Mabel Otoo, and her team for the great work done in making the event a reality.

Mrs. Rita Asamoah Antwi, the wife of the District Minister, in turn, advised the youth to take an interest in preparing their own foods. She also encouraged them to endeavour to prepare their own nutritious dishes rather than relying on food vendors for “already-made” foods.

The event was climaxed with a Love Feast, where members and non-members of the church came together to enjoy some of the foods prepared by the contestants. At the end of the event, the women of the Ephrathah Assembly were adjudged winners of the competition.

The Blood Of Jesus Brings Redemption & Justification– Apostle ANY Kumi-Larbi Points Out

The Ashaiman Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle A.N.Y. Kumi Larbi, has stated that the blood of Jesus forgives, cleanses, and brings redemption and justification to all who believe and gives them unrestricted access to the throne of God.

He made these remarks during the climax of the Afienya District Easter Convention on Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Afienya, near the Accra lorry station (Afienya Last Stop).

The Easter Convention, held under the theme: “The Blood of Jesus Speaks Better Things,” attracted a multitude of people from different walks of life.

Quoting from Hebrews 12:24 and 9:22, the concept of the blood of Jesus speaking better things than the blood of Abel highlights the superior nature of Jesus’ sacrifice compared to that of Abel in the Old Testament.

This comparison, according to him, emphasises the consequences of sin and the cry for justice. In contrast, the blood of Jesus represents forgiveness, redemption, and reconciliation with God, seen as the ultimate atonement for sin, offering salvation and eternal life to believers in Him.

“The blood of Jesus, often seen as a symbol of redemption and forgiveness, speaks of the new covenant and offers hope and salvation to all who believe. In contrast, the blood of Abel symbolises the cry for justice and the consequence of sin. This comparison in the book of Hebrews underscores the transformative power of Jesus’ sacrifice and the superior nature of His atonement,” he stated.

Apostle Kumi-Larbi also stressed that the blood of Jesus is sufficient, permanent, and final, with Jesus serving as our high priest and mediator in all aspects of life.

He highlighted that Jesus upholds the universe with His powerful hands, embodies the exact imprint of God’s character, and is the heir of all things, as creation was done through Him and for Him.

The comparison in Hebrews between the blood of Jesus and the blood of Abel illustrates the profound difference between justice and redemption, sin and salvation, serving as a powerful reminder of the grace and mercy extended to believers through Christ’s ultimate sacrifice.

The Resurrection Is Proof Of Christ's Deity - Apostle Samuel Obuobi web

The Resurrection Is Proof Of Christ’s Deity – Apostle Samuel Obuobi

The General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, has said that Jesus’ resurrection after His gruesome crucifixion is proof that He is God.

According to him, just as the birth of Christ affirmed His human nature, His resurrection from the dead is proof that He was no ordinary human being but God.

Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi said this today during the Resurrection Sunday Service held at the Amrahia Community Park by the Amrahia Zone of the Madina Area of the Church to climax this year’s Easter Convention.

In his sermon, he said that most people who die are unable to come back to life as it is appointed unto man to die once.

Apostle Samuel Obuobi, however, noted that the Bible makes mention of some individuals who came back to life after experiencing death, citing Lazarus, the man at Nain, etc.

He further explained that despite their good fortune of having a second chance at life, all of them experienced death again.

The General Secretary, therefore, noted that what makes Jesus’ resurrection amazing and unique is that He will never taste death ever again as He has completely defeated death.

He explained that the devil and his cohorts were determined to keep Jesus in the grave, but it was impossible for death to keep hold of Him because He is God.

“Satan did everything to stop him from coming back. The large stone at the tomb, the seal of the Governor, and the well-built and trained soldiers put in place to guard the tomb still could not prevent Jesus from coming back to life,” he said.

“If the devil knew that Christ’s death would provide a door for the salvation of humanity, they would have refrained from killing Him,” he added.

He further noted that Christ’s resurrection is the foundation of the Christian faith, for if Christ had not risen from death, the faith of believers would be pointless.

“But to the glory of God, our faith is not futile. Jesus has risen again and his grave is empty,” he said.

He further assured that if Jesus resurrected, then we will also rise from death.”

Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi also encouraged Christians going through difficult times to hold on to their faith in the Lord and trust that in His appointed time, God will come to their rescue.

He said that the theology of “prosperity without suffering” is anti-Christian because God never promised believers an easy life. Rather, He assures them that even in the valley of the shadow of death, He will be with us.

“For every Good Friday (Low Point), there is a Resurrection Sunday (High Point), and there can’t be a Resurrection Sunday without a Good Friday.

“Every warrior must have engaged in battle; one cannot rightfully claim the title of a warrior without having emerged victorious in a conflict or war. So never give up; victory is assured!” He said.

Jesus Is The Only Accredited Source Of Eternal Life – Pastor Adane Reveals web

Jesus Is The Only Accredited Source Of Eternal Life – Pastor Adane Reveals

Pastor Justice Twene Adane of the Afienya Estate District of The Church of Pentecost has said that Jesus Christ, who died and rose again, is the only accredited source of eternal life.

He made this declaration during the Day Two of the Afienya Estate District 2024 Easter Convention on March 29, 2024.

He narrated the biblical creation story, highlighting how God created the world and humanity in His own image.

Pastor Adane talked about God’s initial exaltation of man, placing him in the Garden of Eden to care for all creations but warning against disobedience. He explained how sin entered the world through man’s rebellion, leading to separation from God.

He delved into the consequences of sin, illustrating how mankind became corrupt over time, culminating in God’s decision to destroy most of humanity in a flood, sparing only Noah due to his righteousness.

Pastor Adane spoke on the struggles of the Israelites to uphold God’s laws and the need for sacrifices to atone for sins before Jesus Christ’s ultimate sacrifice on the cross.

The Afienya Estate District Minister revealed that Jesus came to earth with a mission to defeat sin and provide salvation for humanity.

He described Jesus as the King who desires to reign in people’s hearts, the Way to the Father, and the Source of eternal life.

Pastor Adane shared a miraculous account of Jesus raising a dead man back to life, underscoring Jesus’ power over death.

“Jesus does not only offer physical life but also eternal life, which is considered superior. It is only Christ that can provide this eternal life and the promise of resurrection for those who believe in Him. Jesus is the only one accredited to forgive sins, just like how only Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), in Ghana, distributes electricity,” he said.

In conclusion, Pastor Justice Twene Adane urged the congregation to embrace Jesus Christ as the solution to their sins and the source of eternal life

He beseeched them to turn to Jesus for salvation, who has power to cleanse and redeem individuals from various sins and struggles, such as homosexuality, addiction, and bad habits.

He reassures the congregation that Jesus’ blood is powerful enough to forgive even the most notorious individuals, as read from biblical accounts like Zaccheus and the crucifixion scene.

The Message Of The Cross Brings Life – Pastor Kwadwo Oteng Asserts

There is a life-giving power for mankind, and this power emanates from the cross, Pastor Samuel Kwadwo Oteng, the Ashtown District Minister of The Church of Pentecost, has declared.

Delivering his sermon on the topic: “The Message of the Cross Is Life,” on Good Friday [March 29, 2024] during the New Tafo Zone Easter Convention at the New Tafo M/A Division School Park, Pastor Oteng emphasised the reality of Jesus’ death on the cross and the suffering He endured for the sake of mankind’s salvation.

“He who knew no sin was made sin for us so that in Him we might become God’s righteousness. All our sins were laid on Jesus,” he stated.

Drawing references from biblical passages such as 1 Corinthians 1:18, John 6:63, Hebrews 4:12, and John 6:68, the Ashtown District Minister stressed the transformative power of the word of God in bringing life to individuals who believe.

Highlighting the significance of a person’s parting words, Pastor Samuel Kwadwo Oteng discussed the seven profound statements Jesus made on the cross before His death, stating that they were essential for humanity’s salvation and shared the inherent lessons with the congregation. He encouraged Christians to embody Jesus’ forgiving nature and serve God with integrity.
