The Pentecost Students and Associates (PENSA) of Pentecost University has won 589 souls during its 8-day evangelistic outreach, dubbed ‘Missions’26’ held in the Afram Plains Area from June 9-16, 2026.
Held under the theme, “Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the World” (Luke 19:9-10), the outreach saw 140 student missionaries deployed to ten locations across the Area to proclaim the gospel through house-to-house evangelism, community outreaches, personal witnessing, and evening crusades.
The mission yielded 466 new converts and 123 rededications, surpassing its target of 500 souls. Additionally, 157 converts underwent water baptism, while 169 believers received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Four new assemblies were also established to disciple the converts and strengthen the Church’s presence in the communities reached.
Beyond the numerical gains, the outreach was marked by several testimonies of healing, deliverance, and spiritual transformation.
One of the most notable testimonies occurred during a baptismal service when a newly converted woman reportedly lost the use of her legs after emerging from the water. As the team prayed fervently, she regained strength and was able to walk, turning what appeared to be a moment of distress into a testimony of divine intervention.
The outreach also recorded reports of physical healings. A woman suffering from chronic back pain testified of receiving relief after prayer, while another woman who had endured persistent waist pain reported being healed during a special prayer session for the sick. A young girl experiencing severe stomach pain was also said to have recovered after prayer.
In another remarkable encounter, a paralysed man was reached during house-to-house evangelism. Following prayers offered by the team, he reportedly regained strength and began to walk.
The mission further witnessed dramatic conversions. A local man publicly surrendered his idols and amulets after accepting Christ, symbolising his break from former beliefs and practices. In another instance, a young man who was initially reluctant to respond to the gospel surrendered his life to Christ after receiving a prophetic word that spoke directly to his circumstances.
Several participants also testified of spiritual encounters, visions, and deliverance experiences that deepened their faith and commitment to Christ.
According to the organisers, the testimonies recorded throughout the outreach served as a powerful confirmation of God’s saving and transforming power. The mission concluded with thanksgiving to God for the souls won, lives transformed, and communities impacted through the preaching of the gospel.
