The Youth Director of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Ebenezer Hagan, has urged Christian youth to align their lives with the holy and righteous call of God, emphasising that this is not just a duty but a sacred responsibility.

‘Lead a life worthy of the calling you have received,’ Apostle Hagan declared when speaking at the Cape Coast Centre held at the University of Coast on the Day 2 of the PENSA Ghana Conference.

Drawing inspiration from Ephesians 4:1-3, he noted that ‘walking in your calling’ means living a life that reflects faith, righteousness, and the virtues of the Kingdom of God. According to him, walking the calling requires a transformation of attitude, perseverance rooted in faith, and a commitment to live with eternal rewards in view.

The Youth Director reminded the youth that righteousness, as a gift from God, must be evident in every aspect of a believer’s life, not just in outward expressions but through an inner transformation that inspires others and honours God.

He highlighted that rewards serve as both motivation and recognition for the believer’s faithfulness. These rewards, both temporal and eternal, ‘encourage us to stay committed to God’s work and trust in His promises. They acknowledge the sacrifices, efforts, and contributions made to build God’s Kingdom and ultimately bring believers joy and honour in God’s presence.’

‘Your calling demands a walk of faith, extraordinary commitment, and a life of obedience and sacrifice,’ he stated.

Apostle Hagan reminded the audience that their service to God should stand out in both quantity and quality, as this is the basis for the rewards they will receive in Heaven.

The message concluded with a solemn call to action: ‘Lead a life worthy of the calling you have received. As 1 Corinthians 15:58 reminds us, ‘Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain.’

The session ended with intense prayers, leaving participants deeply inspired to remain steadfast in their calling, keeping eternity in view, and trusting that God will reward their faithfulness.
