The Schools Outreach Ministry (SOM) of The Church of Pentecost in the Aflao Area, in conjunction with the Pentecost Educational Workers Guild and Pentecost Counseling Ministry of Afife District, has organised a day’s seminar for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates.

The event, which was held recently at Afife Central assembly, was chaired by Pastor Seth Kofi Danah, the Area Youth Leader.

The over 165 participants who attended the seminar were selected from various schools in the area, including Evangelical Presbyterian JHS, Roman Catholic JHS, Devine Academy, The Pen Academy, and Ewulogui Basic Schools.

Some of the topics treated included “Examination anxiety management,” “General guidelines in answering questions,” “Dos and Don’ts in examination hall” and “The Spiritual preparation before, during and after an examination.”

The facilitators include members of the Pentecost Educational Workers Guild who are also WAEC examiners such as Mr Samuel Goka, Headmaster of Afife R/C JHS, and the District minister, Pastor Seth Kofi Danah.

The candidates were given examination stationery, after which prayer was said for them.

At the end of the meeting, 13 candidates gave their lives to Jesus.

Report by Pastor Francis Lamptey, Aflao Area Reporter.
