As part of efforts to possess the nations for Jesus Christ, the Children’s Ministry of the Yennyawoso District in the New Tafo Area of The Church of Pentecost has held a three-day mega rally at Dichemso, a suburb of Kumasi.
The well-attended event, which took place from August 14 to 16, 2019, was under the theme: “Is Your Name In The Book Of Life?” (Revelation 20:15). It featured only the children in all activities of the programme.
Speaking at the opening session of the rally, a 12-year-old Master Samuel Afriyie Appiah explained that it is required of all persons to believe and accept the Lordship of Christ Jesus to have their sins forgiven and their names written in the Book of Life.
He averred that whoever refuses to make Christ the Lord over his life and soul will be condemned on the day of reckoning. Such a person, he said, will face the eternal wrath of God.
He, therefore, called on all unbelievers not to hesitate to give their lives to Christ to have their names written in the Book of Life in order to be concealed and insulated from the impending wrath of God.
Other speakers at the event were: Miss Diderah Ofori and Master Williams Owusu Gyan.
The presence of God was mightily felt as the residents of the community, both children and adults alike thronged the event venue to listen to the Word of God. They were amazed at the power and boldness with which the children proclaimed the Gospel message.
To the glory of God, a total of seven (7) souls surrendered to the Lordship of Christ Jesus at the end of the event.
In attendance were the District Minister, Pastor Charles Oduro and his wife, Mrs. Gladys Oduro, and Elder Michael Dickson (District Children’s Ministry Leader), among others.
