The Twifo Zone of Assin Foso Area of The Church of Pentecost has begun the 2019 Easter Convention under the patronage of the Area Head, Apostle Sylvester Arhin.
The convention which is underway at the Sakora Park at Twifo Praso started on Wednesday, April 17, and will end on Sunday, April 21, 2019, under the theme, “Redemption Through The Blood of Jesus” (Ephesians 1:7).
Preaching the sermon on the theme, “Jesus Christ The Only Saviour,” the Wassa Ateiku District Minister, Pastor Solomon Kofi Edusah, explained that Jesus Christ is not just one of the prophets as some religions teach, but He is the Son of God.
Reading from Ephesians 1:7, Acts 20:28 and 1 Peter 1:18-19, among other texts, he continued that, Jesus is unique among all people because of what His blood has done for humanity.
He Pastor Edusah opined that, the blood of Jesus is powerful because of its untold benefits. He said the blood redeems sinners from their sins, justifies those who come to God through Him and accept Him as their Saviour and Lord.
“The blood of Jesus brings freedom from sin, cleanses the conscience of humanity and helps them to live lives that please God. Those who have accepted Him as their Saviour have a glorious hope. God has made provision for all people, no matter their past records. To those of you who have not given your lives to Christ, the door of salvation is still open,” he said.
The Assin Foso Area Head, Apostle Sylvester Arhin, in a brief comment stressed the need for Christians to remain steadfast in the Lord since He is able to keep them from falling. He appealed to those who are yet to surrender their lives to Christ to do so because the second coming of Christ is at hand.
