The Kwabenya Old Town District in the Haatso Area of The Church of Pentecost has organised a thanksgiving service for pupils who recently completed Junior High School in the district.

During the service which took place at the Central Assembly auditorium on Sunday, October 30, 2022, the District Minister, Pastor William Amponsah Asiamah, led the pupils to thank God for successfully taking them through the first phase of their education.

Quoting from Proverbs 3:6, he entreated the pupils not to neglect God in all their endeavours and God, in turn, will make their paths straight.

As part of the service, the pupils shared their experiences during the examinations amidst singing in celebration of the goodness of God towards them.

Prior to writing the Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE), the district organised a preparatory seminar for all the candidates. In the seminar, the pupils were oriented on skills in answering questions and the code of conduct for the examinations. The district pastor led them through a time of prayer to ask for God’s hand upon them. The church also organised a mock examination for the candidates to adequately prepare them for the examinations.

Sixty-five (65) mathematical sets and pens were presented to each of the pupils to equip them to write the examinations.
