Twifo Agona Pentecost Preparatory School Holds Graduation Ceremony

The Twifo Agona Pentecost Preparatory School in the Twifo Praso Area of The Church of Pentecost has organised a graduation ceremony for the 2022 batch of candidates who completed the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

The programme, which was chaired by the Local Manager of the school, Pastor Frank Asomani Asare, who doubles as the Twifo Agona District Minister, took place recently at the Twifo Agona Central church auditorium, under the theme: ‘Unity and hard work to go the next level.”

In a brief exhortation, Pastor Asomani Asare read from Genesis 11:1-9 and explained that nothing can stop people from development if they come together and live in peace.

“The church can move forward and possess the nations when the members speak one language and understand one another,” he said.

He called on the various stakeholders of the school – parents, guardians, pupils and teachers – to come together and contribute their quota towards the development of the school.

‘This school is doing well, but there is much to be done. Enrolment has to increase, and there is a need to give the infrastructure a facelift. The Basic Education Certificate Examination results have to be better than the previous ones. All these can be achieved based on unity and hard work,” he said.

Some of the activities carried out during the programme included choreography, inauguration of a new prefect of the school for the 2023 academic year, and examination talks, among others.

In a related development, the Twifo Praso Area Women’s Ministry Executive Committee, led by Deaconess Abigail Koi Larbi, has donated some stationery and assorted items to the school.

Receiving the items, the wife of the Twifo Agona District Pastor of the church, Mrs Godsway Asomani Asare, and the Headmaster of the school, Mr Michael Teye, expressed their profound appreciation and gratitude to the Women’s Ministry for their kind gesture and benevolence.

Present at the ceremony were the Twifo Praso Area Pentecost Social Services (PENTSOS) Committee Chairman, Elder Joseph Smiles Adu, the Twifo Agona Circuit Supervisor of the Ghana Education Service, Mr  Stephen Cobbinah, among other dignitaries.
