The Yendi Area of The Church of Pentecost on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, donated some items to inmates and officers of the Yendi Local Prison in line with the church’s “possessing the nations” agenda.
The items, which included tubers of yam, gallons of oil, rice and used clothing. were presented to the prison by the Area Prison Ministry Committee Chairman, Overseer Simon Kwarteng, on behalf of the Yendi Area.
Overseer Kwarteng indicated that the donation was made to demonstrate to inmates and officials of the prison that the love of Christ transcends both spiritual and physical barriers.
The Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Yendi Prison, ADP Simon Adzah, who received the items, expressed gratitude to the church for the kind gesture.
