Apostle Isaac Kwasi Amoako, a retired minister of The Church of Pentecost, has described Christians as God’s special people through their faith in Christ Jesus.

Speaking on Friday, November 1, 2024, during a 3-day New Tafo Area ‘Divine Encounter’ held at the Area Revival Centre in Sepe-Buokrom, Apostle Amoako delivered a sermon titled, “The Church As God’s Special Chosen People,” drawing on scriptures from 1 Peter 2:7-9.

He emphasised that God has always desired to have a people to call His own, and that they also recognise Him as their God. He highlighted the uniqueness of Christians, quoting Deuteronomy 7:6-9, to illustrate that God purposefully chose and united Himself with believers to be their God just as He did with the people of Israel. He, therefore, urged the congregation not to underestimate their worth, as they are valued in God’s eyes.

Citing Ephesians 2:11-13, Apostle Amoako stressed that, through Christ Jesus, Christians are part of God’s family. He affirmed that as God’s special chosen people, Christians are immensely loved (1 John 3:1-2) and abundantly blessed by God (Genesis 24:30-31).

In conclusion, he referenced 2 Timothy 4:4-5, emphasising the prime duty of God’s people to proclaim the gospel, stating, “Your success lies with the person to whom you preach the gospel.”

As part of the event, the National Aggressive  Evangelism Campaign was launched by the Area Head, Prophet Samuel Tetteh Doku, encouraging all Christians to preach the gospel and win souls for Christ.
