Be True Servants

Be True Servants of The Lord – Apostle Ofei Ankra-Badu Tells Women

The Tema Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Emmanuel Ofei Ankra-Badu, has charged Christian women to strive to become true servants of God.

Speaking at the September edition of Shiloh Prayers of the Area Women’s Ministry (Prampram Zone) held at the Galilee Prayer Centre in Great Ningo District on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, on the topic: “Relating Well with God” based on 1 Samuel 1:1-11, Genesis 3 and Isaiah 54:13-17, Apostle Ankra-Badu narrated the situation in which Hannah found herself as a barren woman while her rival Peninah was being blessed with many children.

According to him, Hannah nursed bitterness against her husband and her rival which initially hampered her prayer life.

“But when she [Hannah] decided to draw closer to God during an annual worship service at Shiloh, she poured her heart out to God in prayer and that drew God closer,” he said, adding, “When you draw closer to God, you hear His voice and when you relate rightly with God, all the other things move on smoothly.”

The Area Head led the over 500 participants to carefully examine Hannah’s character towards God with regards to the afflictions she went through and explained how connected mankind was to God until the fall of man.

He advised women to be obedient to God’s command by submitting to their husbands no matter the circumstances, stressing that it is the Lord alone who is capable of transforming them into good husbands, and through that, all blockades in their prayers will be removed.

“Hannah laughed at long last because God answered her prayers, not only with Samuel but additional five other children,” he stated.

Concluding his message, Apostle Emmanuel Ofei Ankra-Badu stated that if Christian women are in good relationship with God, the Lord will surely bless their children.

“When we are in good relationship with the Lord, He will fight all our battles for us, and no weapon formed against us shall prosper because we are true servants of God,” he said.

In attendance at the programme were Pastors Peter Mensah Awitor (Prampram District), Essel Kofi Annor (Dawhenya District), Percy Opoku Ahwenee Dankwah (Tsopoli District), Isaac Amofa Yeboah (Goi District) and William Boachie-Ansah (Great Ningo District), as well as the Area and Zonal leadership of the Women’s Ministry headed by Deaconess Charity Kuwornu, the Area Women’s Ministry Leader.
