We Are The Aroma Of Christ — Apostle Nyamekye

Apostle Eric Nyamekye, Chairman of The Church of Pentecost and President of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), has emphasised the identity of Christians as the aroma of Christ, tasked with spreading His knowledge everywhere.

“We are the aroma of Christ. God uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of Him everywhere,” he stated, referencing 2 Corinthians 2:15-16.

He explained that like an aroma, which is  sweet-smelling and pervasive (John 12:3), Christians are to make Christ known across all spheres of influence.

Apostle Nyamekye made these remarks in a sermon titled “God Amid Israel,” during a live broadcast of a Special Sunday Evening Service on Pent TV on March 23, 2025.

Referencing Isaiah 12:5-6 and Numbers 2, the GPCC President elaborated on the Israelites’ experience of God’s presence among them. He noted that God made it clear to the Israelites that He dwelled among them. However, due to a lack of revelation, they confined God’s worship to the temple.

Illustrating the arrangement of the tribes of the Israel, he highlighted God’s central presence among them. He mentioned that when they were on the march, the cloud of glory — signifying God’s presence — would go ahead of them and sometimes rest on the Tent of Meeting.

He further noted that the Ark of the Covenant, which also symbolised God’s presence, was housed in the Tent of Meeting. He then posed the question “Where is God? Is He in the Ark or ahead of them?”

In addressing this, Apostle Nyamekye referred to 2 Chronicles 6:18-21, Psalm 139:1-11, and Job 23:1-4, 8-11, emphasising God’s omnipresence. He stressed that following God’s ways closely and faithfully leads one to His presence, eliminating the need to search for Him in any specific direction.

“Don’t worry about where God is; just follow Him closely in His ways and you will always be where He is,” he assured.

Apostle Nyamekye explained that just as the Ark, which represented God’s presence was in the tabernacle and sometimes moved ahead of or behind the Israelites as a cloud during their journey, God now dwells in believers and is also present everywhere. He emphasised that the bodies of Christians are God’s temple.

“Even though God is in us, He is also at the work place, in the streets, at the office, at the mall, at the salon, on the plane,” he affirmed, stressing, “Every place is a place of His presence. So, let us maintain this consciousness.”

He expressed concern that people often regard these places as devoid of God’s presence.

“We show up in these places, without expecting God to show up. The same God we encounter in church can be encountered at workplace. All we need is to be aware of this consciousness and be sensitive to God’s leading as we interact with people. In so doing, we will become transformative agents in the hands of God,” he encouraged.

Chairman Nyamekye also urged Christians to ernestly desire the gifts of the Holy Spirit, emphasising that the Spirit, who gives these gifts dwells in them.

JESUS CHRIST HAS THE POWER TO SAVE AND DELIVER web

Jesus Christ Has The Power To Save And Deliver – Aps. Emmanuel Kwesi Appiah

The Evangelism Director of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Emmanuel Kwesi Appiah, has emphatically declared that Jesus Christ alone possesses the power to save, deliver, and heal completely.

Speaking at “Central Region for Christ” Crusade under the theme “Jesus Christ, the Giver of Abundant Life,” Apostle Appiah underscored the unmatched authority of Christ in transforming lives and restoring destinies.

Drawing from Hebrews 2:25, he explained that, unlike the high priests of Israel, who had limited lifespans and were replaced upon their death, Jesus Christ remains our eternal High Priest.

He continues to intercede for humanity, rescuing us from the grip of sin and offering redemption to all who call upon His name.

Apostle Appiah contrasted the mission of Jesus Christ with the destructive agenda of the devil as described in John 10:10.

He asserted that while the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, Jesus Christ provides life—and not just ordinary life, but abundant life.

Quoting Colossians 2:13-15, he affirmed that Jesus has publicly triumphed over the forces of darkness, disarming the enemy and granting complete freedom to those who believe in Him.

“There is no other way to come to God except through Jesus. No alternative path leads to salvation,” Apostle Appiah declared firmly.

He stressed that Jesus Christ is the climax of salvation, and the ultimate goal of salvation is eternal life.

Using vivid imagery, Apostle Appiah described the enemy as a ‘robber’ whose arms make him dangerous. However, he reassured the congregation that Jesus has disarmed the devil for the sake of believers.

“Anyone who desires this abundant life must come to Jesus, for without Him, one remains in condemnation,” he stated solemnly.

He further outlined the devil’s three-step agenda – to steal, kill, and destroy—contrasting it with Jesus’ two-step provision: to give life and to give it more abundantly.

He urged the congregation to make a conscious decision to accept Jesus Christ, emphasizing that salvation is found in Him alone.

“This salvation not only secures eternal life but also restores everything the enemy has stolen,” he added.

Concluding his message, Apostle Appiah reassured the audience that Jesus, the Good Shepherd, continues to intercede for His people.

He extended an altar call, inviting those who wished to receive the abundant life found in Christ. In a remarkable response, 101 souls surrendered their lives to Christ, 78 underwent water baptism, and 15 received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

The couple endured years of agony, distress, pain, and numerous medical procedures in their quest to have a child, but their efforts seemed futile. In God’s appointed time, however, their prayers were answered, and they were blessed with triplets.

The three girls were christened and dedicated on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the Kwabenya Old Town Central church building. The ceremony drew an enthusiastic crowd of ministers, members of the church, family, and friends.

Officiating the dedication ceremony was Apostle Emmanuel Agyemang Bekoe, the International Missions Director (IMD) of The Church of Pentecost, assisted by Pastor William Amponsah Asiamah, the Kwabenya Old Town District Minister.

Prominent personalities who attended the service included the immediate past International Missions Director, Apostle Emmanuel Gyesi-Addo (Retired); the Haatso Area Head, Apostle William Boakye Agyarko; Apostle Tony Mensah (Resident Minister of PIWC Atomic), and Pastor Michael Laryea Jnr. (National Coordinator of the Ministry to Celebrities), among others.

In his sermon titled, ‘Whose Son Is This?’ based on 1 Samuel 17:55-58, Apostle Agyemang Bekoe recounted how King Saul marveled at the courage and tactics of young David on the battlefield, as David defeated Goliath and presented the giant’s severed head to the king.

He prayed that the triplets would excel in their chosen fields, displaying courage and tenacity to overcome any challenges they might face.

The IMD encouraged parents to continually pray for their children so they can bring honour to their families.

Jesus Gives Life In Absolute Abundance – Apostle Dr. Jimmy Markin pn

Jesus Gives Life In Absolute Abundance – Apostle Dr. Jimmy Markin

The Cape Coast Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr. Amos Jimmy Markin, has emphasized that an encounter with Jesus Christ does not only transform one’s earthly existence but also secures an eternal destiny.

He said this when he preached on the theme: “Jesus, The Giver of Life,” to a large and expectant congregation at the Cape Coast Jubilee Park last Tuesday night.

Citing John 10:10, he declared, “The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy; but I have come that they may have life, and have it more abundantly.”

He explained that when Jesus steps into a person’s life, their destiny is irrevocably changed for good.

Apostle Markin reassured the audience that no one is beyond the reach of Christ’s love and saving grace.

Drawing from Luke 19:10, he stated, “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.”

He stressed that regardless of one’s background, status, or past failures, Jesus has been seeking them with relentless love.

“Jesus is the one who takes the most overlooked and insignificant person in society, restores them, and brings them back to royalty. He is the one who revives broken souls, renews shattered hopes, and restores life to its divine purpose when surrendered to His rule,” he proclaimed.

Apostle Markin further emphasized that Jesus not only saves but delivers the soul from destruction and grants an abundant life filled with divine purpose and eternal security (Psalm 103:4).

He reassured all in attendance that Jesus is the answer to life’s uncertainties and struggles and urged them to surrender fully to Him.

“Are you wandering in doubt and questioning your worth? We have come to tell you that Jesus is the answer! If you permit Him, He will reshape your life and give it meaning beyond your imagination,” he declared.

Referencing Matthew 14:17-21, the miracle of Jesus feeding the five thousand, Apostle Markin illustrated how God is able to take the little we have, bless it, and turn it into abundance when placed in His hands.

He encouraged believers not to underestimate what they have but to trust God to multiply it for His glory.

Concluding his message, Apostle Markin made a passionate call to all gathered, declaring that Jesus Christ is the only accredited and legitimate source of abundant life.

“If you give Him space in your life, He will bring order to your chaos. If you avail yourself to Him, He will turn your mess into a message of transformation. Jesus is ready to release His abundant life to anyone who seeks Him diligently,” he affirmed.

At the end of the ministration, a heartfelt altar call was made, inviting all those who desired to surrender their lives to Jesus Christ.

In response to this divine invitation, a total of 129 individuals stepped forward, publicly declaring their faith and submitting to the lordship of Christ.

As a testament to their newfound commitment, 60 of them underwent water baptism, symbolizing their spiritual rebirth and entrance into the family of God.

To the glory of God, 18 individuals received Holy Spirit baptism.

7 Valuable Skills for Workplace Success web

Developing a Winning Edge: 7 Key Essential Skills for Workplace Success

Success in the workplace is often determined by a combination of technical expertise, soft skills, and continuous learning. Developing these skills not only enhances career growth but also fosters a more efficient and collaborative work environment.

As Proverbs 22:29 states, “Do you see a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men.” This verse underscores the importance of diligence and excellence in one’s professional journey.

We also learn from Colossians 3:23-24“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” This passage reminds us that our ultimate boss is God, and we should approach work with passion and  integrity as an act of worship.

Below are some of the most valuable skills to cultivate for professional excellence.

1. Technical Expertise: Never Stop Growing

Your technical know-how is the foundation of your career. Staying updated in your field is essential as industries evolve rapidly. Leverage online platforms such as Coursera, Alison, LinkedIn Learning, and Udemy to expand your expertise. As Albert Einstein wisely said, “Intellectual growth should commence at birth and cease only at death.”

2. Leadership Skills: Innovation and People Management

Leadership is not just about authority but also about influence, innovation, and the ability to manage and inspire people. Great leaders empower others, encourage creativity, and drive teams toward success. John C. Maxwell stated, “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.” Strengthening your leadership abilities will make you an invaluable asset in any organization.

3. Problem-Solving Skills: Identifying and Resolving Issues

The ability to think critically and solve problems efficiently is a highly sought-after skill. Organizations thrive when employees can identify challenges, devise solutions, and implement alternatives. As Henry Ford said, “Don’t find fault, find a remedy.” Learning to analyze situations effectively and make data-driven decisions can set you apart in your career.

4. Time Management & Productivity: Working Smarter

Managing your time well is crucial for productivity and reducing stress. Effective time management strategies include:

  • Being punctual at work and meetings.
  • Using a to-do list to organize tasks.
  • Avoiding unnecessary reinvention of the wheel.
  • Leveraging technology for efficiency (e.g., project management tools, scheduling apps).
  • Starting your day early to maximize productivity.
  • Breaking hefty tasks into smaller, manageable parts.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to streamline workloads.

As Benjamin Franklin famously said, “Lost time is never found again.” Mastering this skill ensures both personal and organizational success.

5. Communication Skills: Mastering Oral and Written Expression

Clear and effective communication is the backbone of any professional setting. Whether through written reports, emails, presentations, or public speaking, the ability to convey ideas succinctly and persuasively is critical. Communication skills can be developed with effort and practice, just like any other skill. By working on your communication skills, you can transform your personal and professional life. As John Powell rightly noted, “Communication works for those who work at it.” Warren Buffett once advised, “The best investment you can make is in yourself. The more you learn, the more you’ll earn.”

6. Team-Playing: Collaborating for Success

Being a team player means cooperating with colleagues, contributing ideas, and fostering a positive work environment. Successful teamwork leads to greater innovation and productivity. As Helen Keller said, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” Developing interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence helps in building strong professional relationships.

7. IT Skills: Navigating Digital Tools

In today’s digital age, IT skills are no longer optional. Proficiency in essential tools such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Keep, Google Forms) can significantly enhance efficiency. As Bill Gates stated, “We always overestimate the change that will occur in the next two years and underestimate the change that will occur in the next ten.” Staying ahead with technology ensures adaptability in an ever-evolving workplace.

Conclusion

Investing in these essential workplace skills ensures continuous growth, increased productivity, and professional success. As Aristotle wisely put it, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” Commit to developing these skills, and you will not only advance in your career but also contribute meaningfully to your workplace and beyond.

PENSA-Cape Coast Sector Holds 2025 Edition Of ‘Let The Bible Speak Conference’

The Cape Coast Sector of the Pentecost Students and Associates (PENSA) successfully organised the 2025 edition of the ‘Let The Bible Speak Conference’ with a massive turnout of students.

The event took place at the Centenary Auditorium of Adisadel College on Saturday, March 15, 2025, and was attended by 2,362 participants under the theme: ‘Unleashed to Walk the Word’ (Ephesians 4:1, Psalm 119:105).

The conference was led by Pastor Blessing Joseph Quayson, the PENSA Travelling Secretary for the sector.

Apostle Ebenezer Agyapong, the minister in charge of E-church of The Church of Pentecost, spoke on the theme: ‘The Bible’ (1st Tenet of the church) based on 2 Timothy 3:15-17 and 2 Peter 1:20-21. He urged young Christians to believe in the divine inspiration and authority of God’s word, stressing its importance for teaching, rebuking, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:15-17).

Apostle Agyapong disclosed three key points that demonstrate the Bible’s divine inspiration: its witness to the reader, the fulfillment of prophecies, and its unity despite diverse authorship.

Apostle Dr Amos Jimmy Markin, Coordinator of the Central Regional Coordinating Committee and Cape Coast Area Head, spoke on the topic: ‘Unleashed to Walk the Word,’ drawing from Colossians 2:6-10, 2 Timothy 3:14-17, Romans 15:24, and Joshua 1:8. He pointed out that the Bible is a cohesive constitution that guides believers to live holy lives.

He explained that Jesus left humanity a testament, which is the Bible. He added that for God’s blessings to manifest, Christians must understand and live by its teachings.

Apostle Dr Markin stressed the importance of studying the Bible to strengthen faith and guide decision-making, encouraging daily reading, memorisation, meditation, regular Bible study classes, and application of its teachings.

He concluded his presentation by leading an impartation and spiritual healing prayer session, during which participants were deeply filled with the Holy Spirit.

In attendance were Pastor Samuel Asare (Cape Coast Area Youth Pastor), Mrs. Esther Mansa Annan Quayson (Wife of the Travelling Secretary), Mrs. Mavis Bamfo Oppong (Working Committee), Elder Confidence Koomson (Sector Head), Patrons and Patronesses, School Coordinators, among others.
