Yennyawoso District Holds Financial Seminar

The Yennyawoso District in the New Tafo Area of The Church of Pentecost has organized a financial seminar for all church leaders within the District to educate them on the financial policies of the church.

The seminar, which took place on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at the Central Assembly auditorium, was attended by all Presiding Elders, Local Financial Secretaries and Treasurers.

Reading from Hosea 4:6, the Presiding Elder for Yennyawoso Central Assembly, who doubles as a District Executive Member, Elder Akwasi Sarpong, indicated that knowledge is an essential factor needed to thrive in the fast-growing technological world.

He explained that when someone is entrusted with a task, it is expedient that the person acquires the necessary knowledge to be able to undertake that task effectively and efficiently.

He, therefore, urged the participants to be fully involved in the seminar and to apply the knowledge and the skills acquired in order to effectively handle the day to day financial duties of the church.

Elders Alexander Gyamerah (District Finance Chairman), Lawrence Antwi (District Finance Committee Member) and Deacon Samuel Essiamah were the facilitators for the event. They educated the participants on how to fill the Cash Analysis Book, Daily Offering Book, Assets Book, Payment Voucher, among others.

The participants were also taken through some of the findings and recommendations of the national auditors who recently visited the District.

There was a question and answer session to give the participants the opportunity to seek clarifications.
