The Axim Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Daniel Mireku Gyamera, strongly believes that intense prayer backed by action will lead to the realisation of Vision 2028, the 5-year strategic vision of The Church of Pentecost.
‘Vision 2028 is attainable in your local church/district, but until it is driven by prayer, it will not be achievable,’ he said.
Apostle Gyamera made this statement while speaking at the Western & Western North Regional Ministers and Wives’ Conference at the Akroma Plaza Hotel in Takoradi on Tuesday.
Delivering a paper on the topic, ‘The Characteristics of the Unleashed Church,’ he indicated that Vision 2028 will be driven by a fierce wind orchestrated by God. The church, he stated, must be a praying church to propel this fierce wind.
‘If the vision is to be accomplished, then the church must pray. Every local/district must have a day of prayer. With this, a great revival will break out in all our assemblies, and signs and wonders will characterise the church,’ he said.
According to him, an unleashed church knows no timidity, as the members become as bold as lions to preach the word of God even in dangerous terrains to snatch souls from the power of darkness.
Comparing the New Testament Church to Zion, he said that the unleashed church is a mighty force.
Apostle Gyamera called on the church to take its position, having been clothed with much power from on high to destroy the works of the devil.
‘Until the church arises, darkness will continue to engulf the world. The church should not be like a sleeping giant. God has equipped the church for an onslaught because His intent is to use the church as His battle axe to combat the devil,’ he asserted.
He added, ‘Possessing the nations means that God is using the church to contend for the soul of the nations. Therefore, the unleashing agenda is a clarion call to every member of the church; every member is supposed to be in ministry.’
To show off the beauty of the church, Apostle Emmanuel Mireku Gyamera called for effective teachings (pattern of doctrine) since teachings affect the belief system of people; the belief system determines people’s behaviour and conduct (Romans 6:17-18; Nehemiah 8:9). He also called on Christians to translate their religiosity into everyday lifestyle (Daniel 6:3-5), stressing that when people who come to church have changed lives, their testimonies authenticate the gospel preached from the pulpit.
