The Evangelism Ministry of the Agormanya Area of The Church of Pentecost has held a 3-day crusade at the premises of the Akuse Prisons.

The outreach which took place from 9th to 11th May, 2019 resulted in 28 inmates accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

The Agormanya Area Evangelism Ministry Leader, Pastor George Amesawu, speaking to the inmates, assured them of God’s love, care and visitation.

He stressed that, God has not rejected them even though their friends, loved ones and parents might have rejected them. “In all your challenges, problems and hopeless situation, God is with you and at the right time He will intervene and restore you,” he noted.

During the crusade, the inmates were given the opportunity to display their talents through song ministration and dance, while others narrated what led to their imprisonment.

As part of the crusade, the Church donated assorted items including toiletries, food stuffs, second-hand clothing and a number of Bibles to the inmates. The items were worth GH¢3,000.00.

The Officer in-charge of Welfare at the Akuse Prisons, ASP Judith Alorvor, received the items on behalf of the management of the facility. She expressed her appreciation to the Church for the compassionate gesture shown to the facility.

Present at the event were Pastor Abrahams Harvoh (Area Missions Committee Chairman) and Elder Teye Wayoe (Area Assistant Evangelism Leader and Prisons Coordinator), among others.
