The Anyaa-Ablekuma Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle William Ohemeng-Kwakye, on October 2, 2022, dedicated the Prophet Martinson Kwadwo Yeboah Assembly church building in the Oduman District.

The building was constructed at a total cost of GHȻ134,693.00, with support from the Church’s General Headquarters through its Community-Based Church Building (CBCB) grant.

Speaking at the dedication ceremony, the Area Head commended the Local Presbytery and the entire membership for their financial contributions to augment the various grants received from the Headquarters, Area and the District.

He also charged the assembly to ensure good maintenance of the building so as to prolong its lifespan.

Apostle Ohemeng-Kwakye expressed his desire to see all uncompleted church buildings in the Area completed. He, therefore, encouraged the Oduman District Minister, Solomon Azagisiya, to work hard towards achieving that purpose.

Delivering a short exhortation titled, “That there may be glory in the Church” at the event, the Ayikai Doblo District Minister of the Church, Pastor Ebenezer Ofori Ansong, stated that the Church is the prophetic voice of every nation and God’s light in this dark world.

Reading from Ephesians 5:20, he further explained that the Church reveals God’s glory, which permeates every sphere, causing communities and nations to be possessed for the Lord.

“As we dedicate the building, we must also dedicate ourselves to God,” he said, adding, “If we also dedicate ourselves to God, then the glory of God shall come upon us.”

Drawing lessons from 2 Chronicles 7:1-4, Pastor Ansong urged Christians to bequeath good legacies to their children just as David mobilised resources to help his son, Solomon, to build the temple of the Lord.

He stated that parents should be able to help their children achieve greater heights than themselves.

Concluding his message, the Ayikai-Doblo District Minister emphasised that “when there is glory in the Church, people easily respond to the gospel message of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit takes over the flesh. Therefore, if there is anything the Church must pursue, it must be for the glory of God.”

The Prophet Martinson Kwadwo Yeboah Assembly church building project began in 2016 and has since undergone various stages of construction until its successful completion.
