Akuse District Supports COVID-19 Fight In Akuse Government Hospital

The Akuse District in the Agormanya Area of The Church of Pentecost has donated some personal protective equipment (PPEs) to the Akuse Government Hospital to support the fight against the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The items worth GH¢2,500.00 consists of examination gloves, surgical face masks, eye shields, alcohol-based hand sanitizers, boxes of carbolic soap, gallons of liquid soap, and bundles of tissue papers.

In a remark, the District Minister, Pastor Jacob Frimpong Kwakye, noted that the donation was to collaborate with the government to contain the pandemic. He commended the health workers for their commitment to fighting the viral disease.

Pastor Kwakye stressed the need for health workers to get the required protection and a safe environment to motivate them to discharge their duties effectively.

The Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Edna Asamoah Agyare, who received the items on behalf of management, commended The Church of Pentecost for the kind gesture rendered to the facility.

According to her, the items will help motivate staff to work to contain the spread of the virus. She called on other organizations to come to the aid of the hospital.

The District Finance Committee Chairman, Elder Charles Boadu, led the delegation to pray for the hospital management, staff, and patients.
