Agorve-Woe District Donates To The Aged, Vulnerable Members

The Agorve-Woe District in Aflao Area of The Church of Pentecost has donated assorted food items totaling over GH¢ 5,000.00 to more than 50 aged and vulnerable members in Agorve-Woe community.

The items include bags of maize, rice, sugar, gari, tin tomatoes, boxes of soap among others.

In a brief presentation ceremony, the District Minister, Pastor William Offei Antwi, stated that the gesture was part of the church’s social responsibility to the aged and the vulnerable in the community.

According to Pastor Antwi, the church realised that some members and the aged in the community were in serious need of food supply to survive with their families, hence the timely support.

“We believe that what we have done will go a long way to help these families in this COVID-19 period,” he indicated.

Pastor Antwi commended the Aflao Area Head, Apostle Peter Kofi Dzemekey, the pastorate and others for their immense support towards the success of the exercise.

Dada Kafui, who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, was very grateful to the church for the kind gesture.

Report by Pastor Ernest Perbi-Asare.
