The indispensable role of the Holy Spirit in the life and service of the believer was highlighted during the Women’s Ministry Week celebrations of The Church of Pentecost at the Adenta Estate Worship Centre, where Mrs. Eunice Quainoo ministered on the theme, “Unleashed in the Power of the Holy Spirit: Fuel for Service.” The message emphasised that effective Christian living and Kingdom service cannot be sustained by human strength, but by divine empowerment.

Drawing from Acts 1:8 and Zechariah 4:7, Mrs Quainoo emphasised that the Holy Spirit remains the believer’s essential fuel for service. Without Him, Christian witness loses power, spiritual labour becomes routine, and ministry risks becoming mere activity without impact. Acts 1:8 was highlighted as a divine assurance that when the Holy Spirit comes upon the believer, power is received to become an effective witness of Christ in every sphere of life.

Mrs. Quainoo pointed to Jesus Christ as the ultimate example of Spirit-dependent living. Though fully God, He did not begin His earthly ministry without spiritual preparation. He waited, fasted, and prayed in submission to the Father, establishing a pattern for believers to follow. In the same vein, waiting on God was presented not as inactivity, but as a vital spiritual discipline that precedes empowerment for service. The command of Christ to “wait” before going was stressed as essential for every believer.

It was further emphasised that Christian women, and indeed all believers, are called to rise beyond dependence on human assistance and live as Spirit-empowered vessels capable of transforming their environments for Christ. The Church, it was noted, fulfils its mandate effectively only when believers are filled and led by the Holy Spirit.

A sober caution was given against spiritual conditions that weaken impact: lamps without oil, tongues speaking without fire, and performances without anointing. These, she explained, represent outward expression without inward spiritual power.

The message concluded with a call for believers, particularly women in ministry, to embrace the fullness of the Holy Spirit and live as empowered witnesses whose lives produce lasting Kingdom transformation.
